“There was a miscommunication about the bakery's hours, and I genuinely thought we were going to be without our Easter order. But Emily, the manager, and her father John, the owner, did something I truly didn't expect — they made it work anyway. They went out of their way to make sure we still got everything we needed, and on Easter Sunday of all days. That kind of customer care is rare. It would have been so easy for them to simply say "sorry, we're closed" — but instead they showed up for us in a way we won't forget. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Our pies were fresh and perfectly made, and the carrot birthday cake — a special request from the birthday boy himself — was absolutely stunning. Everything tasted like it was baked with real love and care, and it made our Easter celebration (and birthday!) that much more special. If you're looking for a bakery that not only delivers incredible baked goods but also treats their customers like family, look no further. Emily and John, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. “Party Favors is a Brookline landmark and has been a go-to place for cakes for my family since I was a child. I just ordered a cake for my mother’s birthday from them and the online ordering process could not have been easier. The cake came out perfectly, was available at the pick up time requested and was customized for our needs. Prices are very fair and the cakes are delicious- my mother received another cake that was 3 times the price and she preferred the Party Favors cake. Highly recommended.“

“Toscanini's has been my favorite ice cream spot for over 20 years. Even as I've moved around and lived in other cities, I always make a point to visit whenever I'm back in the Boston area. But a recent experience cemented my loyalty for life.

On Presidents' Day, our family showed up around 5 pm, not realizing the shop was closed for the holiday. When we couldn't open the door, we started knocking, thinking it was just stuck. Gus, the owner, came out and let us know they were closed for the day, but then asked us what we were looking for. We told him we were hoping to grab a pint, and he told us to wait just a moment. A few minutes later, he came back with a big bag full of different pints and let us walk away with two of them, suggesting we could come back and pay another day when they were actually open (or perhaps he didn't care!). We came back and paid two weeks later.

“Walking into this shop is like entering a colorful world of pure happiness and sweet treats. I absolutely loved looking through all the creative and chunky flavors with those famous names, and getting a freshly made waffle cone made the whole place smell amazing. The ice cream is incredibly rich and creamy, and I really like that they care about using good ingredients and supporting local communities. It’s a fun, upbeat spot where the staff is always happy to let you try a few samples until you find your perfect scoop. Ben & Jerry’s is the best place to go when you want a treat that’s both delicious and full of personality.“

“After visiting museum of illusions with my dad and 2 year old son, was thinking of buying a treat or dinner. Passed by this place and we grabbed an ice cream each. My son knocked the ice cream on the floor and the girl who worked there grabbed us a new one. Great customer service with a 2 or three tables to sit at. “In reference to Ben and Gerry’s, located at the Prudential Center,, Boston, MA, a young employee named Maggie went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I took my children and grandson for ice cream on Thursday, July 17, in the afternoon.
Aside from Maggie’s professionalism and beautiful courtesy in serving us (often a rare combination in the service industry) I watched her deal with an incredibly rude customer with such graciousness and self control. The customer was completely out of line and I was so impressed with how Maggie de-escalated the situation and kept her professional composure, especially for such a young woman. Maggie is a credit to the company and I would highly recommend this establishment based on the character of this young woman. I hope she is recognized for her invaluable contribution to Ben and Gerry’s, Prudential Center, Boston.“
