“One of my favorite restaurants for spicy chicken burger in Boston area. I love their piri piri fries, falafel, and also their Vegetarian burger.

They offer varies hotness levels, and trust me when they say it's hot, it's going to be really hot. For most people Mild or Medium should be ideal.“

“We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.“

Parking ?️ you have the option of looking for meter parking or parking in the garage which is less than 1/2 block and is a reasonable price . The price of the food is good for the quality and portion size .

Parking: Paid parking less the 1/2 a block the price is reasonable. Or you can look for meter parking but it’s a bit difficult .“

Pics are from my fourth visit to the newish Saugus branch, a fantastic Adana kebap, with a homemade rice pudding for dessert, on a blustery Saturday. “We have never been and it was one of the best meals we have had! The chicken was so flavorful and wasn’t dry at all. The sandwiches were delicious and portion sizes are not for the faint of heart. We had leftovers for 2 meals! The staff was kind and patient with us as we had a few extra questions since we had never been before. “Finally found halal chicken near me! I have been looking for it and its amazing. The tender chicken melts into your mouth. Even though I don't eat spicy but this restaurant has all spice levels so you must try this restaurant. The chicken has leveled up.“

I tried the iskender kabob plate. I’ve never had that dish before so I have no baseline, but it was tender meat in a delicious sauce served over bread cubes that soaked up all of the goodness — all with a side of yogurt. Amazing dish, I will return for more. Portion size was huge too. Tried the baklava for dessert, also excellent. Bonus, the person working behind the counter was super nice.

Will definitely head back to try many more things here.“

I watched him handle pickups, discounts, and even a last-minute order change with total professionalism. For a fast-casual spot, the level of training and hospitality here is always impressive. “Love the food. Remind me of my mom's food which is highest level of compliment anyone can provide. Food has always been fresh, I have eaten inside and got it delivered through Uber eats and door dash. Food quality has been consistent. I ordered from this place quite a lot. Keema, Nihari, Naan, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Achari Gosht, Chicken Curry, Goat Curry, Beef Curry, Biryani, Chapli Kebab, Pakoras. All of these dishes are highly recommended. I wish they actually gave more raita and green chutney, they definitely are stingy on it lol.“

“I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. Thank you, Tawakal Halal, so much for giving me an experience I will never forget and know that when I return to Boston, you can bet the first stop on my itinerary will be your café. “This is my third time visiting this place, and it still doesn’t disappoint! My go-to order is the chicken and lamb plate—the quality and quantity are great for the price.

While the restaurant isn’t fancy and the space may not be as clean as some might expect, it’s perfect for a quick, satisfying bite. If you get sick, it’s because your immune system is definitely weak. Only those with strong microbiome will enjoy this place. The shawarma is genuinely tasty, and the owner is incredibly kind. “On one of the first days at my company, a colleague took me to the old New York Deli on Temple Street and introduced me to Kadhim. I couldn't understand why he would take the time - it's not like this guy is going to remember me out of all of the people who come through there. My mistake - every time I would see him over the years, at whatever location, Kadhim would come from behind the counter and greet me by name like an old friend. Understand - he was told my name once, over 20 years ago. I don't even go out to lunch very often - sometimes it would be years between visits to one of the Falafel King locations. But every time I enter, it's a big smile and greeting and an expression of appreciation that cannot be faked...go check them out!“

“This place is so good. Best Uyghur food I’ve had in New England. We tried 6 entrees and enjoyed all of them.
