But Emily, the manager, and her father John, the owner, did something I truly didn't expect — they made it work anyway. They went out of their way to make sure we still got everything we needed, and on Easter Sunday of all days. That kind of customer care is rare. It would have been so easy for them to simply say "sorry, we're closed" — but instead they showed up for us in a way we won't forget. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Our pies were fresh and perfectly made, and the carrot birthday cake — a special request from the birthday boy himself — was absolutely stunning. Everything tasted like it was baked with real love and care, and it made our Easter celebration (and birthday!) that much more special. “Toscanini's has been my favorite ice cream spot for over 20 years. Even as I've moved around and lived in other cities, I always make a point to visit whenever I'm back in the Boston area. But a recent experience cemented my loyalty for life.

On Presidents' Day, our family showed up around 5 pm, not realizing the shop was closed for the holiday. When we couldn't open the door, we started knocking, thinking it was just stuck. Gus, the owner, came out and let us know they were closed for the day, but then asked us what we were looking for. We told him we were hoping to grab a pint, and he told us to wait just a moment. A few minutes later, he came back with a big bag full of different pints and let us walk away with two of them, suggesting we could come back and pay another day when they were actually open (or perhaps he didn't care!). We came back and paid two weeks later.

“After visiting museum of illusions with my dad and 2 year old son, was thinking of buying a treat or dinner. Passed by this place and we grabbed an ice cream each. My son knocked the ice cream on the floor and the girl who worked there grabbed us a new one. Great customer service with a 2 or three tables to sit at. Not a lot of seating but great overall experience“

“The best empanadas. A good variety of empanadas and pastelitos. From chicken, ham and cheese, beef and cheese to vegetable. They are tasty, flaky, ample filling, and reasonably priced. Also comes with a dipping sauce. My kids and I enjoy them very much.

They also have a good selection of desserts. The service is quick and friendly. The place is clean and inviting.“
