I ordered the tempura combo and was very impressed with what I got. The tempura was light and crispy and the rice was perfectly cooked (some very old comments mention mushy rice but I can say that my rice was cooked to perfection).

When dining in here, you must realize that it is only being run by 2 people, so you may wait a while to get your food as they fill takeout orders; but the food is well worth the wait!“

“I tried this restaurant today and loved it. The fish and octopus were super fresh so I highly recommend trying anything with seafood in it. We also had a mushroom tofu dish, a couple of salads, and the strawberry tapioca dish and everything was so flavorful. A plus is the space which was really pretty and in such a nice location. I am glad to have discovered this gem of a restaurant and am definitely coming back!“

“The food at Café Mami was good, but the service was truly exceptional. The lady working there was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was as pleasant as possible. One downside is that the restaurant is quite small, with only two or three tables, so on a busy day, you might expect a long wait. However, the overall experience was very enjoyable, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.“

“The sushi was delicious, but the price is not for the faint of heart! A nice treat, and the best quality fish I've had outside of Japan. Chef Mike worked diligently to deliver a great experience. “We actually showed up in the area to eat somewhere else for lunch, but it was closed so stumbled into here blind. Boy were we lucky!

It has a very unassuming entrance, so unassuming I walked past it at first, but it belies a very pleasant, very atmospheric little restaurant in the back. I ordered the two roll lunch special with Spicy Roll and an Autumn roll (the last being a recommendation from the server). It came with some miso soup of course, and I also ordered some tagedashi tofu as an app.

I’d go meal by meal, but I’d repeat myself. It was all delicious in very different ways. The tagedashi was so savory and delicious. The spicy roll was a little combustible punch of flavor while the autumn roll was subtle and sweet. All of it just really really delicious. Even the miso soup was unusually good.

The only thing I’d complain about was that the green tea was not particularly to my liking. But that’s nothing compared to how across the board great everything else was. Service was lovely and unobtrusive. Just an all around great experience. Can’t recommend more highly.“

All of the sushi options are top tier and the yakitori is delicious—especially when the head chefs are in the kitchen. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL, literally the friendliest staff I’ve have ever consistently encountered. They are also dog-friendly on their patio and treat our dog with love by all knowing his name and bringing him water every time. On the occasions that we leave him home, they ask about him when we sit inside. They’re really such a great establishment!“

But the store has a good selection of grab-and-go items from sushi, to drinks, to other merch like soy sauce and snacks.FOOD:~Chef's Sampler (5/5) and Signature Set (5/5): each of these sets came with 5 pieces of nigiri, and they were all so good. Each of them were topped with a unique seasoning/sauce, and they accompanied each of the fish so well!Salmon don (5/5): came with a great assortment of salmon, all of it very fresh (salmon belly was my fave). But the star of this dish to me was the ikura and the cucumbers. SO DELICIOUSGreat quality sushi, great portions, delicious flavors, and affordable prices! Definitely a must visit!“

Our server/bartender, Niles, was amazing, patient with our group and very knowledgeable, and helped us choose some great drinks.
