“The food at 80 Thoreau is outstanding. Delicious and very well presented. Their wine be the glass has excellent choices and reasonably priced. The restaurant is broken into multiple rooms, which keeps things quite, though takes away from some of the energy. The small bar is beautifully decorated and would be a treat just for a cocktail. The one negative of our experience was the service. It was far from attentive and not particularly knowledgeable. Might have been bad luck and I do recommend going here.”

“The local seafood shack, an institute that West Concord is very fortunate to have. Twins have been slinging the freshest seafood for years.
Whether it’s showing up on a whim to pickup something that looks good, to preordering something fresh and custom from the docks, all the way to some of the best grilled and fried seafood you can get - Twins has got you.”

“Not normally a solo eater, I stopped by the Club Car Cafe in W. Concord, yesterday, and had the most delicious lunch. I ordered the veal parmigiana sandwich which came with fries and, on a 90+ degree day the iced tea I ordered really hit the spot. The veal parmigiana was as good I’ve had at many Italian restaurants. The portion was generous and the price value relationship was excellent. Club Car Cafe has an extensive breakfast menu which is served until 10:45. I had originally planned to go for breakfast but didn’t make it in time. Next time, I will start out earlier. I did pick up a blueberry scone and blueberry muffin, on the way out, and we enjoyed them for breakfast today. Club Car Cafe is a family run restaurant and Bianca and Ron made me feel so welcome. If you’re in the West Concord area, I would definitely recommend having breakfast or lunch at the Club Car Cafe. If you have a little train lover, he/she will enjoy seeing the real trains going by as well as the toy train set , high up on the wall, traveling round and round the restaurant. The menu is extensive and I am fairly certain the Club Car Cafe has a Childrens menu. Handicapped access is something I always look for. There is a ramp on one side of the building!”

“Awesome people! Aways a great food for a fair price!”
“Tucked securely within institutional walls lies one of the most exclusive culinary experiences you’ll never find on Yelp. Seating about 24 discerning guests, this hidden gem, staffed entirely by incarcerated chefs-in-training, offers a prix fixe lunch that’s part fine dining, part social commentary, and entirely unforgettable.
Upon arrival, diners are greeted not by a maître d’ but by security personnel. A photo ID is required—not to confirm your reservation (they don’t take any), but to gain entry. And don’t expect to text your foodie friends a live play-by-play—the use of cell phones is strictly prohibited. As a matter of fact, they aren't allowed in the building. The ambiance, minimalist by necessity, turns your focus squarely where it belongs: the food.
The menu is delightfully succinct: two entrées, two desserts, soup, salad, and a side of humility. This isn’t a place for picky eaters or large parties (groups over four are gently turned away), but those who appreciate well-prepared, honest fare will leave deeply satisfied. On our visit, the creamy split pea soup and crisp green salad set the stage for a surprisingly tender stuffed chicken over mashed potatoes—comfort food with a conscience. Dessert? A homemade lemon cake that was as good as Betty Crocker's finest.
At $3.24 (tipping is not allowed and please bring the exact amount) the meal is a steal—though let’s be clear, this isn’t about the price. It’s about the experience. One hour only, one lunch per day. No children. No frills. Just a quietly excellent, deeply human dining moment behind bars.
Is it the best food in town? Maybe not. But it’s certainly the most memorable—and perhaps the most meaningful.”

“Coffee and service were great! Super busy on a weekend, as in no seating available so I had to get my coffee to go.
But great place, if you can get there and find a seat.”
“Incredible sandwiches and fresh bread baked daily. The veggie sandwich is off the charts (and that’s for someone who doesn’t typically like veggie sandwiches)”

“I first tried this place while working at one of the businesses in the industrial park in which it is situated. But I’m pretty sure anyone can eat here during hours of operation. There was a hot grill with rotating daily specials as well as fresh cold sandwiches and grab&go items. Prices were reasonable and the location is very convenient to the nearby businesses.”

“Four of us had a nice lunch. Since we were meeting 2 people we've not seen in quite a while, we did a lot of talking and the noise level in the room was a little bit loud for conversation. We stayed a long time catching up with our friends, but the staff was wonderful and did not try to rush us along. They understood that the Colonial Inn is a great meeting place for friends on a beautiful fall day.”

“This is my go-to restaurant in Concord for special occasions. They're very good with allergies and avoiding cross contamination, and every dish I've had has been perfectly cooked (apart from the sashimi, LOL). It's a little pricey, but so is everything in Concord. My friends and family have enjoyed eating here as well.”
