The few times I've been low on time over the last year the food has been good. So I've been ordering more and the quality and taste have improved DRASTICALLY. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

I moved out of the area but still visit the establishment when I can and the food, quality and service has remained stella. \n\nThe General Gau's Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles are just a couple of my favorites; however, everything I have tried is delicious. “Ronald Coleman I agree with everything above. Sunrise House is my go to Chinese restaurant. Takeout service is excellent, the food is the best and is always hot when I get home (15 miles away). Love their General Gau's chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and a appetizer of boneless spare ribs--all for a price of $13 +tax. It is enough for me to have 2.5 meals of great eating. Pick up is easy because you can park in a spacious lot. When you go inside you can see and smell the delicious food being cooked in an immaculate kitchen. The interface with the workers is pleasant and quick. I go there an average of twice a month. Try it you will not be disappointed.“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“

“I called this place reluctantly late last night because it was my only real option at 9:30 pm (they close by 10)….i had tried it years ago and didn’t think it was very good. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“

“Straight to the point comfort Chinese food at its best. We had take out trays for a party and we non stopped munched on each dish non stop for the duration of the celebration. We had pork fried rice which was addicting, the sweet and sour chicken and chicken fingers were on point on flavor and crispy! Not to mention the crab Rangoon wontons which we devoured within the first few minutes. Would definitely come back!“

They have shareable congee, soup dumplings and rice roll dishes. They have a kiosk at the door to order your food and they bring it out to you. I feel like I got coaxed into paying with cash because it was empty. I didn’t see any signs indoors or in the reviews about the supposed $10 minimum as there usually are. Thankfully, I had cash on me, but a heads up for anyone ordering inside.“

Five of us arrived from out of town and walked in to see the four person table occupied and one person at one of the two person tables (yep, three tables total). The proprietor moved the two folks at the four person table to the two person table (they were regulars and happy to move) and grabbed the spare chair and suddenly the place was at full occupancy!

The menu is expansive and required a bit of explanation for our group to pick a meal, but absolutely everything was great. The winners were a dish consisting of well fried chicken and noodles and the orange chicken (my choice). Everyone at the table said the chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor and spice were just right. The portions were generous, but alas I had no leftovers to take home.

It seemed like 50 takeout orders went out while we were there. Obviously the locals love the food.“

“South Garden is a Chinese restaurant located right outside the heart of Quincy Center serving traditional South Chinese and Cantonese dishes for lunch and dinner.

The staff are friendly, definitely helps to know Cantonese but they can communicate well in English as well.

As for the food, its alright. The quality is pretty much the same as other restaurants, though the beef satay chow fun wasn't as good as other places i've tried. Very good spot to get traditional Cantonese dishes like fried squid or fried porkchops for a reasonable price and reasonable quality.“
