“Went tonight based on a recommendation from a friend. I had the watermelon martini which was delicious. The artichoke appetizer was perfection. I hade the ribeye which was flavorful just a little overcooked. I tend to like steak very rare either way I would try it again. My boyfriend ordered his filet medium which was a little closer to well but he still enjoyed it. Our server was very attentive and hard working. She frequently checked to make sure we were happy. We will definitely go back.“

People were friendly, don’t know if it was my Southern Accent 😁 but either way I had a great time relaxing at the Tavern.“

It’s a very intimate experience and the drinks take a while to come out but with the amount of time and effort they’ve put into concocting them it’s understandable. Food was decent I wouldn’t rant and rave about anything in particular it wasn’t bad that’s for sure just not standing out as much as the drinks do!“

“What a great night! We thought we were going to a fundraiser, but after checking the ticket it’s next month🤦🏼‍♀️ So since we were ready for a night out we ventured to Swampscott to check out G Bar! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! “Walked in on a Friday afternoon. Bartender was absolutely fantastic. Old Fashioned was lovely. The Picklebacks though were the highlight of the trip. They make their own spicy pickle juice and I’m obsessed with it. I wish they bottled it and it was available for sale. I need the recipe. Best drinks we had in Boston all weekend.“

Right now, it's paragraphs after paragraphs of many many sakes. I got analysis paralysis after a few seconds.“

“VERY cool vibes! Even cooler this place is behind a random door in the alley of an alley.
The drinks were good, but $22/drink made us stay for only one. We thought there would be something cool like dry ice or something for that price. One of our drinks came in a horn, which was cool. The other was basically an espresso martini. The bartender put on a neat show.
It felt like there needed to be one more bartender and one less server. It’s a very small room so the servers seemed like they were standing around a bit waiting for the bartender. We waited a pretty long time for our drinks.
