“It's been a while since we have been in Great Barrington and some friends of ours recommended Soco creamery. They had lots of different flavors of ice cream including some that were made without dairy. I ordered a black raspberry dairyless one and it was really interesting, pretty sure it was a frozen yogurt flavor but still good!“

“Need a great bagel and a cup of coffee? Look no further than bagel and brew. Not the biggest menu by any means, but they have all that you could need in a bagel shop. We got an everything bagel with the buffalo cream cheese. The buffalo cream cheese has the perfect kick to it. We also got a salt bagel with scallion cream cheese that was great! Nice, small local spot that's perfect for a delicious and quick breakfast.“

“This may very well have been the best dining experience we have ever had. We were given a complimentary toast for our anniversary. Brandon was fantastic. He was busy, but on top of it. Very attentive and helpful. Gave great recommendations when asked. We started with a dozen oysters, they were so fresh and delicious. Then tried the french onion bread and it did not dissapoint. It was crusty and cheesey on the outsoft and gooey on the inside. My husband had the korean ribs and enjoyed every bite. I had the scallops and pork belly. This dish was incredible, it was served over creamed cauliflower and everything married together so perfectly. We ended things with the dessert from the specials menu and two cappuccino. An awesome finish to a truly wonderful dining experience. We will be back.“

I read an article about the business the evening prior to going that told the story of how a couple wanted to start a small, French-inspired business dedicated to quality, which only increased my sense of anticipation. There is a sense in this place, as in a few other Berkshires establishments, that only the absolute "best of the best" is to be found inside. This is what makes a place deserving of five stars. Understated, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and highly curated food selection. I got the smoked salmon baguette sandwich, which would have been plenty for two people to have as a sort of breakfast sandwich. At 16ish after tip, it was on the pricier size, but again would make a great breakfast/snack for two with lattes on the side. Bizalion's is one of the places that makes the Berkshires the food emporium that it is.“

“Imagine my delight when I found this gem during a visit to Great Barrington while touring the area. We had our senior dog with us and my husband and I needed a table outdoors to eat in the shade. Almost out of options, then we walked down a side street off Main Street and found STEAM Noodle Cafe among the few open restaurants on a Monday at the shared patio area. I LOVED the Northern Thai Curry Chicken bowl, accurately described as “flavorful but not spicy”. All I can say is YUMMY. I don’t “do” spicy and am often disappointed when i trust a restaurant to accurately describe a dish as not-spicy. This dish was gorgeous, colorful and I almost licked the bowl clean. While stepping back inside to praise the restaurant, another customer heard my rave review and also ordered that dish. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there often.“

“We always enjoy dining at Jaes but now they have a new policy and allow only 1 check per table. While I can certainly understand not wanting to have 10 checks at one table, we were just a 4 top. It's just awkward for the customer whereas not so for the server“

The service is excellent from the moment you walk in, the menu has a lot of options that all sound so good, and peak lunch time on Valentine’s Day our food came out quickly but we did not at all feel rushed. My pecan crusted Caesar salad was amazing and Mike’s salmon BLT was excellent he said. What a great discovery! Decent prices too. AND next door to Chocolate Springs!!
