“Yard House in Lynnfield did not disappoint! First, you can put your name on a wait list online. Second, the hostess was very friendly. Third, our waiter, Justin was very attentive, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. We couldn’t choose between two appetizers, so we took Justin’s suggestion and ordered the fried calamari. A good portion for two people. I wanted a cider, so I got the locally brewed cider. Very refreshing on a humid night. I wanted to get one to go, but Justin said that wasn’t possible (I knew I couldn’t but I was hopeful). Fourth, THE FOOD! The presentation was great! The chicken club sandwich was ample. My husband usually doesn’t get sandwiches for dinner, and he was pleased with his decision.I ordered the “small” kobb salad with grilled chicken. Again, the presentation was amazing! All the veggies were grouped. Carrots, radishes, edamame, hard boiled egg and avocado in nice sections. The chicken was grilled, tender, and juicy. My only critique is that it was too big! Maybe offer a “mini” option??“

“Came in for happy hour and enjoyed 2 dozen oysters. They were good, but we’d just come from PEI/Nova Scotia and these didn’t quite compare, but for the $1/oyster price, we were still pleased. We also ordered the shrimp potstickers which were okay. Kind of tasted like a frozen app heated. However the crab cake sliders (came with 2) were nearly full size and super delicious! The bar service was a little inattentive given that we came in during a slower time. Overall, a great stop on our road trip.“

“We stumbled upon Half & Half while searching for a place to get breakfast and stopped in with our 2 yo. Very cute interior with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). We will definitely be back for lunch — and more butter.“

Disco egg & cheese: one of the best egg & cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Perfect little focaccia loaf, egg yolk that's soft but not runny, and some good cheddar. Pickled carrots are the cherry on top.

Earl gray scone: you can taste the earl gray throughout, nice thin but brown crust, soft inside. Perfect scone.

Cornbread muffin: Great cornbread with a nice bit of kosher salt on the top. Good top to bottom. My 13 year old ate it in no time.

House-made cardamom soda: Delicious! was gone in no time.

I came across Nine Elm and read the reviews. They were amazing. So we made a reservation but I was still cautiously optimistic. Things could not have gone better! We arrived and where we were seated was noising, not what we wanted for an anniversary dinner. When I asked the waitress if there was a quieter spot she went to speak to the manager in we were moved immediately. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly but professional. The wine was lovely and the food delicious. We ordered the duck and the swordfish special and they were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we split a Creme Brule. The custard was light and creamy a pleasant surprise. We had an amazing time. We will be back!“

“We recently had an event at Mothership and it was great! Kelly and her team helped get everything organized and answered my million questions in the weeks leading up to it. On the day of our event, the guests kept complimenting the food and telling us it was the best party ever. The staff setup decorations, made a candy bar, made custom menu items and cocktails for us, coordinated with our outside vendors, and kept everything running smoothly. Highly recommend!“
