“We ate lunch at Himalaya Curry House for the first time this afternoon. We highly recommend. The food was phenomenal-excellent Northern Indian cuisine. (I don’t like Southern Indian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are very generous and we both went home with enough left over for another entire meal. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, basmati rice spiced with Cumin. My daughter had the Black Pepper chicken, same rice and we shared a side of Aloo Gobi cauliflower florets in a spicy, creamy sauce. There was complimentary chutneys (3 different flavors served with pita crackers. My patient’s family is from Northern India and the mom cooks exquisite Indian food. Fed me home made dinner every work night. That is how I was introduced to spectacular Northern Indian food , so I have a good palate for high quality. The atmosphere is average. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful assisting us with our choices. We will definitely go back again to try different entrees. The menu is extensive!“

“Two years ago I switched my allegiance from Haute Coffee in Concord, MA to Nibbana Cafe in Lowell. While the coffee at Haute is indeed very good (Counter Culture beans, not local), I find the staff there a bit impersonal. Seating is also quite limited. Nibbana has equally good coffee (if not better, which is really saying something), provided by Tiny Arms, a local roaster. There is plenty of seating and parking at their location at Western Avenue Studios. The coffee is generally light-to-medium roast and they offer an array of interesting, unusual coffee drinks (I only drink espresso, straight, so I can't comment on those). At the time of this review, they have been cranking out lots of new food items. The staff is extremely friendly, always offering a welcoming smile and an enthusiastic "Enjoy!" when I pick up my order. The owners truly live by what Buddhists call "right living". They are very community-focused, and it shows. If you haven't checked out Nibbana, you're really missing out on a special place.“

Tonight my wife called to place an order ( of roughly 200.00 to 250.00) for our family. Understandably it took a while for the phone to be answered and when it was and my wife said " hello I would like to place a take out order" received " we are not taking take out orders this eve" and was abruptly hung up on. “My daughter in law’s lovely large Khmer family really wanted to go to this restaurant! We drove from Ny and the other family members flew in from CA and drove from CT. The food was fantastic and quite flavorful. We got a real smorgasbord of various dishes that we all enjoyed. My favorites were the Khmer chicken wings-outstanding crunch and flavor (I like them better than Buffalo wings), and my absolute favorite, lemongrass chicken. Every other dish was amazing, too. I want to go back and try more and the only thing I can say that wasn't enjoyable about the experience was a mall worker had a huge container filled with trash bags. It was very close to the table where I was eating my pizza along with two other people. Fortunately there wasn't any unpleasant wafting of trash aromas because I have a weak stomach, but otherwise I really enjoyed the pizza and the service was timely and the pizza left me craving more. This specific location is located in the food court area of Pheasant Lane Mall which is surrounded by a few other interesting dining options as well.“

“The food here is always good. Ordered the ghost pepper chicken sandwich. While not actually spicy (clearly ghost pepper was NOT used in this), it was however delicious, and for only $10! Beware, it's messy, but worth it.

I've gotten their smoothies in the past, which are always good. I personally find them pricey as they are closer to Boston prices.

All-in-all it's the best consistently good option for anyone working in the area. If you're new to the area just keep in mind this place gets slammed during lunch so indoor seating may be harder to come by.“
