“The food at Oye Restaurant Bar & Grill was good for the most part, but could gave been more flavorful. We did enjoy the GF calamari and the sushi boat. The service was friendly and welcoming.
The only downside was the ambience. The lighting was much too dim for our liking, making the space feel a bit too gloomy, and the restaurant was quite empty when we visited, which affected the overall atmosphere. With brighter lighting and a livelier vibe, the dining experience would be even better.

We did appreciate that they have a separate gluten-free menu!“

“Cafe Mami is a neighborhood gem. We've been coming here for years to enjoy their variety of Japanese comfort food. They have probably the best curry in Boston. Love the depth of great fruity curry flavor with their pork and chicken katsu and hamburger. Their gyudon has crispy sliced beef and beansprouts. Couple of our favorites are the Nininku chicken and beef tofu sets. Sauces are great and free refills on rice. They offer great value and quality. Staff is friendly and efficient. So happy they are still in the neighborhood after all these years.“

“What an experience my wife and I had last night at Akame! Each piece of sushi had in-season Japanese fish, along with very inventive toppings, some of which were a surprise, but none detracted from the the fish, but added flavor and texture. Quite the experience! Enjoyed all of the sushi, with my favorites being the uni, the scallop and and the salmon. The A-5 wagyu and the fois gras courses were a surprise also and both were excellent. Rather than the accompanying sake course, my wife and I opted for 2 different 300ml Junmai Daiginjos. The only thing better than the meal was talking with Chef Mike and how he learned his trade and how he puts these courses together. Looking forward to coming back in a few months to have the seasonal winter Japanese fishes.“

The dishes are unique, tasty, and well prepared. You need to have your entire present to be seated and they do not take reservations as there are few tables. The larger group I saw about six people. It's not a large place and has a very minimalist feel with the decor.“

“Must-try the sashimi here!! We ordered the Sakura box with miso soup, sushi, sashimi, scallops, octopus, and crabmeat salad for 2 people. “This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for a decade. It’s convenient, fast, and immaculate. The sushi is made right in front of you and has always been fresh and delicious. I’ve gone there on date night and I’ve had office parties there and it’s always been awesome. As good as the food is, the staff is better. Especially Tiffany who does everything here including cooking, taking orders, bartending, and making everyone feel like their family. The first time I went there she waited on our table. 6 months later I came back for the second time. She it only remembered my name, she also remembered every dish we’d ordered the first time. I wish I could give Tiffany and Sei Bar 10 stars.“

I had the short rib ramen, the pork belly baos, and a couple sushi rolls. The ramen rocked. Great broth! We are excited to try others. The baos were also good. The only reason why I'd say 4 stars over 5 is that the sushi is just fine. It's not bad, but there are a lot of sushi options in the area. Comparatively, they weren't my favorite, but they also weren't bad.

I'll definitely be going back for more of that ramen and to try others items on the menu!“

“Tunami is a hidden treasure. Tucked away in Belmont Center, Tunami serves up amazing food. The Fish Tacos are great. The Grilled Salmon is great. The Sushi slays. The Pad Thai is amazing, and there is no extra cost for adding shrimp or chicken. Each time we order from Tunami we try something new. And each time we are wowed.

“got takeout, went home and egg foo yong had no gravy on it. Called them up and told them about that. Not even two minutes later the woman called back and stated that's the way they make it! I have had this numerous times and there was always brown gravy on it and in container! She was very argumentative. For that reason , we will not be going back! DO BETTER!“

“Do not expect something fancy here but delicious sushi and reasonable price. Clean. Attentive staff, they know exactly what they are doing. All you can eat deal was great. No parking lot but easy to find a street parking. Would definitely return when in town.

The previous review was in 2021. And I have still been Nijiya’s regular…. until recently. Sushi buffet is very challenging concept between quality and the price. If the quality meets the price, then customers repeat visits. I appreciate Nijiya every visit and do not intend to leave a bad review. However, upon recent visits, the fishes were cut as if they were ready to throw into a pond to feed other fishes. They were plated carelessly. I lost my appetite before even touching the food. I visit less often and it’s been five months since.“

“As someone who has had the privilege of dining at some extraordinary Chinese and Japanese restaurants around the world, from Hong Kong to Tokyo to Manhattan, I can say without hesitation that this is the finest Chinese and Japanese food in all of Massachusetts. We even brought our chef Tracy here one evening. She’s worked in several Michelin-starred kitchens and spent years cooking in private estates and luxury hotels. And she was completely blown away.
