“This was the worst experience we have ever had at this restaurant. We had reserved a round table at the back of the restaurant, which they gave to some other party just before we got there. They sat us at a long table next to the table I had reserved. The noise level was awful, we couldn't hear each other talk, as the people at the round table were so loud. Also the waitress had an attitude and did not bring us drinks when we asked for them. She never checked with us about anything we needed. The food was great as usual. But because of the issues with our reservation, we will NEVER go here again. We have always used this location before as we go there many times a year, but never again.“

“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“Been going here since the late 70’s. One of the best roast beef seafood restaurants on the north shore. I moved from Peabody to Florida in 2018 and wish we had a roast beef seafood place that was even half as good. I still visit Peabody once a year and this is always on my list of places to go. Food is still great. Yes it may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I think they are fair, everywhere prices have increased, I would rather pay a little more and keep the quality. Love this place.“

“I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“We were greeted as we arrived and seated immediately at a table that had open tables next to us. Seating was nicely spaced out. Frankie was our server and she was perfect. Not hovering, but there whenever you needed anything. I had the best tasting espresso martini I have ever had to start. My choices were a cup of chowder followed by grilled swordfish with butter lemon sauce and crispy capers. My sides were steamed broccoli and whipped potatoes. The chowder was very tasty and not too thick or too thin. There was a nice balance between clams and potatoes. The swordfish was perfect, wow! The portion was large enough for two people, and I took leftovers home for dinner the next day. The sides were good, the broccoli was still crisp and a good pairing with fish. Whipped potatoes were smooth and had the right texture and they were delightful. I enjoy mashed potatoes and my favorites had little lumps in them but the whipped potatoes were so tasty that I loved them. No dessert was necessary, but it was a lovely Christmas dinner. Thanks to Frankie, all needs were met and she was really kind.“

Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! “We had a reservation for12 for a family gathering. We were seated on time and the food and atmosphere were excellent. Only complaint is that the service was slow and inconsistent. We had been seated for more than 10 minutes before a server came over to take drink orders. They came back to take food orders 30 minutes later. Waitstaff failed to follow through on a couple of requests and had to be reminded.“

“I went to Grassfields Food & Spirits for the first time yesterday for lunch. I had my 6 year old daughter and 1 year old son with me. By gods grace my kids have always been easy to take to dinner without stress, however yesterday my son wasn’t particularly feeling the best because he is cutting a new tooth so he was screaming his head off (on and off) and my daughter accidentally leaned too hard on one side of the table which flipped up the opposite end and my entire, full, iced tea fell and spilled all over the floor. I must give a shout out to the staff there for being so kind and handling the situation with empathy and respect. If I could have anticipated that the kids wouldn’t do well at the restaurant I would have opted for lunch to go (which is what I ended up doing anyway after all that). The waitresses did not give me an attitude or dirty looks or get upset, instead they offered to clean up the mess for me and get me a new iced tea. It may seem like a small gesture but it didn’t go unnoticed because not everyone is as kind, understanding and patient. It’s proven in the death stare I did get from another diner lol. I also must mention that when we finally got home and ate the food was fantastic! The kids teriyaki chicken and rice pilaf was the best! My scallops Florentine was delicious too! I will be back for sure… maybe without the kids next time lol.“

It’s the best roast beef sandwich you can find and it’s consistently made the same way so you can expect that high quality with every order honestly. Their online ordering is smooth and simple and they’re super safe upon pickup and following any and every Covid precaution there is!
