Everything the chef touches (possibly even looks at) is amazing. Much like Britain itself, the BBC Plymouth remains a small but lovely place to visit, partake in a bevy of local and global beverages, and engage in some traditional games and revelry on the second floor. On the last night I was there, Jenga was a particularly popular pastime, as were darts.“

“I visited as a stranger for the first time and it was very refreshing to be around such friendly and polite regulars. Connie was excellent behind the bar and the kitchen staff prepared a feast of a Fish sandwich (off menu) weighing in over 2lbs, tots and fries included. The price for food and fun was also refreshingly reasonable and I had a great early evening.

“Great historical tavern, it was nice to be a part of this history. We didn’t eat, but every person that walked out the door talked about how delicious their food was. The Barmaid was very friendly and attentive. The cocktail menu was extensive and again the Barmaid said that if it wasn’t on the menu, she could probably make it if we asked. “We had a 80th birthday celebration in the private dining room on a busy Saturday night. 71 could not have been better! The food was fantastic for all guests. A lot of the salmon dish and filets were all cooked to perfection. Cynthia the server was knowledgeable and professional. She expertly handled questions regarding allergies and gluten free items. The room was beautiful and we were able to bring in decor and a video slideshow. Highly recommend!!!“

“By far my favorite place for sushi. Highly recommend Pink Lady and Lightning makimono. Also, one of the only places where I've actually seen anything on the menu with steamed buns. I LOVE the Charshu Pork Buns. Hibachi is always fun with a group of friends or family.“
