Place was fully booked someone from the bar area saw that we were going to leave to get cocktails elsewhere and return for dinner but brought us right over to the bar where three guests were just leaving. It was the perfect spot for me to connect with my twin sons who had just returned from their trip to Iceland ! “I don’t have too many steakhouse reviews but our experience at Mooo Seaport was outstanding. My wife and I, who live across town and don’t frequent Seaport, Ubered to Seaport last might for what turned into one of our best steak experiences in recent memory (yes it was that good).

We decided on the tuna tartare appetizer, followed by the Beef Wellington and cap steak (the latter, one of their specialties) and said we would be sharing everything. The tartare, a delicious combination of tuna, seaweed and a yummy sauce with seaweed and sesame oil flavor, was perfectly portioned on two separate plates for us, as was the Wellington, arguably the star of the evening (for my wife especially). Thin, crispy pastry surrounded the tenderloin and inside was an amazing duxelles with foie gras that topped the steak, served on a perfect red wine reduction.

However, for me, the cap steak was another level in terms of both richness and tenderness. Of course both steaks were cooked to a precise medium rare and paired perfectly with simple sea salt fries and a glass of CA cab.

Very solid beer and wine by the glass menus (and dirty martini loaded with blue cheese olives for my wife). Service was outstanding. In addition to everything being separated and perfectly presented, one of the servers from another table (Zach), whom we had known at the Capital Grille years ago, had recognized our name from the reservation list and came by to say hello! In addition, the manager came several times to make sure we had everything.

That level of detail, the “through the roof” level of the food and preparation, set Mooo above nearly every other Boston steakhouse, in the same conversation as Grille 23. Cheers, Mooo!“

“I went for a group holiday party with a set menu, but have a few allergies, so was very nervous to eat. However, the staff here was nothing but reassuring and accommodating. They communicated with us over the phone and when we got to the restaurant, they went above and beyond to describe my meal, their protocols, etc. The manager Adriana was extremely compassionate and knowledgeable and all of her staff was extremely professional. Food was very good as well, the warm bread and oil at the beginning was such a treat too!“

But we were seated in a booth which gave us some privacy. \n\nOur service was not really communicative, but effective and fast.\n\nOur food was great:\n- Instead of bread, popovers with butter were served. “We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!“

“My husband and I had reservations for 5:45 on NYE. It was incredibly busy in a “mostly controlled chaos” restaurant way. We were greeted warmly by the hostesses and told it might be a few extra minutes. We were seated 5 minutes later. Within minutes of sitting down we had bread, butter and drinks. V, our server, was spectacular. Truly. As someone who worked restaurants for years she's an MVP. She was given a 4 and 3 tables of 2 all at once. Usually it works- unless you're transferring tabs from the bar and have 2 additional high tops. V made it work in a way I couldn't have. The food came out perfectly paced, everything was cooked EXACTLY as we ordered it, and despite being completely overwhelmed (all the staff were) my husband and I had an incredible dining experience. We grabbed Scott the manager before we left to let him know how great V was and that we would back. He was kind, gracious and friendly in a way that is often missing from management in the restaurant industry these days. A 10 out of 10 dining experience all things considered. My husband and I love a really GREAT meal, but we return to great restaurants for the SERVICE. I always know I'm going to get a great meal at RC's- but the service is what makes it. The Ruth's C's in Waltham- we ask for Rodney, at the Somerville location- it will be V. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location for it's ease of parking, fantastic service (hostesses, food runners, servers, bartenders AND management) Thank you to ALL of the staff who were working so unbelievably hard under insanely busy conditions- your commitment to your customers and your jobs didn't go unnoticed. “We made a reservation for our anniversary while we were attending a conference in Boston. We were extremely impressed by the ambience of the restaurant and our table was right next to the window facing the harbor. We were a huge fan of that seating choice as well as the personal touch of a signed anniversary card, waiting on the table for us. Our server, Michael C., was extremely attentive and charismatic. We thoroughly enjoyed his humor and how eager he was to ensure we had a great visit. Rena, the bar manager, came over to personally discuss bourbon options based on our input. She knows her stuff, because she chose well and made a point to verify that. We are DEFINITELY coming back in the spring.“
