“Just came from lunch and it was amazing. First of all, you can't beat the lunch special price, which includes an appetizer. The tikka masala was superb. The chicken curry was also fantastic. For appetizers we got the onion bhaji (delicious) and chicken pakora (also good). And, of course, the garlic naan was out of this world. If you're looking for a tremendously great meal for terrific value, you can't beat this awesome restaurant. The service is great, atmosphere is very relaxed, and the food is wonderful. “We went to cook on a Sunday for brunch on a table of 5 with 3 kids. Our server was Johnny who not only had everything on point but did absolutely everything to make sure we felt welcome, the kids were entertained (with extra drawings and crayons requests) and all that while he was training another server.

The food was really good (so much so that we plan to come back soon), we had draft and cocktails and we just didn’t try dessert, but the ambiance was nice, wasn’t too full and is definitely a great location to come back to.“

“My husband and I went here today and had amazing ramen! I got the Tonkatsu hellfire ramen, level 1 spicy. The flavor was amazing and the spice level was perfect. I want to go back to try the next level of spice! Also the taro milk tea was delicious.“

What stood out the most, was that every team member I encountered was so friendly, helpful and professional. The lovely young, great energy woman who took my order named Izzy (sp?) was very helpful when I was deciding what to order.

The Food:
There are many items to choose from Pressed's expansive and interesting menu. Our food and everything else I saw looked fresh and delicious. It really can suit most anyone's taste and dietary needs. I pretty much eat anything, but my friend is dairy and gluten free. There were so many options for her.

The portions are LARGE! I definitely could have turned my brunch into two meals.

Pricing:
The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the large portions, freshness and quality of their food.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere at Pressed is lively, upbeat, clean, comfortable and modern. There is a lot of seating (counters and tables) inside and a lovely outdoor area for the good weather.

Location:
The location is great because it's on a main street with everything from clothing, to sporting goods, home design, food markets and more. You could spend a whole day in this neighborhood.

Pro-tip: It's a great menu, so I recommend taking your time to see all they have to offer - including their ready-made food and beverages. I also recommend ordering a few different plates, baked goods, etc., so you can get a real feel for it.

Overall Impression:
I've been to almost every restaurant around Newton, and I believe Pressed Cafe is the best all-around casual dining in Newton for food, atmosphere and service.“

Subs are excellent, and the pasta dinners could potentially feed two. The entire menu is a gastronomical dream come true for this type of fare! I can wholeheartedly recommend the fried haddock with extra crispy fries or the grilled steak and chicken combo with crispy fries plus a side of their tasty rice! Prices can be a little more than pre-covid days but honestly, for the quality of the food and the speed of service I have no problem paying a little more, besides, we get to support a local business and that I believe is important during these trying times!
