“My husband and I went to Crossroads last night on the spur of the moment - we were pleasantly surprised with everything!! Great vibe / casual and relaxing with great TV set ups at the bar so we could keep an eye on the Celtics game… great cocktails, food was fresh and delicious with a unique flair that the chef creates to show his wide range of training and influences! I love that he personally came out to chat with us after we finished eating. What a wonderful local business that I am happy to support! Can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing offerings! (My husband is vegetarian and he found plenty of options to try!)“

“We stumbled upon Half & Half while searching for a place to get breakfast and stopped in with our 2 yo. Very cute interior with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). We will definitely be back for lunch — and more butter.“

“I’ve been to Wakefield Roast Beef & Seafood a few times now, and it’s consistently been a great experience. The portion sizes are definitely one of the highlights—you get a generous amount of food for your money, and you never leave feeling like you didn’t get enough. The roast beef is especially good, with tender, flavorful meat and plenty of it.

Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, well prepared, and satisfying. The seafood is also a great choice, and there’s a nice variety on the menu whether you’re in the mood for a hearty roast beef sandwich or something from the seafood side. The portions make it a great spot when you’re really hungry or looking for a meal that will leave you with enough to take home.

We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! I came across Nine Elm and read the reviews. They were amazing. So we made a reservation but I was still cautiously optimistic. Things could not have gone better! We arrived and where we were seated was noising, not what we wanted for an anniversary dinner. When I asked the waitress if there was a quieter spot she went to speak to the manager in we were moved immediately. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly but professional. The wine was lovely and the food delicious. We ordered the duck and the swordfish special and they were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we split a Creme Brule. The custard was light and creamy a pleasant surprise. We came on a Saturday night around 10pm and it was bumping with a dj and a lively crowd.

Drinks were good and food was okay which is fine. We were going more for the drinks anyways.

We did run into a little bit of a pickle where I was charged twice a different amount (I get it. Mistakes happen!) and the manager Chris was awesome and remedied the problem quickly.

“My hubby is the manager at Antons cleaners next door to liberty and when I come in with him on early days etc etc, I always- I mean ALWAYS people!- get us liberty bell for lunch. It’s the best roast beef sandwich you can find and it’s consistently made the same way so you can expect that high quality with every order honestly. Their online ordering is smooth and simple and they’re super safe upon pickup and following any and every Covid precaution there is!
