“Normally I’m a traditional Pad Thai or Pad See Ew but I branched out to try the Panang Curry. It was SO GOOD! Definitely reccomend. My table got Pad Thai, Basil Rice and the See Ew and they thought it was great as well! Server was super accommodating and attentive.“

The pork chop with the balsamic reduction and mashed sweet potato is a must have and if in the mood to splurge- the filet mignon with the lobster stuffed mushroom is a perfect entree. The food was excellent, however, the wonderful staff and Chef Rich really made the dining experience feel as if you were at a family member's home for supper! This is a must try in the North End!“

“My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. We enjoyed it some much we came back this morning. This is the place to come to a good meal and pleasant experience to start your day. Come to Dotty and Rays!“

Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. “Went to get lunch when we got to Boston. Was close by our hotel and I love craft beer so was excited to try something local. Split the burger for lunch which was excellent. Tried three different beers and enjoyed each one. They didn’t do flights but do offer small pours so it made it easy to try different brews.

Venue was nice as well and easy to get to in the Seaport area.“

If you are looking for a place to propose to your significant other… this is NOT the appropriate place. As I mentioned the food was the finest I’ve ever had; however, the music was terrible. We felt like we were in a 1990’s discotheque. The music was loud, very heavy beat and not remotely romantic. We did mention to our waitstaff and they attempted to get it turned down to no avail. No coffee or dessert available either. I understand space is limited; however you have two of the finest dessert businesses well within walking distance. Even if you only carry two desserts. I would still go back there for the food with the hopes of different music…even soft jazz would be acceptable.“
