“Little Spoon is a Thai restaurant tucked into a corner of Main Street in Needham with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle into for a relaxed dinner. The space has a cute, unique quality to it and the menu covers a wide range of Thai dishes including ramen, curries, noodles, and rice dishes, which gives a table with different preferences plenty of directions to go.

The pad see ew and basil fried rice are both solid orders that cover familiar ground competently. The noodles on the pad see ew have decent wok character and the basil fried rice is well seasoned and aromatic, though neither dish pushed beyond what you would expect from a good neighborhood Thai spot. The mango sticky rice is a satisfying finish and the sticky rice texture is on point, though the mango itself can vary depending on the season. The Thai tea is well made and a natural complement to the spicier dishes on the table.

Across everything we ordered the food was consistently good without being particularly memorable, landing in that comfortable range where you leave satisfied but not necessarily thinking about it the next day. For a weeknight dinner close to home it works well and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. The menu is large enough that there is probably a higher ceiling to explore on return visits with some of the more distinctive options like the khao soi, tamarind wings, or crispy duck.

Service and pickup accuracy have been inconsistent based on different visits, so dining in tends to produce a smoother experience than ordering out. As a neighborhood Thai option in Needham it fills the gap well enough.“

“Came early on a Monday, shortly after opening. Greeted promptly, sat immediately, food came out within minutes. Coffee was good, shumai were great, and really enjoyed the broth in the soup. Looking forward to trying some other things in the future!“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

The chicken pad Thai, seafood drunken noodles, red curry, and so many things are UNMATCHED. The service is always quick and extremely friendly.

The food is an incredible blend of Thai and Italian flavors, with every dish feeling authentic and perfectly balanced. “It was worth the drive to this little gem. We did the omakase dinner which was a 10 course meal, that was presented very beautifully. Each dish was very flavorful and delicious. Both chefs were very sweet and made sure it was not too spicy and if everything was ok. Thai omakase was definitely an experience and was affordable compared to other omakase experience. “This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“
