“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. “We visited from out of state and felt so welcomed by the staff here. The Gal was working alone but still talked with us the entire time while she flipped dough by hand and made pizzas, calzones and subs. The calzones were huge and so delicious! Our Air bnb wasn’t ready for a couple of hours so she was nice enough to let us keep our luggage behind the counter so we didn’t have to it around. We will definitely be going back!“

I always ask for extra extra extra sauce, but no one ever puts enough on. But today was different. The manager really heard how serious I was and made a perfect pie for me!

“This was the last day of my Salem trip and we were looking for comfort food. This was totally it! I heard Massachusetts was famous for their roast beef, and this was literally the best one I have ever had. It was delicious!!!! Also tried the burger, onion rings, and pizza. So fresh, and I can’t stress enough delicious! This is a cute little local spot, with also friendly beautiful amazing staff, thank you! This added to my amazing experience, I will dream about that sandwich and I will be back! Thank you! 10 stars!“

“It matches the hype. The Sicilian Pizza is…perfect. There’s not enough superlatives to do it justice and if there were, even then it wouldn’t reach hyperbole. Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.“

“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“This place is Fantastic. I eat lunch here weekly. The menu selection is huge. Whether it be a sub, pizza. salad, or a dinner everything is super fresh and you will not be disappointed. The Super Roast Beef is probably one of the best beef’s I have had in my life. The chicken kebob salad or Caesar salad is delicious and enough to feed two people. The staff is friendly. “Another gem in Saugus when you compare takeout places. Homemade Greek style pizza from scratch is certainly the best thing on the menu. Everything is cheap and freshly made. Most of the menu are things made from scratch. They even have their own recipes from their chicken and steak marinade to their own red sauce they put on their pizzas and all their parmesan dishes. The owner is an outstanding gentleman that cares more about the customers than anything else. The place is very clean and the cooks in the back are very talented. If there ever is a problem with the order, the staff, including the owner will usually go out of their way to fix it for you. I encourage you to give them a try.“

“My husband said his pizza was the best he's ever had in Boston - he got the pepperoni. The pain killer cocktails were phenomenal. The general manager came over to see how things were. Was super friendly, chatted for a few, but was not bothersome at all. A nice touch, that doesn't happen much these days. Some constructive feedback: My chopped salad (my meal) was fresh, but boring. It was pre-dressed with ranch, but not nearly enough. Recommend putting dressing on the side so it's not over/under done. Bigger slices of avocado would have made it more flavorful. Also, mostly high top seats. This makes it challenging for people of shorter stature and seniors, unless they are sitting on the patio, which was not open, due to rain Great decor/vibe, and overall decent experience. We'd probably come back, but I'd likely order something different.“

“1st night we had an amazing experience with margherita pizza and pistachio martinis with a great server named Brian! 10/10! HOWEVER - we went back the next night without a reservation because the martinis were so good. They do accept walk ins! There were four empty tables and we were seated. We had already ate so we wanted to order the $19 martinis. My friend ordered one and then about 15 minutes later I ordered one. Shortly after I received my drink my friend wanted to order another and then were told a reservation was coming in and that if we wanted to drink there is a bar down the street! It seemed like because we didn't order food that we were treated a certain way and this was a totally different experience than the night before. My friend stated so you are kicking us out!? The waiter stated we could sit at a different table but we felt so disrespected that we just left. Unfortunate for this business as we would have kept spending money with multiple drinks but I guess they don't need our business again!“

“Really good sandwiches! The panini and fries combo was MASSIVE and super good. Honestly, it’s like the most food in a sandwich and fries combo that I maybe have ever been given. The kids also enjoyed their pizza (which the cooks were enough to customize for them with pesto instead of red sauce). Everything was really affordable - especially in 2025 with the massive inflation everywhere. Strongly recommend.“
