“An excellent Massachusetts wedding venue! I'm a wedding photographer and had the pleasure of photographing one of my couple's weddings at Grove. I love it so much that I had to write a venue guide about it on my website.

Everything was great, from visiting one partner in Briar Barn Inn (where they were getting ready) right up until the dance party portion of the reception.

The staff were very kind (to the couple and to the vendors) and everything ran smoothly. I was particularly impressed by how they handled plan changes: this wedding took place during the first storm of the season, so I just had to get the couple outside for some snow pictures. This was no problem though, which was great.

“It is so wonderful to hear that the Agawam Diner is still in business. I grew up in Portsmouth, NH and from 1975?-1989, my mother had to take me for a periodic checkup to an allergy physician in Danvers and most every time on the way back home we would stop at the diner to have something to eat. I am now 55 and living in Florida, but I will never my several visits to the Agawam Diner. For those that haven't eaten there yet, do yourself a favor and stop in. You will not be disappointed“

I'm not sure if this is a family-owned Italian restaurant but it's the same nice lady every time we go there. Greeting you and seating your.
The service is friendly and they seem to know everyone that comes through the door. The food is fantastic and there's something for almost everyone.
My only complaint would be that the dining room gets very noisy and it's hard to talk, but what do you expect when you're an Italian restaurant and everyone is having a great time.“

“Ipswich Ale Brewery in Ipswich, MA for a flight+ & a pint of some delicious New England suds. This was my first trip here so I was like a kid in a candy store except there was no candy, just a bunch of craft beer. I hadn't tried anything from these guys either, but saw they were only 45min from where I moved recently so I figured I'd make the trip. I had no idea that they had been in operation since 1991, making them the Massachusetts North Shores oldest brewery. They have a bunch of different styles, with ales seemingly being the main focus, but I figured I would try as many as I could. This job is hard, but somebody has to do it. 🍻🍻🔥💪☘

The first taster in my flight of four was the AMERICAN LAGER that I personally thought was excellent & a above average lager for sure. My second 4oz taster was the IPSWICH PILSNER that was another good light offering from these guys. Definitely off to a good start beer wise here so far. The third taster was the BLUEBERRY SHANDY that was just okay, but I'm not big into shandy's or radler's, I may just need to find the right one. The last 4oz I scooped was the CRANBERRY BERET Fruited Sour which was a average sour, I enjoyed it more than the shandy though. I then grabbed a pint of the flagship IPA simply named IPA, a above average delicious offering as far as American IPAs go. I finished off my visit with another 4oz taster of the HELLBOUND Barleywine, a yummy barleywine packed with tons of flavor & notes raisins & caramel. 🍻🍺🔥☘☘

I got a cheeseburger for lunch with tots (one of my many weaknesses) as a side to soak up the beer. The burger was good, but nothing crazy that I would go out of my way for again if I returned to the area. All the usual seating options with a big bar, hightops, tables & patio. The bartender was super friendly & sociable letting us know what was most popular beers were & the beers he personally liked himself. Plenty of beer to go as well for home or tastings with friends. Well worth checking out if you're in the area, they have a style of beer for everyone. 🍻🍻🔥☘✌♥️🍺

I'd give it a solid 4 stars overall, primarily because the food is an undeniable 5-star affair. Let's start with the fantastic eats. We kicked things off with the chili and cheese tater tots, hush puppies, and smoked wings, all of which were a hit. For our main courses, we both ordered from the daily specials. My husband raved about his smoked turkey club sandwich, and my pork belly and mojo chicken tacos were absolutely incredible. Seriously, no complaints whatsoever about the quality or flavor of the food – it's top-notch BBQ! However, the experience was slightly let down by the service, which I'd rate 3 stars, and a particularly frustrating issue with the drink offerings. Our waitress was prompt in taking our initial drink order and kept our glasses topped off, but she did so silently, never checking in to see if we were ready to order our food. We actually waited a full 30 minutes before we could place our food order, which felt excessive. My biggest gripe, though, is with the drink selection, especially the water. The menu lists sparkling water, and we even saw a box of Saratoga sparkling water on display. Yet, when we tried to order it, our waitress informed us it was "just for the owner." When I inquired about the menu's sparkling water, she clarified it was just "soda water from the fountain." And the only bottled water available was Dasani – double yuck for those who prefer something else! It felt really off that the higher-quality option was displayed but reserved exclusively for the owner. For someone who doesn't drink soda or beer, this is a surprisingly big deal. They don't even offer juice for kids, which seems like an oversight. While the food at Rusty Can is truly exceptional and makes it worth a visit, I might hesitate to return unless they significantly improve their water options. It seems like a minor detail, but for many, it makes a big difference.“

“So this was our 2nd trip, the 1st was not favorable. Woodman's without question made sure we would come back. So we did and probably on the worst weekend of the year, July 4th weekend! It was well worth it. The line was out the door and down the side walk to the next building. We questioned if we wanted to wait since they had a table set up with water and other items to pass the time. The wait was not bad at all, we had ordered 20 minutes after we started our wait and had our food in under 10 minutes. So a total of 30 minutes, not bad at all. I'm still baffled that there were so many empty tables available, where did all the people go that were in line?
We got clam chowder, a fried whole belly clams plate, a fried scallop plate and 2 fried lobster tails. All of it was excellent. The chowder was full of substance with good flavor, the fried seafood was also excellent, the fried food was clean with no old or bad frying oil taste, the fries are typical fries, the onion rings were outstanding, you can see them battering the onion rings behind the register and the lobster tails were also excellent. We had a beer and a mix drink which both were excellent as well. I actually told the bartender just make something fruity and strong that my wife will like. She made something which she said had no name but my wife was very happy.
This was all nice priced at $110 for the food and another $20 for the drinks. Yeah I know $130 sounds expensive and I agree so that's why we only do this once maybe twice a year. It was worth it to us!
I will be honest I did believe the fried lobster tail was a little small, I think they were a lobster tail that was split in half so 2 pieces out of 1 tail. The only other thing we saw was that the portions are a LITTLE small. Don't get me wrong these plates were not loaded with fries and onion rings to appear they are big portions. There was a good portion of fries and onion rings and a good amount of good sized seafood as well. It was more that when we go to these places when not knowing the size portions we each order a meal and share each other's. At the end of the meal we grab a to-go box and are like holy crap we should have just ordered 1 and shared it which we do the next time. This time we both finished our meals, left full and happy.
In the end this place is well worth it.
Speedy, friendly service, great food, priced comparable makes this place a must visit. In the end I would give this place a strong A to A+.“
