“So glad we went here. Well rated for a reason.Fast, hot, delicious food and the price is right. Service is warm and authentic.Come here for breakfast if you want something filling and tasty. Thanks so much. Knocked it OUTTA THE PARK!Recommend the pastrami hash sub if you're super hungry.“
“Truly a neighborhood gem. I've lived around P&K for many years and I don't know why it've taken me so long to sing their praise. Perhaps I am being selfish and want the subs all for myself! =D For $12 bucks you've got a substantive, full-loaded sub and make one or two delicious meals out of it. While you wait, kibitz with your friendly neighbors, get a scratch-off, some chips, some sweets and a coffee. You will be not be disappointed.“
“Had a burger plate with fries and rings; delicious for a good price! No frills - it's a hole in the wall place - but good food made fresh to order with great service. The style that reminds me of some of the great small town burger joints I've had over the years - not the gastropubs and brewery/restaurants that seem to be way more common in Metro Boston. Bravo!“
“A hidden ?,In Boston.Eastie.Nicky, is very compassionate & goes above and beyond for his customers. One of the best Italian subs in Boston, He will even separate the vegetables oil So that way the subs don't get soggy upon request and will not hesitate to accommodate his customers. Please put Carmella's on your go to ✔️ list.“
“They have boars head so you already know you have quality stuff here! We all had the special Ruben which was so lean and moist and yummy! Actually I lied my dad had roast beef but we were all happy. This place is worth it. It was busy the whole time we were there, it's a hot spot for sure.“
“I moved to the area about six months ago and Meridian has been my go-to lunch place - I cannot recommend it enough. The food is incredible (especially the chicken caesar, Meridian special, meatballs and chicken limon) but literally everything I’ve tried is incredible. Very homey inside as well!“
“To be honest, I don't normally eat deli meat, but the pictures looked good, so I decided to check out Fresser's Delicatessen since I was in the area. There is a small parking lot out front and a few counter seats with a small area for ordering inside.I got a corned beef sandwich on marbled rye with Swiss cheese (I basically constructed a Reuben without realizing it) and a cinnamon pecan pastry. My total came out to be almost $20, which feels like a bit much for a sandwich, but I think it is on par with most other sandwich/deli shops nowadays, and the portion size could be enough for two meals depending on how much you normally eat. The corned beef was thinly sliced and very soft. It was also too salty for my liking, but I think corned beef is typically supposed to be saltier (again, I don't normally eat deli meat). As stuffed as the sandwich was, the sandwich did not fall apart when I ate it, which was great, and it tasted even better toasted. The cinnamon pecan pastry was a nice, little sweet to top off the meal. What really made my visit was how kind the people working there were, especially the lady who took my order. I can see this place being a local favorite; definitely had old time, mom-and-pop vibes.“
“Hands down the best Italian sub with everything on it!And their chicken fingers and fries aren't half bad either!Always accommodating and the food is fresh and so delicious ?It's kinda like being at Grandma's house is how the food tastes.I absolutely love this place.. and it doesn't hurt your wallet too much .And you can get gas and lottery..“
“I've been working on Wood rd for a few months and have been going to Wood Road Deli every day for lunch. Ive tried the whole menu and haven't been disappointed once. The chicken salad is the best I've ever had. The staff is very friendly. 5/5 I will be continuing to eat there every day.“
“just got a prosciutto de Parma here today and I have to tell you the service was some thing out of 19 7080s. Extremely respectful, extremely good-natured, professional beyond what you see today, and I know that's not saying much as the service industry has truly taken its fall. You could tell that the more mature woman that ran the show not with an iron fist but with respect to her employees. They smiled. They laughed. They look like they were having a great time. I haven't eaten my sandwich as of yet, but I wanted to get this down for the service along. You get a chance and you're starving you go there get the service and then eat it's remarkable beyond words!“
“Catering. Chicken parm, eggplant parm & raviolis were excellent. Got chicken florentine too, ehhh. Expected it to come like the parm.(same price) chicken topped w spinach & cheese & sauce. But it was all chopped up & loaded with ziti. It was mostly a pasta dish. The biggest offense w it for me was that it had red peppers in it. Yuck. My fault I guess cuz I assumed it would be like I have had everywhere else. Everything else I ordered was delicious & eaten. Only thing I took home was a full tray of of the Florentine which will go bad cuz I don't like peppers. Prices are good too.“
“Lovely store, with many Polish and European people, never ending good food, quite a selection of deli meats and cheese, and the vibe of the shop is nice. Stop in if in the region. The parking is horrible, but I will not lower the rating as it is not a option the owner can even change.Parking: Limited parking (roadside) on the street, in front of the store. Usually crowded and filled.“
“Huge, delicious sandwiches piled high with perfectly sliced Boar's Head meats. Quick, friendly staff and tons of parking. If you're a sandwich fan and can make it to the Canton-Stougton line before closing time, you should try A Cut Above.“
“I have never actually been inside this restaurant, but I did order a platter of wrap sandwiches to be delivered for a small luncheon. Everything went so smoothly, ordering was easy, the owners were very friendly, and delivery was exactly on time. Most importantly, the sandwiches were wonderful. And I was impressed that they thought of everything (plates, napkins, forks, salt & pepper). Very happy with the whole experience.“
“Great neighborhood deli. If you like deli it's definitely the place to go. I highly recommend it. Drove by it all the time and finally got a chance to stop in and check it out for an early lunch. Nothing like a 9am hot pastrami sandwich from On The Rye!“
“I ain't never been hea before but I can say this is the best sub I've had in boston, I always stop by the convenience next to this one but they didn't have that so I went to check it out, if you def lookin for good subs come here its good ash.“
“While visiting Boston I was looking for a good Italian sammie. After reading lots of reviews, I settled on Milano's and I'm glad I did! The staff was fantastic, as a chatty midwesterner I always want to talk, but the people of Boston do not. Once they found out I was from out of town they wanted to give me all the food advice, and were absolutely the sweetest. I had the Italian Grande, the Arancini, and a ricotta canoli. The sandwich was probably the best Italian sammie I've ever had, and I think my favorite meal in Boston overall. Just sad I didn't get to grab a sandwich on my way out of town.“
“I was in the mood for a sub, and saw this place on Uber Eats. I never heard of them before and they have an unclaimed yelp page with only a handful of reviews. I decided to risk it an order in Italian and a jar of stuffed hot peppers (I love these and usually get em at Roy's). The sub is great. The meat was good, the 'bread to stuff' ratio is ideal. It really hit the spot. A classic working-man's sandwich. Prices are reasonable too! Peppers are ace! It's hard to tell by the picture, but they really don't skimp out. They put a lot of peppers in this little jar. Happy customer here, would be delighted to order again.“
“Went here after checking in at our hotel, mainly stopped by because it was close by and we were starving. Didn't expect to walk in to an authentic grocery store and sub place. Tried the sub with chicken, coleslaw, tomatoes, can't remember what else was on it. Solid 8/10, good sub and huge portions def recommend for seaport area sandwiches! Also had seating in the back.“
“I picked up the haddock family fish fry Saturday night and I have to say it was probably the best fried haddock we’ve ever had. The batter had a slightly sweet flavor and the fish was so flaky, and cooked perfectly!! French fries were crispy and the coleslaw was amazing!! Definitely getting this again!“
“It’s like visiting Downtown Boston in the 1987. It is remarkable how much is the same from the service to the food to the reasonable prices. I like the Chicken Salad on a Billie with hots and lettuce. Throw some Lays potato chips onto the sandwich for the full experience.“
“Fun local deli right next to a fire station, so you know the food is legit.Staffs were friendly. Portions were large.Grown-up Grilled Cheese was delicious. The BBQ brisket were tender and melts in my mouth.Steaktip sub was huge, my friend couldn't even finish. Can't go wrong with steak tips plus peppers and onions.“
“Excellent spot to grab breakfast or coffee before you head on the Amtrak.- their omelettes are key, especially the meatlovers- sandwiches are great - had egg, ham, and sausage- limited on coffee selection (no espresso), but still greatFast service. Tons of construction workers getting their daily breakfast here.“
“Very friendly service. Pizza was more flavorful than the competing slices restaurant. It was a little greasy. Thats typically what i want though and thats how pizzas come out at virtually every pizza shop in ma. Slices seems to have intentionally made their pizza as light on the grease as possible and it sacrificed a little flavor. Its nice to have the option between both restaurants since they both have totally different styles of pizza, so you can choose on what youre in the mood for that day. I give both restaurants 5 stars. I mention slices because they are obviously in competition being so close to each other. The deli meat was a little higher quality here at grand slam but the presentation of the sub was a little nicer at slices. Overall, i say if you are working at the sites off dan road, you should rotate between these two restaurants and give them both your business.“
“Absolutely the best sandwich in the Boston area! Just finished a gigantic Italian sub with everything on it along with an amazing Roast Beef Stallion. Neither of us could finish it, they were so amazing. Also got a couple cupcakes for dessert and we are absolutely in heaven. Bill and his wife are the nicest people on the planet. The family has been managing that place for 60 years and it shows. Incredible experience. Thanks Bill and family! We will be back!“
