“Sushi portions are tiny, the wait was MUCH longer than usual, even though there were almost no people on Wednesday night. That being said, the place is very nice and clean, the personnel is super friendly and helpful. And most important: the sushi quality and presentation (!) are VERY good, especially comparing to other options in the area!“

“We got 2 large platters (one hot and one raw) for 4 adults. WoW. That was a lot of food. The presentation was beautiful, one on a boat and the other on a bridge. The pieces were huge and very fresh. A lot of different combinations to try. The waitstaff was so nice. Highly recommend!“

“They have the best sushi & soups. One of the best sushi places I’ve been in the North Shore Area. It’s pretty private but my family goes every week and they treat customers like gold. The lobster salad is also amazing the food quality is truthfully great. 10/10 recommend!“

“We have tried Sushi Yanagi quite a few times, we love it! Everything we have tried has been delicious. What inspired me to leave this review today was my salmon avocado sushi (pictured next to the eel avocado sushi, also delicious!) never in my life have I had salmon sushi that looks this beautiful- and it's the best tasting I have ever had. Wow!!“

“got takeout, went home and egg foo yong had no gravy on it. Called them up and told them about that. Not even two minutes later the woman called back and stated that's the way they make it! I have had this numerous times and there was always brown gravy on it and in container! She was very argumentative. For that reason , we will not be going back! DO BETTER!“

“One of the best restaurants in town!! I am from Ohio visiting my boyfriends family for the holidays. I ate here last year when I visited but since I was with a large group I wasnt able to focus fully on the food. This time it was just my boyfriend and I so it was easy to savor the food well. This is the best sushi I have ever had in my 24 years of living. I took my first bite and almost cried out of pure enjoyment of the flavor. Each roll was better than the last! My favorite would have to be the Chicken Tempura roll and the Godzilla roll. Too good!! Very good portion sizes!
The price for the all you can eat is definitely worth it! My advice is to eat sushi rolls first and get the fried things you want after! Definitely go on an empty stomach.
The dessert was delicious! We got the Tempura Banana (included in AYCE) and Mochi (a few dollars extra) The mochi was so sweet and delicious! The Tempura Banana was a dream as well!!
We had a very kind and nice waitress! Everyone working here was such a delight to speak to. The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely outstanding!

“Been coming here since 2009. Nothing but spectacular experience. The GM Kevin is very hospitable and makes sure you are taken care of. The menu is spectacular and the new items are some of my favorite. I will say tho I do miss the tuna tataki but they accommodate every time.“

“I truly loved this place, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, helpful with suggestions on making food choices, all food was prepared and served with the freshest ingredients, hot, large portions, spicy pickled radish, pork fried rice and Happy family, strongly suggested, drinks were made with fresh juice, not syrupy, a big plus, you gotta try this place, I will definitely be back with more friends, ♥️♥️“

“Other than the cafeteria being full on weekends, this place is my favorite. They cook very well and ingredients are fresh. I order the bento and the level of detail is phenomenal. this is the tastiest food I've ever had and will always be coming here as long as I'm alive. The prices keep going up so I hope they calm down. The best time to come is during the week.“

“Pretty standard menu with Japanese and Chinese options. This is our favorite takeout on weeknights in Reading and always good. Dining in is nice, clean and the service is fast and perfect amount of attention. The menu isn’t super creative and leaves me wanting more options like maybe some soup or steamed dumplings but I think their strength is hibachi and sushi.

“This was our second visit and both times the food was AMAZING!!! Amy was our waitress and was attentive, friendly and super nice!!! The chef was very busy but still took a moment to check in with us. We travel here from Cape Cod and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!“

“🔴Unfortunately🔴, it's very dark 😔and hard to read the menu. There should be more 🔦💡🕯️lighting. It would be even better. They would earn even more 💰💰💰money. The TV is loud 😇on the bar counter. There are some downsides and some upsides. A good varied menu, fast service, and a fantastic 👍waitress who is as excellent as ever with smile on the face“
