“Had a burger plate with fries and rings; delicious for a good price! No frills - it's a hole in the wall place - but good food made fresh to order with great service. The style that reminds me of some of the great small town burger joints I've had over the years - not the gastropubs and brewery/restaurants that seem to be way more common in Metro Boston. Bravo!“
“Truly a neighborhood gem. I've lived around P&K for many years and I don't know why it've taken me so long to sing their praise. Perhaps I am being selfish and want the subs all for myself! =D For $12 bucks you've got a substantive, full-loaded sub and make one or two delicious meals out of it. While you wait, kibitz with your friendly neighbors, get a scratch-off, some chips, some sweets and a coffee. You will be not be disappointed.“
“So glad we went here. Well rated for a reason.Fast, hot, delicious food and the price is right. Service is warm and authentic.Come here for breakfast if you want something filling and tasty. Thanks so much. Knocked it OUTTA THE PARK!Recommend the pastrami hash sub if you're super hungry.“
“What can I say about Jim's? One of my favorite food places in MA. I saw them on Phantom Gourmet awhile back, and then tried them to no disappointment. The inside is a cool cafeteria style with lots of seating. And everyone is very friendly and personable. Never had a bad thing here—my favorite items are the breakfast wraps and specials like chicken pot pie. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge, and they sometimes throw in extra cookies or bread with dinners. I primarily get delivery on the apps, but have done takeout as well. And they never mess up. Even doctors I see at St. Elizabeth's love them?. Highly recommend?“
“A hidden ?,In Boston.Eastie.Nicky, is very compassionate & goes above and beyond for his customers. One of the best Italian subs in Boston, He will even separate the vegetables oil So that way the subs don't get soggy upon request and will not hesitate to accommodate his customers. Please put Carmella's on your go to ✔️ list.“
“We love Inna's Kitchen and order for dinner a few times a month. Our favorites are Chicken Masala, Chicken Schnitzel, any of the pilafs (Kasha or Rice), Beet Salad, Eggplant Caviar, Eggplant Rollatini, Latkes, Israeli Salad... THANK YOU Team Inna for nourishing us w/such healthy and delicious food that our young kids, parents and grandparents love!“
“To be honest, I don't normally eat deli meat, but the pictures looked good, so I decided to check out Fresser's Delicatessen since I was in the area. There is a small parking lot out front and a few counter seats with a small area for ordering inside.I got a corned beef sandwich on marbled rye with Swiss cheese (I basically constructed a Reuben without realizing it) and a cinnamon pecan pastry. My total came out to be almost $20, which feels like a bit much for a sandwich, but I think it is on par with most other sandwich/deli shops nowadays, and the portion size could be enough for two meals depending on how much you normally eat. The corned beef was thinly sliced and very soft. It was also too salty for my liking, but I think corned beef is typically supposed to be saltier (again, I don't normally eat deli meat). As stuffed as the sandwich was, the sandwich did not fall apart when I ate it, which was great, and it tasted even better toasted. The cinnamon pecan pastry was a nice, little sweet to top off the meal. What really made my visit was how kind the people working there were, especially the lady who took my order. I can see this place being a local favorite; definitely had old time, mom-and-pop vibes.“
“I moved to the area about six months ago and Meridian has been my go-to lunch place - I cannot recommend it enough. The food is incredible (especially the chicken caesar, Meridian special, meatballs and chicken limon) but literally everything I’ve tried is incredible. Very homey inside as well!“
“I love this place so much. My boyfriend introduced me to this place and I can't help but to come back for more. The bahn mi sandwhiches are AMAZING and I always get either the cold cut or the bbq pork. The service is amazing and very quick. The ambiance of the store is little and dainty, but they get the job done. I love this place with all my heart.“
“Lovely store, with many Polish and European people, never ending good food, quite a selection of deli meats and cheese, and the vibe of the shop is nice. Stop in if in the region. The parking is horrible, but I will not lower the rating as it is not a option the owner can even change.Parking: Limited parking (roadside) on the street, in front of the store. Usually crowded and filled.“
“Huge, delicious sandwiches piled high with perfectly sliced Boar's Head meats. Quick, friendly staff and tons of parking. If you're a sandwich fan and can make it to the Canton-Stougton line before closing time, you should try A Cut Above.“
“Catering. Chicken parm, eggplant parm & raviolis were excellent. Got chicken florentine too, ehhh. Expected it to come like the parm.(same price) chicken topped w spinach & cheese & sauce. But it was all chopped up & loaded with ziti. It was mostly a pasta dish. The biggest offense w it for me was that it had red peppers in it. Yuck. My fault I guess cuz I assumed it would be like I have had everywhere else. Everything else I ordered was delicious & eaten. Only thing I took home was a full tray of of the Florentine which will go bad cuz I don't like peppers. Prices are good too.“
“Very well located and excellent establishment!!! Pastries, homemade food, burgers, everything is delicious, you can get a taste of Brazil and satisfy your nostalgia a little. Don't waste time or have any doubts, this is the right place to remember our origins.“
“Great locally owned spot for breakfast. The food was fast and fresh! And a great value! I had the 3 cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes, they were skin-on reds! My young daughter (9) had the English muffin egg and bacon —she wholeheartedly agreed. Beats the socks off the chain places nearby with preprepped frozen foods being made by people who don’t care.“
“I ain't never been hea before but I can say this is the best sub I've had in boston, I always stop by the convenience next to this one but they didn't have that so I went to check it out, if you def lookin for good subs come here its good ash.“
“I've been working on Wood rd for a few months and have been going to Wood Road Deli every day for lunch. Ive tried the whole menu and haven't been disappointed once. The chicken salad is the best I've ever had. The staff is very friendly. 5/5 I will be continuing to eat there every day.“
“Absolutely the best sandwich in the Boston area! Just finished a gigantic Italian sub with everything on it along with an amazing Roast Beef Stallion. Neither of us could finish it, they were so amazing. Also got a couple cupcakes for dessert and we are absolutely in heaven. Bill and his wife are the nicest people on the planet. The family has been managing that place for 60 years and it shows. Incredible experience. Thanks Bill and family! We will be back!“
“While visiting Boston I was looking for a good Italian sammie. After reading lots of reviews, I settled on Milano's and I'm glad I did! The staff was fantastic, as a chatty midwesterner I always want to talk, but the people of Boston do not. Once they found out I was from out of town they wanted to give me all the food advice, and were absolutely the sweetest. I had the Italian Grande, the Arancini, and a ricotta canoli. The sandwich was probably the best Italian sammie I've ever had, and I think my favorite meal in Boston overall. Just sad I didn't get to grab a sandwich on my way out of town.“
“Went here after checking in at our hotel, mainly stopped by because it was close by and we were starving. Didn't expect to walk in to an authentic grocery store and sub place. Tried the sub with chicken, coleslaw, tomatoes, can't remember what else was on it. Solid 8/10, good sub and huge portions def recommend for seaport area sandwiches! Also had seating in the back.“
“This is no longer Newton Street Market & Deli. It is Salgueros Market carrying Spanish/Latino groceries. The kitchen also prepares a wide variety of sandwiches and subs. They also have a selection of butcher quality meats including cow hooves, tripe, chorico (hot & mild) and a variety of marinated chicken.“
“For a few households, I ordered 16 lbs of chicken salad and finger rolls and a Greek salad. I ordered 2 days ahead so I wouldn’t go in and unexpectedly take so much inventory from their refrigerated case and bread shelves. I parked on the side street beside them. Everything was ready on time. They are insanely busy but work quickly and pleasantly and folks are in and out. Staff even offered to assist with bringing everything out to the car. As always, chicken salad is perfect, finger rolls are fresh and good, salad was fresh with plenty of dressing on the side. Thank you-this provided a treat for many :) JT“
“(Translated by Google) I was very happy to find several Brazilian products, the sausage (sausage) equal to the Brazilian one. Congratulations on the service, I also liked the price of many products and keep it up. Five star because I can't give more.(Original)Fiquei muito feliz de encontrar vários produtos brasileiros, o salsichao ( linguiça ) igual ao brasileiro. Parabéns pelo atendimento, gostei também do preço de muitos produtos e continuem assim. Cinco estrela porque não posso dar mais.“
“Eagles Deli not only impressed me with their generous portions and delicious food but also went above and beyond by surprising me with complimentary fries. The service was exceptional, creating a positive dining experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the quality of the food, coupled with the unexpected gesture of free fries, made my visit memorable. I highly recommend Eagles Deli for both their tasty menu and outstanding customer service.“
“I was actually thinking of giving them 5 stars but also had a few minor suggestions. In actuality this is a 4.5+ stars. I ordered fried dough and a chicken parm sandwich. The fried dough was great - light and airy and no hint of greasiness but it definitely needed more powdered sugar. The chicken parm was fantastic - the chicken to bread to sauce to cheese ratio was all spot on. The one suggestion I have is for thinner pieces of chicken- the chicken was on the thicker side. Overall I will definitely be back - sooner than later. I want to try so much more on the menu what should I try next?????“
“I ordered 3 trays of food from Salem Food Market the day before a family luncheon, the antipasto salad, the stuffed shells, and the chicken parm. I asked to pick up at 11:30 and the food was ready early, my extended family (all Italian heritage and great Italian cooks in their own right) raved about the food. The shells were perfectly cooked, the cheese fluffy and light, the chicken flavorful, the bread tasty and airy. Our meal was so satisfying. I also got dessert which was delectable—chocolate caramel cake, blackberry cheesecake and carrot cake. More raves from a family of foodies! Get yourself to Salem Food Market today!!“
“Ate here on vacation twice and the family loved it. Breakfast was great- I had the breakfast sandwich and the kids had pancakes. Lunch had many unexpected items. I had the musaka, which I had no idea what it was, but it was amazing. The guys working the counter bantered and were a ton of fun.“
“Simple, consistent, and delicious food. The pricing is fair for how much, and quality of food received. Compared to other business around the area: this small business is a gem worth the money, value and time.Very little wait time: the individuals working behind the counter were competent, welcoming, and friendly. The store atmosphere is very early 2000s, so if that’s your thing: you’ll find no trouble. If you’re looking for a quick bite or some food with friends, this is top 5 option in the area.“
“2/17/2024Maxine's Deli is a great place to stop and enjoy breakfast or lunch all day. The atmosphere is well seasoned, but that could be why their prices and their food plated quantities are still at pre-covid prices. This delicatessen had volumes of choices for breakfast, food like omelets, pancakes, and several breakfast specials. The lunch menu also has quite a selection of sandwiches and wraps with a few choices for soup. We enjoyed the mazzaball soup, a meat knish, and a two meat deli sandwich on marbled rye. Today's find was such a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our food.“
“10/26/23 Thursday came here around 11:40 am for lunch because the ham is so good! The customer service was excellent and Ana was welcoming and friendly! I ordered the Ham & cheddar biscuits and I ordered the classic ham & cheese sandwich classic on a croissant. The ham & cheese sandwich was perfect the ham is so delicious the croissant tasted fresh and you get a good portion of ham on your sandwich. I got the meal also chips and a drink. If you want to seat and eat plenty of tables and it’s very clean inside. Definitely need to get a ham for Thanksgiving at this place also!“
“Their pizza is really really good -- on par with the Regina's, Santarpios and Pleasant Cafe of the area -- and they have good 'by the slice' options. That Bourdain Mortadella sandwich is a keeper. There's danger lurking in the West Roxbury location as they have a shared dining space with the Sugar Bakery. On other words, you come here with a calorie deficiency, because you'll be getting caught up. Great place.“
“I picked up the haddock family fish fry Saturday night and I have to say it was probably the best fried haddock we’ve ever had. The batter had a slightly sweet flavor and the fish was so flaky, and cooked perfectly!! French fries were crispy and the coleslaw was amazing!! Definitely getting this again!“
“Fun local deli right next to a fire station, so you know the food is legit.Staffs were friendly. Portions were large.Grown-up Grilled Cheese was delicious. The BBQ brisket were tender and melts in my mouth.Steaktip sub was huge, my friend couldn't even finish. Can't go wrong with steak tips plus peppers and onions.“
“What a wonderful variety and deli. The store is exceptionally clean with a wonderful variety of your last minute needs. The owner manager " Al" has was the original owner when he was the Tedeschi franchisee then the store was sold by corporate to 7/11 which was an abstract failure so Al bought back the store to reopen the Pit Stop deli and variety. They only use Boars head meats and all the salads are made fresh daily. The newest addition is their Fried chicken station which has amazing food. If you have any problem Al is the man to talk too and he will help you anyway he can. Great coffee and pastries in the am too. You will not be disappointed here. Grab a breakfast wrap or a burger for lunch. This place is a little gem.“
