“Went for lunch because I wanted wings. They were fresh, cooked perfectly and well sauced. Classic buffalo flavor. My coworkers both had the grill chicken sandwich and both gave a resounding thumbs up. I feel like this place would be a good hang at night.“

“Harrington’s Pub is an awesome place to relax and enjoy great food and drinks! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff is super friendly, and the service is always top-notch. Their menu has something for everyone, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Definitely one of the best pubs around — highly recommend.“
“In a town of witch kitsch, Trade House is a breath of fresh air. The decor doesn't scream as much maritime and mercantile history as I hoped but the atmosphere and the menu certainly make up for it. Highly recommend the Jumbo Crab Cake as a starter. This is a golden seared, griddled crab cake bursting with sweet, succulent crab meat and fresh vegetables. Served with a zesty New Orleans remoulade that packs a Southern kick and a petite salad for a crisp, refreshing balance. And their chef's *really shine with their specials. That's where I recommend the Surf and Turf Dog. And this isn’t your average frank. It’s a jumbo all beef masterpiece stacked with crispy, golden fried Essex clams, drizzled in house made tartar and a splash of tangy cocktail sauce, all nestled in a warm, buttery brioche bun. Served with kettle chips and crunchy pickles for the perfect crunch. It’s land and sea, comfort and adventure all in one unforgettable bite. There is literally nothing in Salem like this. And lastly, their drinks....oh my gods, their drinks. I had the "Trade Secret". Bold, smooth whiskey takes the lead in this mysterious and refined cocktail, delivering rich warmth with every sip. It’s expertly layered with the bittersweet depth of amaro, brightened by fresh orange, cherry, and a twist of lime. The result? A bold yet balanced drink with a touch of intrigue. It's strong, citrusy, and just sweet enough to keep you coming back for the next secret. Tourists and locals, check this new place out. Such a breath of fresh air and down the street from Derby Wharf.“

“Go on Karoke night. The is a woman who sings “green eyes lady” that blew me away.
Reminded me of the Hideout in Chicago and that bar in Starwars.
Great spot, great sign, great talent behind the stick.“

“My wife and I were in Boston for 3 days this weekend , and we found this place on our second stop. As soon as we walked in there, we felt the amazing atmosphere of all the people around. We also met some amazing people who we invited to sit with us because the place was a 100% full. They happen to be from Australia, even though the guy was originally from Boston. We had an amazing dinner and appetizers on the first night there. And then the next day we came back for lunch and had an amazing bartender named Ro. And if that wasn't enough, we came back Sunday morning for breakfast. as far as I can see, this is the only place to go if you are in downtown Boston, hands down. We also loved the live music. “If I could give 10 stars for customer service, I would! Matt and Kevin (Bakes) are fantastic bartenders. Bakes, especially, was professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He knew the customers by name and they knew him. This superior service made overpriced hotel food worth it, lol. Also, the cobb salad with salmon was divine!“

“We were looking for a place to watch the Lions game while in town visiting Salem. This bar was recommended to us by someone we met in Gloucester. The bar's atmosphere small, well put together, clean and welcoming Irish pub. We met the owner who made us feel like we were long lost friends. Service was attentive and consistent. We went back 2 nights in a row. Thank you, to the staff and Kieran for being great! Definitely recommend checking this place out while in town.“

“Came by on Father's Day for a mid afternoon lunch with my son & 2 grandsons after a couple hours ( 3 strings), of highly competitive, and hard fought candlepin bowling at Sunnyside Lanes in Danvers, service was prompt& attentive, the food done right, fresh, & tasty, and the price was fair and in line with today's dining out financial issues, everything was eaten -up, even the boys( ages 8+10, who can be a little fussy sometimes, ate a little more than half their portions until they were full and then both requested doggie bags so they could have it later at home, which they usually don't do. We just walked in hoping it wasn't too crowded, cause we didn't even try reservations, not too crowded at all, a few folks sitting at the bar watching Sox, and about half the booths taken, not loud at all, had easy to hear conversations, and just a positive experience, we'll be back.“

“I just want to thank the entire staff for how nice they were last night. We took my autistic grandson for dinner and everyone made us feel so comfortable. They helped us abruptly do a table change to a quieter table where he couldn’t throw the booster seat! My grandson feeds off of the energy around him and you could tell the staff was so kind that it made him settle down. The dinner was delicious and a success! Thank you so much!!!!“

“Walker Memorial, constructed in 1916, is one of the early and most iconic buildings on MIT’s Cambridge campus, built in honor of former MIT President Francis A. Walker and designed in a classic neoclassical style that gives it a timeless presence along Memorial Drive.
Normally, students find themselves here for a few classic MIT-only reasons:
1. Midterm and final exams at Walker Gym on the 3rd floor — a rite of passage for large classes and a great vantage point for people-watching when you finish early.
2. Events in the grand spaces like Morss Hall on the 1st floor — where lectures, mixers, cultural celebrations, and student group showcases bring the building to life.
3. The beloved Muddy Charles Pub tucked into the 1st-floor corner closer to the river — an unbeatable spot to unwind after problem sets, especially with a view of the Charles.
There are no restrooms on the first floor, they’re in the basement and up on the third, so plan your coffee breaks accordingly. But part of the fun of Walker is discovering its quirks: climbing up staircases past banners, finding that secret meeting room tucked away on 3F, or just lingering in the main entry hall framed by tall murals.
If you’ve got the luxury of a spare afternoon and no pressing psets, Walker Memorial isn’t just a building — it’s a place to explore. Between the echoes of conversation in its high ceilings, the student radio station humming in the basement, and the corner pub views over the river, it captures a bit of MIT’s community spirit like no other spot on campus.“
“Great local spot with a genuinely welcoming vibe. The pizza was excellent, well-made with a great crust and quality topping, but where Woody's really shines is the cocktails, easily some of the best I've had. Perfectly balanced, well-crafted, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. Pair that with attentive, friendly service and a comfortable, easygoing atmosphere, and it's the kind of place you settle into for another round. Highly recommend for a relaxed pub with great pizza, standout drinks, and even better company. Will definitely be back.“

“Perfect little spot to go after the aquarium. In walking distance. My fiance and our little birthday girl came in from Wareham today. The birthday girl was fussy at first. But our server was fantastic. We sat outside. Beautiful little spot. Food was good. Service was quick. Prices were typical for the city area. And the server gave our birthday girl a miniature yellow rubber ducky which cheered her up quick 😊 Thanks for a lovely lunch Granary Tavern!!“

“Best hostel I’ve been to. Everyone else leaving negative comments needs to remember that this is a budget hostel, not a hotel! I paid $60/night to stay in an all female room: 6 beds (3 bunk beds), only the women staying in my room have the security key card to get in, the room has its own bathroom, shower, fridge/freezer, counter, closet, and small lockers, there’s housekeeping that comes in between check in/out. They even have free coffee/tea and bread with butter, peanut butter, jelly in the mornings available until noon. The whole place is clean, quiet, and decked out with Beatles memorabilia. There is understandably not always staff at the front desk, but I’ve been able to talk to someone when I need to and everyone has been very very kind.
All in all, I paid $60/night and I felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Boston.“
