21 Best Coffee Shops in Lowell

“Two years ago I switched my allegiance from Haute Coffee in Concord, MA to Nibbana Cafe in Lowell. While the coffee at Haute is indeed very good (Counter Culture beans, not local), I find the staff there a bit impersonal. Seating is also quite limited. Nibbana has equally good coffee (if not better, which is really saying something), provided by Tiny Arms, a local roaster. There is plenty of seating and parking at their location at Western Avenue Studios. The coffee is generally light-to-medium roast and they offer an array of interesting, unusual coffee drinks (I only drink espresso, straight, so I can't comment on those). At the time of this review, they have been cranking out lots of new food items. The staff is extremely friendly, always offering a welcoming smile and an enthusiastic "Enjoy!" when I pick up my order. The owners truly live by what Buddhists call "right living". They are very community-focused, and it shows. If you haven't checked out Nibbana, you're really missing out on a special place.“

“This place is the definition of a HIDDEN GEM. My boyfriend and I wanted to grab a quick bite after the gym and we came across El Bunker on Google. When we walked in we were greeted by Camilla who is the sweetest! She was making Pão de Quiejo and they were AMAZING. (even better than fogo de chao in my opinion)We both got the Cuban sandwich which was so yummy. The bread was toasted and the garlic sauce really made the sandwich. I also got the guava shake and it was delicious and my boyfriend got a coffee with condensed milk which he loved.This place deserves more recognition for the quality of food and service they provide. Definitely will be visiting more!“

“Came in to DD on Central St, the man was very helpful and explained everything to me I Inquired about, however, I noticed immediately the place was immaculate and this is the first time I have encountered that at this DD. These gentlemen were so accommodating and friendly and I totally appreciate it big time

“I just want to say I order both app and through drive thru. Both are always done as quickly as possible, even when there's a long line. It's the only Dunkin's I'll go to because I know my drinks will always be done correctly. Also I want to give a huge shout out to the crew who works in the afternoon/evening. They are always extremely friendly and so kind. Usually always the same workers, so I look forward to getting my drinks from them. I hope they get some recognition for their great customer service!“

“One of the very few Dunkins that get your order correct“

“Same menu as any other Starbucks. If you go here in between classes good luck getting your coffee quickly. Sometimes the lines back up to a 15 minute wait at least if it's before or after a class. Theres pretty much no like of you go during class though. No one really talks to you while you stand in line and the Staff Is usually just busy making orders. They work well under pressure though.“

I witnessed his remarkable patience and empathy as he assisted a non-English speaking customer in selecting a dozen donuts, taking the time to guide her through the options to ensure she was satisfied. “I’m a big fan of bubble tea. I love the Thai milk tea with bubbles. It tastes amazing. I keep going there very often. The store is clean and neat. It can easily accommodate 20 people. Service time is quick, you should get your order within 5min. I felt the bubbles added was very less for a large serving. Parking could be an issue. You will have to find a street parking, which could be challenging over the weekends. Staff is friendly.“
