“So I noticed that Newton has a restaurant called Coconut Cafe, and I thought it would be funny to get a picture of a Lime Bike inside the front door, because “you put the Lime in the Coconut” and all that, so I went over there today, and the place turns out to be pretty nice and I was already feeling like this wouldn’t be a particularly polite (or funny) joke, but anyway the closest Lime Bike I could find was about a block away, and when I tried picking it up to bring it over to Coconut Cafe to maybe get a “put the lime *by* the coconut” photo instead, the bike started talking to me, saying “PLEASE PAY ME A DOLLAR AND YOU CAN RIDE ME! PLEASE PUT ME DOWN OR I WILL CALL THE POLICE! THIS IS YOUR SECOND WARNING, I AM ABOUT TO CALL THE POLICE.” and I decided that this stupid joke wasn’t worth getting arrested for and at that point I was too annoyed to pay the dollar to unlock the bike to ride it a grand total of about 30 feet for a joke photo that the owner of the shop would justifiably get mad at me for anyway, so I left the bike there and just had lunch instead (Bangkok-style veggie pad thai, they told me it would take 15 minutes but then it was ready in about 1.5 minutes, so that was nice) and it was delicious. “Service was quick and effecient. Wait staff gave me a great recommendation for lunch. The short rib curry was delicious; came with rice. Dining area was small, but single seats long the window were open. Price for the entree was $22, but short ribs don't come cheap. The meat fell off the bones, and it made a tasty curry! There were also peas and peppers in the curry. Spice level was perfect, big flavor, not heat.“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

The staff are constantly checking in on you and making sure your water is always topped off. The decor is stunning—modern, sleek, with gold accents that give it a touch of luxury. Even the bathroom is pristine, with fancy toilets, automated trash cans, soap dispensers, and even high-end toilet paper—it’s clear they pay attention to every detail! The food was amazing. We tried the hot stone wagyu dish, the Khao Soi, the tiger shrimp pad thai, and the ribeye in curry. Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The only slight drawback was the timing, as three dishes came out together and the last arrived about 10 minutes later, but the quality more than made up for it. The cocktails were a highlight—creative, strong, and perfectly crafted. The vibe in the restaurant is fantastic, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend checking Thaiger Den out—you won’t be disappointed!“

“I stopped in here while traveling. Wow, I happened upon a great spot! The place was packed when I walked in around 6pm. People were frequently in and out grabbing to go orders. I knew I must be at a good restaurant and boy was I right! I sat at the bar that was well stocked, unfortunately I couldn't drink this night. I ordered green chicken curry and went to the bathroom, by the time I got back it was sitting on the bar already. I couldn't believe how fast they were. The food was great and staff was friendly. Most restaurants could learn from these folks.“

“I HAD to write a review.. it's SO GOOD!!! I ordered off of Doordash because I haven't seen it before and saw the good reviews and noticed some very authentic recipes on the menu and decided to give it a try.

No regrets, the Bai Toey drink brings me back to my childhood with the wonderful pandan flavor and tastes so refreshing as a tea. The Tom Yum Sukhothai was phenomenal, the broth was as balanced as my Yah's broth which really takes me back, too.

I definitely want to try the chicken claw soup next time, since they definitely didn't disappoint with the classic tom yum!“

“I've not had Thai food much but decided to try Eggs and Thai with my family. It was the most delicious food I've ever had. The flavors were amazing. The variety on the menu was great too. “I don't write many reviews. For me to write a review a restaurant has to be either really bad and amazingly good. Sugar and spice is amazingly good Thai food! My wife says it was the best pad thai she's ever had. My son had the tamarind duck, which I sampled, and I had the kanom jean nam ngaio (see pics). Both were sooo good. Service was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!“

“Best grilled chicken and rice combo, very generous portions of rice and chicken with good soup. I can highly recommend this. Do not get any wings from them. And make sure you confirm your order with the staff, they sometimes make mistakes. I tried the sticky wings and it wasn't fully coated with sauce, there was some blood veins in the chicken and I'm sad to say I found a short hair in one of my pieces. As the staff had to redo my wings order bc she mistook my order to her recommendation of chicken skins, I didn't want to complain. Needless to say, I won't be returning bc of hygiene and service. I love Thai food and really wanted to support them.“

“What a soup indeed! The broth in the boat noodles is so flavorful and hearty. The spice level of hot is perfect for me who likes a good amount of heat. Prices are very reasonable for the big portion you get with lots of meat and noodles. Haven't eaten in, so I can't rate service and atmosphere, but I will dine in sometime soon.

Only issue is I haven't received tendon in my beef and tendon noodles twice. May be an issue with the ordering method because both times were through Doordash. “Somtum is my family's favorite place for takeout when we want to treat ourselves. My husband and I went to Thailand on our honeymoon, and every time we order from here, it takes us back. He's a regular with green curry or drunken noodles. I love the Tom Kha coconut soup and the Larb salad. My kids don't like spice but they love the crispy pad thai. Don't sleep on the Thai iced tea- it should come with a warning label, because it's addictive.“

“Thai Thani is hands down the best local Thai restaurant in the Norwood area. I've tried other Thai restaurants close by, and Thai Thani is the definitely the best! Their portion sizes are extremely generous and the food is always hot and fresh. The lunch specials are great and anytime I've gotten dinner from there, I always have plenty of leftovers for the next day. The owners are great and are fantastic chefs! My go to is the Tofu Massaman Curry, but their Pad Thai is amazing too! I would highly recommend Thai Thani to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine. You will not be disappointed!“

The Japanese dishes are pricey.
The place gets packed at night especially the weekends. Inside is a bit too tight with not enough room to move at times. It’s relatively too small.
Either remove tables & chairs or get another place. It does get noisy when there’s lot of people considering how packed it gets at times.
Service was acceptable though it needs more staffers.
Difficult to find street parking.
Clean shared bathrooms.“

“I’ve lived in Thailand for 3 years (Huai-Kwang) and I can confidentially say this restaurant resembles the closest tastes to the food I’ve eaten during my time there.

I have tried at least 15 different Thai places in Boston and I will say - this is the best.

The flavors are as close to Thailand as you can get, which I never thought could be replicated here. It took me back for a minute lol.

I will still have to try some dishes, like som tam, to see if it has that taste I’m used to… or if it’s lacking dried shrimp.

This location is also significantly better and more authentic than the other Laughing Monk locations.“
