“Birdies Hot Chicken is a locally owned spot that has quietly built one of the stronger reputations for fried chicken in the Boston area, and the tenders are where that reputation is easiest to understand.

The chicken comes out juicy and well crusted, with a batter that stays crispy without being thick or greasy, and the seasoning underneath does more work than most hot chicken spots bother with. The heat is the headline but the flavor is what keeps you coming back, and the two are balanced well enough that even at higher spice levels the chicken still tastes like something rather than just burning.

The spice levels are worth taking seriously. The extra hot is genuinely challenging and rewarding in equal measure if you have the tolerance for it, but the mid-range levels give you enough of the flavor profile to understand what the kitchen is doing without requiring a recovery period afterward.

The seasoned fries are a natural companion and hold up well alongside the tenders, and the sliders are worth knowing about if you want to build out a larger order across a few different formats.

She was amazed because hello, but I don't care why people are giving this a one star review because it just doesn't understand chick. Fil a has Chick-fil-A sauce. They also have Honey barbecue and Chicken Sandwich, but my favorite one is macaroni cheese. They're Mac and cheese is the bomb and their ice cream is amazing. Let's talk about their service. Their surface is less and less. It's getting worse because their surface have to do something because something is happening last year ago or let's say a month ago. I want you to check the way and there is less paper that was working. It's unlike teenagers, teenagers are supposed to be having jobs to support their money to go to college, right? But you know that there was no young teenagers, there were adults. So what happened don't know in that hour to 10 minutes to 20 minute hours to wait for a whole line to get my food, which they took forever, they even they took a book phone oh yes, the new update you wanna know you can do. Is do a phone? Yes, but you only have to pay online. You don't have to pay on the store. It's not DoorDash. It's something else, it's amazing, but it hacks your account and it goes Ding-Dong Wong because it doesn't hack you account because when you actually eat it, it just makes herself now I'm just giving the supply strawberry voo because I love it, thank you.“

Closed on Sunday. Staff don’t speak English and are not very friendly. Just tell them what you want give them cash and leave.“

“I have been going here on occasion for years and realized I never left a review. Bread, pate, and everything is always fresh. The food and service quality have remained consistent over the year. Whenever I want banh mi and I am in the North Quincy / Wollaston area, this has always been my go to spot. It's also an easy, transit accessible spot, just a few minutes walk from North Quincy Red Line station and the nearby bus stop for the 210 Bus.“

“I support and have been to clover many times, especially in my neighborhood Kendall sq, now finally getting around to a review. This place is great for lunch and a quick dinner option. Can order ahead for pick up. On this visit, I ordered one of the newer items- Verde bowl with spicy tender pork. I've never had fake pork before and I quite I liked it. The bowl itself was obviously well thought out and balanced, very flavorful with a good mix of textures and crunch. I might hesitate to order again tho as it has fried plantains/tostones and fried jalapenos which I could get without, but then it seems to become an even smaller portion than it was. I does feels it a bit expensive for what it is, but most things in this area are. Moreover, they do care about their where they get their ingredients, so I don't mind paying for that. The sides are great including the hummus, fries soups, beverages etc. I've had several other sandwiches including the meatball sub and falafel. Overall my only issue is they use more oil in their items (eg fried falafel or oily meatballs) than my tummy is used to. Tasty though nonetheless, and would be fine for those with less sensitive stomachs. I will continue to support this trailblazing vegetarian/ vegan establishment who sources locally, and hope to see more thoughtful places like it in the immediate future. Kudos to the food lab !“

“Coming from Ireland we have little to no 'fast food' plant based options like this so I was excited to try! I got one of the regular burgers, the mac and cheese and the fries. The burger was excellent, I couldn't fault it. the Mac and Cheese was also very tasty. Not overly gone on the fries but still nice!“

Satisfied, I bought some tacos and churros. The prices were more than reasonable, most things almost unbelievably affordable. The staff was friendly and respectable. I was very grateful to charge my phone as I wouldn't have a way to call a uber. I would recommend this place.“
