“Came for one drink and ended up having dinner here because of the atmosphere. The bartenders were so down to earth and the esthetics were Instagram worthy! The food was great, we had the skewers and calamari for dinner the lobster raviolis 10/10.

“A bar with top-notch service and truly skilled and knowledgeable bartenders. We sat in the cozy back patio, which added to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. The food was far beyond your typical pub fare — flavorful and thoughtfully prepared.

They had an impressive selection of whiskies, tequilas, and digestifs, all at very reasonable prices. I was lucky enough to try the Fortaleza Winter Blends 2023 and 2024 side by side, and the bartender was kind enough to label the glasses so I could compare them properly. Cocktails were excellent as well.

For food, we ordered the Baby Iceberg Salad, Pork Sausage Roll, Denver Steak Frites, Roasted Cod, Risotto, and Chicken Sandwich. Everything was delicious — my steak was cooked perfectly to temp, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned.

One person in our group wasn’t sure about the doneness of their chicken sandwich since it looked slightly pink in the middle (which seemed normal to me for a chicken thigh sandwich). Our server handled it perfectly — he offered both a replacement and a refund without hesitation. The manager, Daren, also came by to explain that they carefully temp all their chicken straight from the fryer and use high-quality organic meat. To top it off, they even sent out a complimentary flan for dessert.

“Amazing service, atmosphere and food. They had so many reservations but we're able to fit our little 2 person reservation in on a side table. Highly recommend the flank steak fajitas. I really enjoyed the open air abilities of the restaurant too. They can open all the windows and it feels like everyone is at an outside restaurant.“

“I had eaten at Earl's last year and was very disappointed at how service really seriously missed the mark. I received a very nice response from the management, however because of what happened I stayed away for quite some time I've always loved the food here though. This year I decided to give it another shot and I took one of my closest friends for his birthday celebration on extremely busy night. Brooke was our server, and she was outstanding. On a very very busy night she was able to juggle many tables and get everything right and visit the table just enough to make it a great experience for us and as always the food was outstanding. I absolutely love the the noodle salad with soy chicken. My wife had the same with fried tofu. The chips and avocado dip are unreal. Incredible taste and texture with the corn the feta cheese the pickled onion and the avocado. Was fantastic.“

Stopped by around 7PM on a Friday, just before it got super-crowded. There was limited seating indoors (just two tables plus the bar and some couches), but the small terrace seats overlooking the square were a nice touch—especially if you’re visiting on a warmer evening. The bar itself was stylish enough for a proper cocktail night, but also relaxed enough to feel cozy and unpretentious.

As for the drinks, they seemed to do frequent rotations to keep things fresh (Some of the hyped-up favorites from the past were no longer available). Of the three we tried, the Fairmount Flip was our favorite. As described, it was a full-bodied, creamily cocktail reminiscent of the classic Montreal egg & cheese bagel sandwich. An impeccable mix of sweet, salty, and creamy that somehow just worked. The other two cocktails we tried leaned more generic.

Overall, it was the kind of place that elevated our casual night out without ever trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d return to after dinner for a nightcap or even just to grab a seat on the terrace and unwind.“

“We came here for dinner. Service was good. Staff was helpful and friendly. We tried the Birria Taco, Fish Taco, Shrimp Taco, pork taco, Nachos steak fried, Pupuas and Churros. “I've been to this restaurant a lot—probably 20+ times—and usually love it. Even when I come alone and sit at the bar, it's always a good experience. But tonight was really disappointing. We had a 5:00 reservation on Saturday. Showed up on time, left around 6:15. At first, things were fine—our server brought water, then two canned beers (no glasses), then came back with glasses and took our food order (a chowder and two appetizers). After that, he just disappeared. The restaurant wasn't busy at all—plenty of staff were standing around chatting—so it didn't feel like he was too busy, more like he just forgot about us. By 5:30 our waters were empty, we wanted another round of beers, and the table needed clearing. But there was no way to get help. I even thought about calling the front desk to ask for our server, which is pretty ridiculous. By 6:00 the place started filling up, and our server finally reappeared. We ordered one more beer but skipped more food since we had already waited too long, and then just asked for the check. To be fair, he was nice and polite, so I don't think he's a bad server overall—but the service tonight was really bad. The restaurant itself is still good, and I'll be back—just hoping next time goes better.“
