“I’ve been to plenty of Subways, but this one in Roslindale is hands down the best. All Subways are not created equal—and this location proves it.

Shoutout to Jay. One New Year’s Eve, I dropped $40 in the store. He found it, held onto it, and waited for me to come back so he could return it. That kind of honesty is rare and says everything about the people who run this place.

The staff is always friendly, respectful, and on point. You can genuinely feel the difference when you walk in. Great service, good energy, and people who actually care.

“Heard about this burger joint...AND I wasn't disappointed, in fact it will probably take me a few months to eat my way through their eclectic menu and no doubt I'll enjoy the ride. Burger was excellent, but the caveat was the cole slaw, NOT your store bought or KFC, this was truly a chef Michelin rated green/purple slaw with an incredible dressing. To top it off, you have to eat the fries.... I didn't ask, but they seemed to be riced then fried...5*****“

“Very flavorful sandwiches and salads. I had the chicken pita, my family members had the vege chikn hummus dip with pita, and the falafel sandwich. All of which were delicious and full of flavor. Very friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. Will definitely be back if I come back to Boston. Very small inside with only a couple tables so be mindful of party size if trying to sit. The to go boxes for the sandwiches were very convenient though!“

“My best friend introduced me to Flavor Boom, and I’m so glad they did! I visited their downtown Boston location and was really impressed. “My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.

Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“Whats in that seasoning you guys put on the fries.. its really great. I'd love to see these guys do well and grow into something much larger.. very friendly guys, the vibe of the place is great. I got 2 sliders with fries and I topped it with honey.. Definitely one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had.

They are incredibly generous (especially with the amount of meat for the Banh Mi) and it’s so delicious and fresh!! “I was going to every fast food place in a desperate search of a charging station. Stumbled across this restaurant and was relieved to find four charging stations near the window. Satisfied, I bought some tacos and churros. The prices were more than reasonable, most things almost unbelievably affordable. The staff was friendly and respectable. I was very grateful to charge my phone as I wouldn't have a way to call a uber. I would recommend this place.“

“I was in Boston for a day and needed something to eat to hold me down for a few hours. I found this place inside a whole foods. It was weird. Nobody was there to take my order. I thought it was closed, but the hours stated it was open. I noticed the option of placing my order online via a QR code. So I did. 10 minutes later my food arrived. For the record, it was 1 BBQ burger. It looked like something you'd get at McDonald's. And tasted like the Rodeo Cheeseburger at Burger King. Actually brought back lots of memories from my childhood. Really good in a junk food kind of way. The menu actually had lots of options, all fast food inspired. I would love to go back and try it all. A bit pricy tho. The veggie Pizza had very fresh veggies with a good amount of fresh arugula scattered on top. Roasted garlic too! A sausage and mushroom pizza was also very good and filling. Wish there were some type of Dixie plates to put our individual slices“

“Had Amelia Cluck & Smash near Northeastern last week and I can confidently say I’ve entered my chicken sandwich era.

The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was easily the star of the meal. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and balanced with that sweet-and-spicy combo that just works. Honestly, no complaints there — a true 10/10 sandwich.

We also tried the smash burger, tacos, and churros. Everything was solid, satisfying, and exactly what you want from a quick comfort-food stop. Nothing overly fancy, but definitely hits the craving.

This spot really shines for what it is: a classic grab-and-go place. Quick, convenient, and great when you want something indulgent without committing to a full sit-down experience.

“Solid spot for a quick Vietnamese meal.

Been here a few times for breakfast. It’s one of the few Asian spots around that opens at 7 a.m. daily. The menu isn’t as expansive as some of the more popular Vietnamese restaurants in Dorchester, but they do offer a handful of pre-packaged items like spring rolls and sticky rice.

I usually came in around opening when the sticky rice was still warm, and the version topped with chicken sausage and pork was quite good. Portions were smaller than what you’d get at some other Vietnamese spots, but the flavor was better. I also tried the bánh khọt (shrimp pancakes) and the grilled pork combo rice plate. Both solid, but not particularly memorable.

My main issue was the pricing. Since prices aren’t listed on the overhead menu, items were rung up as “custom” at the register. Without an itemized receipt, it was hard to tell whether I was being charged correctly, and the total felt a bit high for a place like this. I’d recommend paying cash or asking for a menu with prices to avoid any surprises.“

“I don’t usually write these reviews, but I just can’t hold it in. This man in the striped shirt, The man Alex Booth. When he delivered me my food at a wondeful and timely pace with a smile on that beautoful face, he made sure I wanted NO sauce. Then said “are you sure,” I said “yes” and although I did not want more sauce, I felt connected to the Walpole Chic Fil A, and I genuily felt that if I needed anything, an ambulance, or even just a hug in this difficult world I would get my needs met. I have never felt this in any other establishment.
