“My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.

Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“I've been going to Simards for 20+ years and prefer it to other local roast beef places because they remain friendly and affordable despite the changing times. The drive thru sign needs major renovations (like lights) but I don't come for a drive thru sign I come for a decent roast beef sando with fries and a drink. There is always someone friendly working the window and the cost does not break the bank like a similar places like this.“

“Food made with love is something that you can’t just find anywhere, but you can with one bite into any item on the menu at Graffiti Pizza and Street Food. My fiancée and I went tonight, I ordered a regular slice and I got the Pizzaiola sub. The slice was simple, however the taste of homemade ingredients slaps you in the face. The pizzaiola sub was something extraordinary. Half a pound of chuck steak, delicious vodka sauce and homemade mozz on fresh Italian bread… can’t beat that. For dessert we got homemade pumpkin pie. Don’t tell her but my grandma couldn’t make a better pumpkin pie on thanksgiving day. Everything was great, phenomenal date night and the owner Dave is a gem. One hell of a spot, We will be back.“

Ordering is efficient, orders are fulfilled accurately and quickly, and employees resolve any issues quickly and respectfully. Flavors are posted legibly and the variety of flavors is excellent. There is a parking lot, which is nice, and indoor seating and ordering which is helpful in the winter.“

The offerings themselves, which are varied and excellent, the staff, and the physical environment are all perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch. “I’m honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through the experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It’s easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair?

For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I’m very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what “real” Beef Rendang is. I don’t even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say “that’s not how my grandmother makes it” (lol).

What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn’t so often omitted). “Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one”.

That definitely applies here with their style of food. There’s a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!“

“This place never disappoints me! Been going here every once and awhile since 2021 and this place is better than most McDonalds locations. The food is always fresh and burning hot, the McFlurrys are perfectly mixed unlike most locations that don’t even care to mix it at all. “This is my go-to place whenever I visit H-Mart food court. We usually visit on weekends and the lady that's always there is so friendly and nice. Very willing to provide extra pickled radishes or to go boxes, or whatever else we might need. It is a food court, and it can get busy, so I'd suggest getting here earlier if you want a table fast as it's first come first server, like any food court.We always get the half and half, whether it be jjajang-tangsooyook or jjamppong-jjajang or whatever else. The portions are great, as you can see in the photos. But the flavor is really good too. Especially on the jjamppong, we love the soup and the noodle. The soup has a kick to it without being overly spicy and has all the flavors of the ingredients infused into it. The noodle soaks up the soup nicely too. And there's a ton of seafood in it as well. Whenever we can, we always get the fried dumplings or goonmandu as well and they are amazing. They are so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They pair really well with the food. The tangsooyook is also really good in that the sauce isn't too sweet or tangy and the fried pork in it are also very crunchy.We like this place much better than the one down in Boston, which works out since we can just shop at the H-Mart too (and pick up some delicious egg toast from Oh-K Dog to go).“
