I know, white cheese dip is not a culinary marvel or even anything authentic but man I love it and I've been missing it since moving here from the south. The food was solid and reasonably priced. Also, you get chips and salsa when you sit down - big plus on my book. The menu has draft beer listed, but it wasn't available when I visited.“

“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.“

“Looking for dinner options along Moody Street and this was an easy choice. I've been to Dallas and had a fun evening in their Deep Ellum neighborhood so why would I skip the opportunity to try it again.

Lots of options here, considering we have meat eaters, pescatarians and kosher eaters in the group tonight. We started off with a plate of their pickles and they were fabulous. With it, beers! Including a draft German beer for me and a tin of a non-alcoholic for Mrs. K.

For main, I chose the Italian sandwich and it was fabulous. Well loaded and very tasty if perhaps a little messy. But that's what napkins are for. Mrs. K. chose the grilled cheese and said it was excellent.

“We have ordered takeout twice now. The food is excellent. We have had the enchiladas rojo, the carne asada Plato and quesadillas and an exceptional pork torta. All have been seasoned well and so flavorful! The only tiny complaint is that the side of guacamole with my quesadillas was very tiny, like a tablespoon. Next time (and there will e a next time) I will call that out when ordering This is a true gem in Billerica, you won’t be sorry“

“This was my first meal back in the U.S. after a year living in Italy, and as someone who genuinely misses good Mexican food, Acapulco was a very welcome return. The dining room feels old-school in the best way, comfortable, familiar, and clearly rooted in the neighborhood rather than chasing trends.
The chips and salsa set the tone immediately: crisp chips and a salsa with real depth and heat, not watered down or forgettable. The chicken tamales were comforting and well-seasoned, with tender filling and a sauce that actually carried flavor. The beef burrito was generous and satisfying, the kind of plate that reminds you why this style of Mexican food is so missed when you live abroad.
Nothing here is trying to be reinvented, and that’s exactly why it works. Solid, confident Mexican cooking in a long-standing Jamaica Plain spot that knows what it does well.“

This is a greasy spoon atmosphere and they clearly weren’t used to getting questions about the ingredients, but they dish out some amazing food.“

“Chilacates is a chain of quick service Mexican restaurants around the Boston area. The food is made fresh, and ranges in style such as Birria Tacos and more.

We ordered takeout, and we got the birria taco and some nachos. The nachos were good, not overly spicy but had a good flavor and wasn't soggy from the cheese on top. We though the Birria taco was a little bit lacking, as it felt flat and not similar to other birria tacos we had, and the flavors weren't entirely there. Portions were also a bit expensive for what we got.“
