Every time I have called the person who answered my call was able to answer my questions quickly and politely. I appreciate the efficient service as that seems to be a rarity these days. “Very beautiful store. The young woman helping me was so nice. She was so helpful in explaining the traditional Greek, Turkish, and Albanian foods. The store was put together very nice. Everything was neat and orderly. There are tables right near the windows which adds the whole atmosphere. You can sit in and relax. Have a pastry and some coffee and take it all in. I recommend the Byrek or spinach pie.Everything looked so good. They have traditional Greek Baklava. They have homemade Tzatziki . I bought a spinach pie and a lemon tart square. I recommend that everyone at least go in but be prepared to leave with no money. I cannot wait to go back and buy some Baklava and some homemade Tzatziki. There are also frozen pasta’s. Dry goods. Cheese. Pretty much you will find something good around every corner. Eva’s was recommended to me by an Albanian girl i work with. So i trust her word. Eva’s is along the lines of the food she is used to. She says to me i want to tell everyone to go to Eva’s. So that was all i needed to hear. Glad i listened.

Colette Bakery in Melrose has some of the best pastries around! I’m a sucker for chocolate croissants, and the Cho-colette croissant at Colette is so delicious (pro tip, take the croissant home and toss in the air fryer to warm the pastry!)

“A&J King have been selling excellent traditional french bakery items for years now and have become a local institution. Over time, they've slowly been adding more vegan options to the menu. Vegan muffins, cheese, and cream cheese are available daily. They also sometimes have vegan cake, sandwich, and soup specials. There's at least one vegan employee that I know of and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Plus, there's excellent coffee from local favorite roaster, Coffee by Design.“

““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.“

“Went here for some snacks during my visit. Not a huge selection on the baked goods but good enough variety that it didn't bother me. I went here because it was a gluten free option and I need that for my allergies. I had a red velet cupcake, and a sweet heavy cake plus a fruity pebbles rice crispy treat my husband had a cookie but he didn't care for it but I loved everything I had! He did loved my fruity pebbles treat! It looks so clean in here and the service was nice the guy at the register was fast and pleasent! Even the french fries we got were fantastic! The gentleman who helped us (I'm guessing it was one of the owners) was so incredibly friendly, he definitely made two more local customers! She then made matching cupcakes with sugar guitars. They were a huge hit! The night before, Patty made a cake for my son and my nephew highlighting their High School and their future colleges of URI and IU. It was very special and again a huge hit with everyone.
