“I've traveled the World and lived in a bunch of places, and nothing compares to Tailgate. I hate to say it, but it's so true, and it keeps me coming back even though I haven't lived in SH for a decade.

The ambiance of the place is phenomenal. It's so adorable and warming, like your visiting your favorite family member. Handwritten menus and knick knacks scattered throughout the place to make you feel at home.

The food is magnificent. I almost always get The Lumberjack on wheat wrap, and ALWAYS get the pickle 🥒. Do yourself a favor and get a side of pasta salad, and then pick up some delicious chips as you slide down towards the register.

“Of all the businesses in the Northampton area, I think Pie Bar is my #1 favorite. Everything is perfect: the savory and sweet offerings, the full espresso menu, the indoor and outdoor ambiance, the kindness of the employees, the proximity to the beloved bike path. Pie Bar is the place that makes me feel luckiest to live here, and I hope it stays forever.

“I love this place and apparently so does everyone else!! The only downside is that it's always crowded. The wait is definitely worth it. The sandwiches are so good and fresh and there is a wide selection of baked goods and desserts to choose from. If you ask anyone in northampton where to get lunch they will suggest Woodstar.“

“I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel and an iced Chai latte. The Chai was delicious, very flavorful and spice forward, not the typical lightly flavored milk drink I usual get at cafes around here. The sandwich was also delicious, nice texture and full of flavor. It tasted fresh and of quality ingredients.

My one piece of feedback for the restaurant is that because the menu is so large it was difficult to read as a new customer. There were too many menu boards and they didn't feel cohesively setup. I didn't see the bagel options before ordering because that sign was so far from the breakfast sandwich sign. I might have missed it, but I didn't see the drinks on the printed out menus either. Not a deal breaker by any means but that could improve customer experience.“

“The money was worth it since we got so much from our visit. Next time I may check out the two art museums as well. Parking was close and free, which was a nice bonus. Since Main Street isn't far, there are plenty of restaurants nearby but nothing to eat inside the museums“

“If you’re anywhere in the area, this little unassuming cafe is an absolute must.To start, Laura—who it seems typically opens in the morning—had my order memorized like I was a years-long regular after just a single visit. I waltzed in just after opening (7:05), hoping not to be “that guy” that walks in super early while she’s trying to do her side work. “My husband and I were on interstate 91 and we needed an EV charger. Found marcotte ford. We were there at 11:15 for lunch. My wife ordered a classic cheeseburger and I ordered a tuna melt. Both were amazing. We did go in with low expectations, thinking it was a cafe Inside a ford dealership, it couldn't be that good, boy were we wrong. Chef Tim and chaye take their jobs seriously and it shows. I would highly recommend whether you live in the area and are looking for a great lunch stop or, like us you're traveling looking for an EV charger, this is now our new stop in western massachusetts. Then I ordered a side of corn beef hash. It was so yummy!! They make it from scratch in house.

My fiend had the chorizo which she said was excellent. My mom and brother had the eggs Benedict with corn beef hash.

The homemade potatoes with the eggs were perfect!

And the strawberry jam is house made too!
Nathan was our waiter and he was kind and helpful and attentive.

I'm very sensitive to gluten cross- contamination, and it was reassuring to me that the staff person was knowledgeable and asked me if I had a gluten allergy and needed separate preparation for my order. They also are taking COVID precautions seriously. They are requiring proof of vaccination in order to dine in (this is clearly posted inside and outside of restaurant), and while at my table I overheard a staff person asking an unmasked person to put on a mask. Ordering gluten free is very easy- it’s marked on the menu. And they mapped out their top 10 most popular shakes (which I highly recommend trying). They also have a loyalty card for a chance to win a free drink.
