“Hiring Capers for our wedding was the best decision we’ve ever made! The people were great, and the food and drinks were out of this world. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. “Why does Mary have so few reviews?? She's INCREDIBLE. She was our wedding venue's recommended caterer and she did not disappoint. EVERYONE complimented the food. She worked with my fiancé and I to create a complex customized wedding buffet menu - we needed a gluten free table and a separate dairy free table, we wanted our wedding to be a formal tea party and needed all the food to match that theme, etc. She was great about staying in contact and immediately replying whenever I had a question; she also brought a bride platter for me while I was getting ready (she was right - the bride doesn't have time to eat!) that had deviled eggs, which weren't even part of our menu but she remembered me saying I loved so she made them for me. “We truly cannot say enough good things about this catering team. From start to finish, they were incredibly flexible, responsive, and genuinely wonderful to work with — which alone would’ve made them a great choice. But the food? Unreal.

We chose to do family-style service, which is more unique and definitely not the easiest format — and they absolutely crushed it. Everything came out hot, perfectly timed, and beautifully presented, all while keeping the flow of the night seamless.

Never in my life have I been to a wedding and left talking about the food… and yet almost six months later, it is still the first thing people bring up when they talk about our wedding. The lobster rolls, the sliders, the mashed potatoes, the meats — every single bite was outstanding. Nothing felt like “typical wedding food.” It was genuinely so delicious! We also opted to do an ice cream sundae bar for dessert and it was the perfect summer wedding treat!

There are so many dining choices in Salem, and we return here time after time. Classic Italian with some interesting additions mixed in, like the Chicken Miguel. “Always a favorite, grew up with the chateau. Waltham was the original, and now the Woburn location is incredibly convenient when I stay.
The sesame bread at the beginning is iconic. It's soft bread, not a crunchy outer layer. But it is perfect.
The chicken parm is difficult to beat anywhere, are one of the originated of the fried ravioli, very old school.
The service though, for some reason is very distant. Especially when sitting at the bar.
I'm basing that on my experience, not the overall team there.
At lunch time, the bartender is eating lunch at a table, very difficult to get anything when she was on her phone and eating at a table during lunch.
