We sat outside, had a beautiful view of the mountains, seating was quaint, and they had some soft music playing in the background. The food was not every-day fare, it was creative, delicious and perfect. I recommend the striped bass with sweet potato puree, and a sauce made from a plum wine. I paired with the strawberry rubarb wine..... every sip and every bite was perfect!“

“ok, so I'm not sure what happened tonight, but a far different experience from a few weeks ago. Then Iwas impressed with service, food, cocktails. the whole experience was just wonderful last time. after that girls night out, I raved to hubby "we got go there!" I work in Leominster, but live 45 mins away, so we usually dine out more local to home. Tonight started with an espresso martini...well, they've decided to top it with a cold foam type of topping. so the whole top have inch of the glass is foam, not beverage. martinis are expensive, a martini should be brim full, disappointed and felt cheated for the price. I ordered their boneless "jumbo chicken wings". turned out to be 6 little chunks of chicken, not much bigger than mcnuggets, and they were way over cooked to the point they were rock hard. I had to discreetly remove some from my mouth because they were beyond rock-hard. a dining companion in the group had the same experience with hers.the sauces I chose to accompany were tasty, but they didn't do much to help the chicken. the female bartender was great, attentive, and happy. wish I could rave, but not this time sadly.will try again because I don't think this was normal“

“I was in this area, at NAPA grabbing some parts. Saw Choff's truck next door and asked the guys if was any good. They all lit up. Awesome steak sandwiches. Guy had been there since the 80s. I went right over and ordered a steak tip, peppers, onions, and cheese. He also makes a home made sauce for the subs. Make sure you ask for it. It's amazing, and there is an interesting history to it also. The sandwich was awesome, and everything the guys talked it up to be. Fresh steak, cooked perfect. The roll is from a bakery in Boston and the bread was perfect sandwich style. If you ever get out this way, make sure you stop in and try this perfect steak tip sandwich!“

“My wife and I are regulars at Kennedy's Pub, and we usually sit at the bar. Bartender Billy is as nice a guy as you can find, and he also makes a great martini. The food is consistently excellent, and their prime rib special as well as their clam chowder are the best in the world, and that is not an exaggeration. The atmosphere is cozy and down-to-earth. We feel very fortunate to live so close to such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant!“

“Family friendly food in a family friendly atmosphere, a welcome addition to Boxborough’s otherwise nonexistent dining options. If you’re looking for a brewery, go to Dirigible. If you want better food, go to Oscar’s. But if you want somewhere you can enjoy a beer outside while your kids play games (corn hole, ping pong, shuffle board) with decent vegetarian options, then you’ve come to the right place.“

“The best breakfast & food service in town, and possibly anywhere around by a long shot. They truly go above and beyond to make everyone’s experience exceptional.

I’ve driven cross country 9 times and have eaten at countless breakfast spots locally and all over the country, and this is still my favorite place anywhere. I honestly feel so lucky that a place this good is right here in my own town.

The food is consistently incredible, the portions are generous, everything is fresh and cooked exactly how it should be, and there’s clearly a lot of care that goes into what they serve. Their sauces are absolutely to die for, you will want to put them on everything.

The service is what really sets them apart. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of, and that kind of genuine effort is getting harder and harder to find.

I’ve tried a LOT of breakfast places over the years, including some that are highly recommended and well-known, and I still find myself comparing them to this place. Somehow, this little local spot continues to win.

If you’re anywhere nearby, go here. If you live in town and haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

This isn’t one of those reviews where I’m trying to convince myself that a place is great because it’s local. I’ve had the opportunity to eat all over the country, and this is genuinely my favorite.

“I personally think this place is awesome, especially when it comes to the service alone. I didn’t quite get to experience it as a regular diner, but rather as an event vendor, since I was there capturing a wedding.

The ladies working the event space upstairs, who I believe go by Alisha and Janice (and please forgive me if I got their names wrong!), were absolutely unreal. They were so kind, attentive, and genuinely nice—which is something I honestly don’t encounter too often as a vendor.

They weren’t just friendly and helpful to the guests; they were that way with me as well. They made me feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of throughout the event, and that really stood out to me. Great service can make such a difference, and these ladies were a huge part of what made my experience there so positive.“

“We live near by and friends have been telling us to go here for pizza. We finally stopped in for dinner and we were glad we did. The waitress was so friendly. Her reccomendations were spot on. My husband's martini was perfect. Really enjoyed the patty melt and the pizza was the best we have had in a long time. We will definetly be back!“

“We brought three generations to Special Teas to fulfill my mother’s wish to have tea with her daughters and granddaughter. It was a lovely way to spend a fall afternoon. The service was fantastic and staff were very attentive. The variety in teas allowed everyone in our group the opportunity to experience unique tea flavors. I was curious about what sets 99 apart from similar chains like Applebee’s, and the answer I got was simple: “They think they’re better and charge more.” While neither is glaringly obvious, the menu does offer a few standout dishes, like the Shepherd’s Pie - a refreshing option compared to the usual burgers and fried food lineup.

Next time, I’ll try sitting at the bar - it looks like the kind of spot where this place really shines. For a casual, satisfying meal, 99 in Hudson is worth a visit.“

“I want to make some suggestions rather than saying I do or don’t recommend this place. I’m familiar with Pepper’s, and I like to support hard-working chefs, especially when they use local farms and vendors. The overall concept of self-service is fine, but I preferred the table service of the old restaurant. It felt a little more closed in, and I also don’t like the paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. Real utensils were available, though. The salad choices looked really healthy and colorful, and the menu was certainly varied enough. I saw a frittata being served and it was the size of a half piece of pie, though it looked good. My friends and I opted for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, thinking they would be more like upscale comfort food. Two of us had the bacon-tomato version, the other had the mushroom. Since they were pre-made, then popped in a convection oven, they were more like melted cheese on dry, light toast, versus the buttery, golden goodness that makes a grilled cheese what its name implies. The portion was small and the fillings meager. If the idea was to make it a healthier grilled cheese, even a drizzle of olive oil might help. The soup was luke-warm, but tasty enough. We shared a dessert bar, which was delicious, with black coffee, which didn’t taste fresh like it had ben sitting a while. Be forewarned that if you pay by credit card, an automatic 15 percent tip is added, though you have the option to change it up or down, if you happen to notice it. There wasn’t much service involved, and you clear your own table. My portion alone, which included the sandwich with chips, a cup of soup, dessert bar, and coffee, plus added tip came to just under twenty dollars. I would give it another shot, but there is room for improvement. We all agreed that the dining experience was at a grade of about C+. Wishing you success in the future... Hope this helps.“
