“Top Tier Authentic Good Haitian food in my opinion.I love their rice individually grained and light and not greasy. The portions are generous everything comes in its separate container from the meat, the rice and sos pwa or legume. For now on Fridays you get free mac n cheese with your order .This is your mother your aunt your Grandma your wife cooking food for you fresh from the kitchen with love.“

“La Fabrica Central is one of my Latino cuisine restaurants in MA. I’m never disappointed. This time, a group of 5 people went to celebrate a birthday and everyone left so happy and satisfied.

The food is always delicious and the presentation is on point! Recently, our group of people ordered different dishes so we could try different things. The salmon with passion fruit sauce, ceviche mixto, mofongo con camarones, y la chuleta kan kan were delicious. I don’t eat pork, but the chuleta kan kan looked so good that I had to try it. Wow, it was cooked to perfection! The meat was so moist and the skin/cuerito was so good. Every single dish was delicious. The tres leche cake was delicious and the staff sang happy birthday. Throughout the visit, the staff was very attentive and fast.

As a bonus, they have live Latin music on the weekends and you can dance if you wish. They earned their 5 stars! ⭐️“

“i will definitely be visiting The D Coal Pot again very soon. The food is fresh taste great and really good. I was driving and came upon this restaurant i didn't plan on going to this restaurant but I said to self stop and get a few Patties and wouldn't you know they had no Patties. I left the restaurant with Corn Soup Peas & Rice Chicken Roti Beef Roti. I also got to try a dessert I've never had before I don’t know the name of it but had Guava Sweet Potato Coconut and other things to make this dessert which was really good so I ordered 2 to go. D Coal Pot is definitely a place you must visit and get a meal.“

“Great experience at a event for a family. Chester, the owner, did from soup to nuts. Decorating was on point very festive but so tasteful, getting the DJ Larry who was awesome, and providing the meal. The staff was very engaging without being intrusive and pleasant. The food was so good and plentiful. No one left empty handed unless they wanted to. The only downside was the parking and everyone found parking even if it was a little walk to the venue. This place is a must for good vibes and great food.“

Parking is tricky, because there is one entrance and one exit and they are not obvious, so be aware and careful when pulling in (especially if you’re crossing multiple lanes of traffic to do it), but there is free parking.

Also, lots of black ice right now in the lot, which is not the businesses fault, as I’m from of them it’s fine, but just be careful!!!“

“This was my six-year-old’s choice for his birthday dinner! We used to frequent the South End location and since that one closed, we got delivery from Brookline. He wanted to write a review. His review is ‘they are the best cookers in the world.’ He also wants to give the meal seven stars. The food was great as usual! My go-to is the pabellon criollo, delicious and filling! Will have to come by and dine in soon.“

The proprieters very kindly allowed him to use their phone, and while he waited for pick-up, he ordered some food. Walked home after sharing a scoop of oreo and cookie dough (sort of sharing, the boy can be a bit stingy when the food is good...) and with a meal each: jerk chicken and stew beef. We each had a filling dinner last night AND lunch today. Thanks! Looking forward to trying ALL the ice cream flavors :)“

“Tiny, inexpensive ,no frills place with friendly young staff serving up classic Dominican tostados, toasted sandwiches. Takeout only, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. Sandwiches were delicious but a real surprise was the quality of the fruit smoothies! My mango and passion fruit smoothie was so rich and summery, not drenched in sugar at all.“

“Cannot recommend the Right Taste highly enough. The jerk chicken, rice with beans, and if you are lucky plantains are outstanding. I always try to pay cash with a nice tip to support a local business and last time only had two twenties. Rather than break the second bill, the owner said don’t worry about it. “I was one of the first to eat from here when it opened five years ago in the former D'Angelo's location. They food is outstanding, the service is friendly and the space is VERY clean.That's where the compliments stop unfortunately.Despite everywhere else in the area having reopened their dining areas, this location is still Take Out only for unexplained reasons. The McDonald's across the street was one of the first to close their dining space due to the Pandemic and was also one of the last to reopen theirs but they DID reopen their dining area.We're now almost two full years after the Pandemic ended but their dining space remains closed. The only possible explaination I can think of at this point is they're keeping the dining areas closed so they don't have to bother cleaning those spaces several times a day. Either way, they should have a sign posted letting people know if the dining area is permanently closed or no at this point.That aside, the prices on the entrees have been gradually increasing. When they first opened five years ago, the Oxtail plate came in three size options (Small, Medium and Large). In the summer of 2019 they announced due to rising prices on oxtail meat, they were dropping their Small and Large options for the Oxtail and would sell the Medium at a higher price. It started at $18 and is now $22. I like their Oxtail but I'm not willing to pay THAT much for it. I'm better off buying the meat and cooking it myself in that case.It's sad that they've decided to pass those rising costs onto their customers, most of whom live in the neighborhood--myself included. Other options have also had price increases in recent years. The pandemic sucked for everyone but and people get you need to be profitable to stay in business and pay your employees but this is really pushing it.One myth/rumor I've heard for a while that I can personally confirm is NOT true is some think the food is cooked at another location and brought there. This is NOT true. All food is cooked on site in the kitchen in the back. The food is SAFE, Sanitary and good. They also take custom requests on all orders within reason. For example if you want to mix and match certain items in the same plate, you can. Just ask.“

“I ordered a medium fried chicken lunch online and I was amazed that a lady called me to asked what kinda gravy I wanted and that they only had steamed vegetable….an hour later I got my lunch, let me tell you I tasted the rice n peas and eat half of it before I realized I didn’t put the gravy that I got on the side on it, the chicken is also great. “First time eating here after watching tooo many shows on Jamaican food. Everything was absolutely delicious. Jerk chicken - moist, fall apart with a fork and spiced perfectly. The heat is there and it stays for a bit but sooo good Beans and rice - was not expecting a coconut flavor to the rice, game changer for sure and dulls down some of the heat if you don’t like spicy chicken. Corn - roasted and flavorful. I will be coming back here again and again. If you’re in the area you owe it to your taste buds to stop in.“
