I got a small coffee and cherry pastry and a toasty seat by the fire. The whole place was clean and bright, the staff friendly and ready, despite the early hour and the storm. “I found myself in Worcester yesterday and searched for vegan food online and found Belmont Vegetarian among others listed. After seeing several pictures of dishes I decided to go! And I’m glad I did! Belmont Vegetarian (where everything is vegan) was delicious and in heaping portions. There’s a smaller (but still big) container for only $17 and change and a giant container (which I obviously got) for $19 and change. I got BBQ, mac n cheese, rice , beans, and chickpeas, and some sweet n sour steak. They also make their own delicious juice with sea moss. I got watermelon. The place is set up for takeout mostly with only 2 dining tables.Definitely worth the drive from NH!“

“Amazing! The Reuben blew my mind and the fries are wicked flavorful. We ate here every single day of our Salem stay and it still didn’t feel like I got enough of it. Their desserts are so good. The whoopie pies, chocolate and funfetti, remind me of childhood. I also had the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes…chefs kisses all around. The husband said the cookies were great and had several every night for a bedtime snack. They had peanut butter chocolate chip and traditional chocolate chip. Both were winners! We tried the Reuben, turkey wrap, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, and desserts. Everything was great. We did not have one item that didn’t taste great. Make this one of your must visit stops if you’re in Salem!“

“The food at Fatima's is absolutely delicious and very fresh. The owner is an amazing human being who is incredibly kind. My daughter loves a cake she makes, and Fatima was out of it on the day we were visiting the restaurant. I told the owner we would be back for cake on our next visit, when my daughter was home from college. The owner told me that there was no way my daughter was headed back to school without having her favorite cake. She made a special batch that morning, when she was not even open, in order for my daughter to enjoy it before she left. Both my daughter and I were in tears, we could not believe her incredible kindness. I hope this place succeeds greatly and is around for years to come! “My husband, adult son, and I ate brunch at the Miss Worcester Diner yesterday, January 4th, for the first time. We were able to quickly get seats at the counter which provided us with front row seats to watch the short-order cook work his magic. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. The menu is fantastic and the food...we all had the best French toast and homemade corned beef hash we've ever had. My son had the blueberry ricotta stuffed French toast. My husband had the King Kong French toast and I had the World Famous Crunchy French toast. We added two sides of homemade corned beef hash and one side of bacon. All. Of. It. Was. Ridiculously. Good. Including the coffee. If you feel nostalgic for a true old school diner experience, this is the place. This is an authentic Worcester Lunch Cart Mfg. Co. diner car with crazy stickers covering every square inch of exposed interior surfaces. An overall stellar experience! If you're in the Worcester area, DO NOT miss this place. “Called different bakeries in the area looking for a blueberry bourbon cobbler I had tried at a Boston Restaurant and she was able make it happen in less than 24 hours. Didn’t charge me much either for a good size too. Definitely will try again and recommend. Great service, fresh ingredients at a reasonable price.“

Right across the side street from The Commons at Worcester City Hall! Yes! We New Englanders know how to party! _____, her husband _____, pal _____, and yours truly (all of us Leominsterites) made merry at the best middle eastern establishment around! (It’s been a favorite of mine for some time!) Oversized containers piled high with falafel, kibbeh, egg plant, grape leaves, rice, vegetables, as well as beef and chicken (all separated for the veggies among us, ahem!), hummus, tahini, pita bread, baklava, etc. etc.! All in the wonderful Shawarma Palace! When I worked in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) in the 1980s, I fell in love with the orange-and-lemon-flavored shawarmas along Al Baatha Street, the central traditional thoroughfare at the time. Today, we all got to replicate those flavors at the Shawarma Palace! Hurray and hurrah!“

“Went for first time 3/3/24 and caught the end of the brunch buffet around 4pm. The food was flavorful, fresh, and overall excellent. Something for everyone in that buffet -it's not overly seasoned, and they had several deserts that use natural sweeteners (like dates and figs) with no added sugar. The crème brûlée french toast was incredible, the bacon, smoky, and my chai was silky and had a perfect combo of spices. “This is a really nice place in terms of environment, really warm atmosphere, you can feel like you are at your grandma’s house during the winter, that is how I was feeling.
The service is amazing, people working there is so nice, gentle and sweet. The drinks….. the drinks….. wine and beer are 100% local, home made, and those were just amazing. Different wines like red, white and sweet, all great. My concern, the menu. The have a very notable difference between the lunch menu and the dinner menu. Lunch is basically sandwiches, no too many options. Make sure to check the menu before visiting and make sure to go at a time according what you would like to eat.“
