“We were absolutely blown away by Blackberry River Bistro — both the food and the service. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and it was so clear that it’s all made from scratch. We actually stumbled upon this place by chance while staying at a B&B in Great Barrington, and we’re so grateful we did.

The wings were unreal — perfectly crispy, meaty, and coated in just the right amount of sauce, homemade bleu cheese dressing! And if you’re questioning whether to get dessert… absolutely do it here. Worth every bite.

I haven’t had the chance to try the truffles but I know it will be delicious. I’m also impressed by the wide selection of tea infused gifts such as the candles and bath bombs and of course the soaps. I love the logo on the tea cups and shirts etc.”

“So…you can see them in the background of their current profile pic..the TOMATOES!! These are THIER OWN TOMATOES! Obviously, here we sit, it’s June 19th, these have to be greenhouse tomatoes. Now, don’t get me wrong, nothin wrong with a greenhouse tomato, but, given the choice, I’d take a sun-ripened field tomato over a greenhouse tomato 8 days a week! These tomatoes are awesome! They cut and eat like field tomatoes! Tomatoes make me happy…and I thought I wasn’t going to be happy for another month or more…what a pleasant surprise!”

“Prairie Whale in Great Barrington has a really nice European, almost global vibe. The place feels alive with character, and you can sense that everyone there is genuinely present. The staff are attentive, relaxed and happy, which makes the whole experience feel easy and happy. The space is real that’s hard to fake. Good job, Mark.”

“Stopped by during a road trip and was pleasantly surprised. It's a clean, well-kept spot with a nice selection of smoothies. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the drinks were delicious. My son really enjoyed it too. Great little stop!”

“Half Rats is just what this town needs. A low key, stylish non pretentious place to spend an evening and socialize; or just sit alone by yourself and read a book on the 1970 something couch. A couch made of wool and steel. It reminds me of the couch my grandparents had when I was growing up. That couch; a brown wool couch, was where my grandmother would take her last breath as she spoke on the phone with my brother. She was 90.”

“What a warm lunch spot! Very friendly Atmosphere ! We tried the Soup special, Shredded beef soup with cabbage! It was incredibly flavorful, rich and spiced perfectly! I also tried the Mexican tacos which were super authentic, and perfect for a Tuesday 😉 Also our server was super sweet and had a fantastic personality! Food came fast, and our quick lunch date turned into a lovely afternoon with my Beautiful Fiancé! 6/5 mama mias !”
