“Delicious menu items.. the pear salad is delicious and a fabulous starter to share. I had the swordfish over the lobster succotash and it was fantastic.. the succotash alone would be a delight! Highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back. We ended with the flourless chocolate cake and it was perfect”

“The hubby wanted to take me to lunch for my upcoming birthday..for our age and for our wallet we always go to lunch vs dinner...we are now already home with the pups in our jammies..so great...now as a self proclaimed foodie, I have wanted to try the food at Alma Nove at the Hingham Shipyard for many years...I am also a huge Wahlbergers show fan...adored their mom Alma on the show and her pal Phyllis...the show is so much fun..binge it if you haven't seen it..anyway...the weather today didn't look too spectacular for a waterfront restaurant but the blue skies showed themselves as we were eating inside...such a terrific location..the shipyard has been revitalized in the last 15 years or so...lots of shopping and dining destinations including the original Wahlbergers Burger Joint...I love this stuff...Dave is like ok whatever...but our experience was lovely..I will say however that my husband and I don't quite fit in the Hingham vibe...and it has a vibe..no shade but it kind of carries an air about it...the people I mean...lol...but we ignored all that and for sure enjoyed lunch..even Dave said how delicious it all was...our server...nice..we typically enjoy banter with our servers...he wasn't about that...all business and he gave us excellent service..but I do have the sense that more than likely the staff has high hopes of gaining maybe a walk on role on Blood Bloods with Donnie or maybe a handshake from Marky Mark when he comes through from time to time...hope for them it happens..fingers crossed...😉..about the food...great bread..seemed homemade but simple..fresh..served with butter that had black specks on it..turns out it was a black salt..interesting..a few drafts for Dave from Mayflower Brewery in nearby Plymouth and I had a lovely Pinot Noir...bottled water on the table..big fan of that..I ordered the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops served over a sweet potato risotto , topped with haricot verts(fancy greenbeans), toasted marcona almonds and truffle honey and my date had the Butternut squash Tortellacci with pan seared chicken topped with sage brown butter sauce, pecorino romano, apple cider gastrique and fried sage and chives..wow..we are styling here in the Shipyard...every bite was spot on and a perfect serving for lunch..we enjoyed all of it..dessert..well.of course..they have an in house pastry chef so that's a given for me..chose the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding..when he returned he also brought a small chocolate dessert..like cake in a jar with whipped cream and a candle...he said they heard someone was celebrating a bday...we never said it so all I can figure is I posted that we were there for my bday and had tagged the restaurant...great social media connection if that was the case...we shared them and they were fabulous...took some photos around the place..ran into folks the hubby knew from Hull..absolutely highly recommend Alma Nove..those that aren't familiar with the background. ..The famous Wahlberg Brothers Donnie and Mark have a brother Paul who is the chef and owner of Alma Nove..named for their precious mom Alma and Nove in Italian means nine..there were 9 Walhberg kids..5 stars from me for Alma Nove.. Open daily for lunch and dinner. .I believe they have live music on Sundays and in the nice weather their outside patio overlooks Hingham Bay...a must try❤️ Mark has famously said their brother Paul is the most talented in the family...I believe that is spot on...”

“We visited for the first time last night and I think it’s our new favorite! My kids LOVED the food-especially my 2yr old, he got the kids fish and chips! I got the half roasted chicken-oh Emmy goodness it was so good! Dessert was great too-baked apple pie! Yum! Staff was kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!”

“My wife and I visited Square Cafe in Hingham last night and we had an awesome dinner! I can't say enough good things about this place. Probably one of THE BEST meals I've had in a long time when dining out. The food...all of it....our appetizers, entrees and dessert was outstanding! Our waiter Jamis was the best! If you haven't tried Square Cafe, do yourself a favor and give it a try. We will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“We stopped by with our whole family after a long day in town. Popped off the ferry and stopped by for dinner. The food was fantastic - came out quickly, was flavorful, and good portions. The kids meals were a hit, and the messes were a highlight!

But the service was worth its own review. The two young ladies manning the bar and the counter were working at double time, filling orders, getting waters, pouring beer. It was a great experience, the patio was great for the kids, and we’ll definitely be coming back!!”

“I had the steak tips cooked medium but it came out well done. My amazing server took it back immediately and brought out a Caesar salad for me while I waited for a new order of steak tips. She even took the steak tips off the bill which was much appreciated. Also my boyfriend's ribs came out cold which was disappointing but they just remade his order. We didn't get handed the Valentine's Day menu until after our meal which sucked because it says the dinner menu starts at 3 pm. But overall amazing place with such great staff and good drinks.”

“I recently discovered Brewed Awakenings, and I am hooked! I visited the Cranston location. The staff was so friendly. The cafe was spotless, and Paul, the manager, is so warm, welcoming, has a stellar personality, and completely makes my morning. It's been tricky trying to find a solid cup of iced coffee that has all of the bells and whistles. I shared with Paul my favorite flavors, and he immediately whipped up the perfect cold concoction. It was my first time trying coldfoam! It is by far the best iced coffee I have ever had. Pictured is brewed Smores iced coffee with Oreo cold foam, crushed oreo cookies, and a smidgen of chocolate syrup. 10/10 recommend. I'm already looking forward to my morning cup.”

“This is the location that got me hooked on their desert coffee. Monthly/daily/daily fruit and dsaily decaf flavors, plus a about 5 or 6 standard flavors. There is a secret menu (IYKYK), which immitates candy bars. The staff is friendly, hardworking and appreciated.”

“I’ve been coming here since it opened, and the coffee—especially the drip—is still some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s extremely consistent and always well-prepared. Espresso drinks like the cortado are just as good.

The pastries themselves are excellent, but availability is frustrating. On weekend mornings, even fairly early, specific items are often already sold out or not offered in the first place, which isn’t typical of other comparable cafés.

Service is generally excellent, but the atmosphere has changed. Smaller tables and a comfortable couch were replaced years ago with one large industrial table and uncomfortable metal chairs. It discourages lingering and makes intimate conversation awkward.

The coffee is still as good as it’s ever been, but between the seating and inconsistent food availability, it’s now better suited for quick stops than relaxed visits.

Finally, I wish they would bring back the self-serve milk and cream station. Preferences vary, and even when I’m specific, the amount added isn’t always to my liking. Allowing customers to add it themselves would be a simple improvement.”

“Every morning I am greeted so warmly by name. My customized lattes are always hot, delicious with a personal note. Sometimes a Wordle clue. I go to Starbucks everywhere I go. This team in the Hingham Shipyard is truly the BEST! Starts from the top.”

“Many nights I have come into my favorite restaurant just a few minutes before they open, and I love to watch as the fabulous cook chops and prepares that night's supply of vegetables. They look so fresh, as though just picked from a garden. But everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned--never over-seasoned or salty--at Muang Thai. The chicken is crisp and still moist inside (sweet & sour chicken), the beef is tender (spiced beef cold salad). The noodles and even the rice is great all by itself. I love the peanut sauce for dipping (chicken satay), the fresh ginger sauce for dipping 'shu mai' (ground shrimp and I don't know what other magic ingredients go into something as special....) There are curries and basil and seafood dishes I've yet to try, but it all looks and smells delightful coming out of the kitchen. The people who work there are in the family or they act like family--even to the guests like me. Everyone is just happy you came in, and that's the best service there is. (and as if this weren't enough--deliciously fresh AND healthy food at fair prices with great service, open on Mondays.... and now they deliver too. Unbelievable. I love this place.”

“I stopped on my way home for a couple of pizzas and an appetizer. As usual, they got our special order pizza right and done perfectly. We have been many times to this Bertucci's and have always been satisfied with either dine in or carry out. The staff is always accommodating and pleasant. We will be back!!”

“It was 5:15ish am and the staff welcomed me with smile. Took my order and prepared everything in less than 2min. Someone is preparing my coffee, another person is working on my hot sandwich and last one packs my donuts. All wish me good day and most importantly coffee was made exceptionally well today. Highly recommend this location.”

“I mobile ordered and when I got there a few minutes later, it was ready and made perfectly.

My only complaint is that I wanted to leave a cash tip, but there was no tip jar where you pick up mobile orders. I had wait in line where people place their orders in store so I could drop it the tip jar there. It’s not a huge deal, but I hope baristas aren’t missing out on tips because of that.”
