“There are hundreds of pizza joints on the Cape. Most are terrible. Quietly Umami has risen. When you walk into a pizza joint and the owner/operator is pulling a pie with flour covering her Levi's and chef clogs...well, ur on to something. Carol, I think her name is, has the audacity to call out Pepe's in New Haven. She kills it. The clam pie is ridiculous. I'm so honored to live close by. Don't miss this one. She's special.“

“We LOVE Ann & Fran’s. Best breakfast on the Cape. Their fresh squeezed OJ is a treat, their fresh baked goods are amazing, and the menu items are unique and so so delicious! When the lemon poppy waffle with blueberry compote is on the specials menu, get it!“

“I can’t comment on the rooms here as we joined them for their restaurant only, but I can say that the food, service and ambiance are all excellent. Ingredients are obviously of primary importance to the chef, and the dishes are very well prepared and presented. It is expensive and the clientele tends to be older, though not exclusively so. There is ample seating inside and out.

Food & drinks: Food is very good: fresh ingredients and artistically presented.“

“We had dinner at The Pheasant, the service was warm and professional, the surroundings were intriguing and welcoming and the food….. the food was thoughtful, creative, and downright delicious. It’s the kind of meal where you talk about the taste, keep sharing bites and keep eating long past when you are satiated because it just tastes and feels so good. So many places fall down on the wine list and pairing knowledge, this is not the case at The Pheasant. Texture, taste, ingredients, presentation, wine pairings, all were spot on! Can’t wait to dine there again. Just do yourself a favor and dine there as well!“

My go to dinner is always the clam chowder and a plate of the best tuna sashimi ever!!

“We’ve been coming here for almost 30 years and have loved every moment. We don’t expect perfection, but we always get perfection as we feel it is. Maybe the staffing was difficult at times during Covid, but they always tried their hardest and we were very happy. And the food is always delicious. No need for those with all the other scrumptious vegan fillings- you can load up a bowl or burrito with any and all vegan fillings- tons of vegetables, black and refried beans, and brown rice. With the loss of my mother shortly before our wedding, she showed me there truly are kind and gracious people here on little Cape Cod. We are truly so lucky to have connected with her and this wonderful bakery. The cake was phenomenal, but the entire experience is a story I'll tell forever. Thank you for everything. “Excellent customer service. It’s so easy to expect unhappy employees during these difficult times, but this is never the case here. Always friendly, smiling, genuinely happy. I ordered a burrito for my children forgetting 1 does not enjoy tomato’s. I came back in to order something more simple and the lovely employee gave me scrambled eggs and bacon in a to go bowl, complimentary. She didn’t have to do that. It was my error. So much appreciated. The food is fresh with flavor, and that’s hard to come by when ordering “quick” bites. Cheers“

“Great sandwiches. Good bagels. Sadly they got my order wrong and I didn’t realize until home. That is the only reason for four stars. Asked for plain- got everything bagels 😖. The sandwiches and coffee were good though. Service was quick.“

“Out of the way restaurant with fun vibe. Live music on a Sunday night. Drinks were super strong which can be good and/or bad depending on what you're looking for in a drink. Really enjoyed the shrimp fra diavlo. Good sized shrimp and nice spicy sauce at a reasonable price.“
