“my friends and I had dinner here, tried the chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and dal makhni with garlic naan. very rich, balanced flavors. my friend (who is from india) enjoyed the authenticity of the dishes and the quality of the palak paneer. staff were very attentive and kind. decoration is beautifully done and the bathroom + space is very clean. they also gave us complimentary elaneer payasam at the end of the meal. interested in coming back here for their $15 lunch special (curry + 2 appetizers) one day

“My family has been going to Little India for years now and it’s been a staple for us. We would always go here around Thanksgiving/Winter Break season growing up. The food and staff are amazing. Everything on the menu is good and the buffet is amazing. We always tend to get the chicken tikka masala, sag paneer but most recently we went and got the fish pakoras and fish masala and it’s become a new favorite. Please, please, please keep this place alive and well. It’s worth a spot checking out.“

“I just want to start off by saying that this was the best Indian food that I have tried in a long time. We ordered the Kashmiri Goat Madras which came with rice and we also got garlic naan. Let me just say it was devoured within seconds, it was that good. 10/10 recommend! The service was really nice, all the workers were also very welcoming. I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional. I only interacted with one staff member, but the service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I highly recommend you try their food. I'll definitely be coming back. “My friend and I stopped in here yesterday since he had recommended it. They start you off with complimentary papadam which comes with a mint chutney, tamarind sauce and a tomato chutney. The papadam was thin and crispy plus the chutneys and sauce it came with were delicious. I also got a mango, mint and ginger lassi which was so good and refreshing!

I ordered the lamb biryani with raisins and nuts and a side of garlic naan for my meal. I was amazed by the portion sizes. It came in a literal cauldron! The other half is in my fridge right now which I will eat for dinner. The biryani was seasoned well and the crispy garlicky naan paired perfectly with it. The raisins gave it a hint of sweetness which was perfect and it also came with a yogurt sauce which helped tie everything together.

The staff were also super friendly and I liked the location. I would recommend checking out if you are in the area. There is also Winthrop Park right across the street which is a great spot to hang out and relax in after such a good meal.“

“Vaisakhi is the breath of fresh air that the restaurant scene in this little corner of Brighton and all of Cleveland Circle needs. Finally a sit down, casual Indian place that's reasonably priced and doesn't require half an hour each way on the T to get to! Even on their first day open, their food is better than several of the Indian restaurants in the Boston area that I've eaten at. Tucked away across from the Sutherland Road T stop, you can follow your nose to the doorstep of the restaurant. The interior tastefully restrained, bright colors and some simple paintings above the booths. The space is small, but not cramped and the booth seating at least was very comfortable. The three gentlemen who own/run the front of the house are eager to please. We were seated right away and given water and menus. The menu is comprehensive without being too large and confusing. The vegetarian, and meat sections are both equally sized, so there's plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My wife and I started out with the vegetable pakoras. These little fritters of batter and veggies were served hot, with a little bit of salty spice powder and dipping sauces. The crunchy shell pairs nicely with the soft veggies inside and tastes amazing when you put a bit of the red onion chutney on it. For our main course we ordered the saag paneer and the dal makhani, two of our favorite vegetarian dishes in Indian cuisine. The dal makhani was subtle, not overly spiced and not overly rich like many I've had. The lentils weren't rock hard or cooked into mush. The star of the show was definitely the saag paneer though. The saag was so wonderfully rich and smooth and spiced perfectly, and the paneer was the perfect texture, not too soft and mushy and now dry and crumbly. We decided to leave room for some desert and tried both the gulab jamun and the kheer. The kheer was a bit under seasoned for my taste, not enough rose water or cardamom and a bit on this thin side, but it served as a nice palate cleanser. The gulab jamun was excellent, the syrup not too sweet or floral and the balls had a nice subtle flavor to them as well. I'm lucky enough to live right around the corner from Vaisakhi, but I would gladly travel a lot further for this food.“

Not only were they able to customize the seasoning to fit everyone’s preferences, but they also customized the menu specifically for our event. The two gentlemen running the truck were incredibly kind, professional, and friendly throughout the entire experience. The food was amazing, and they helped make our event extra special. “Madras Dosa Company, or “MDC” as we lovingly call it, is a comfort spot I would go to every day if I could. I’ve been going here for years now, bringing many different friends and family, with the utmost confidence that it will hit the spot each and every single time. The paneer canteen sandwich is my personal favorite (the chips and sauce accompany the sandwich so perfectly 👌🏾), but I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten including the potato sandwich, all of the chaats, dosas, vadas (the rasam is so flavorful and reminds me of home), and of course the many and salt lassis. I cannot say enough positive things about the lovely people who work here, who always greet me and my others warmly and welcomingly, and they even recognize me and my orders now (and that’s not just because I’m a frequent customer)! The atmosphere is also so warm, with Bollywood and Hollywood classics playing in the background and cool interior decoration. It’s also such a plus that MDC is open late so it satisfies that late night craving while being insanely yummy. The fact that I still bring close and new friends here these many years later shows how much confidence I have in the quality and warmth of MDC, and I hope this can continue for many years to come!!“

Perhaps not the most traditional style of Indian food (mix and match of starch, proteins, sauces), but, Oh Lord, did it hit the SPOT. Don't judge a book by its cover I would say. Try them out! “I love Indian food and Singh's Cafe has the best Indian food in the state. They had stopped their luncheon buffet, they have recently resumed the buffed. I can't tell you how happy I was.. Everything is great. The Tiki masala, lamb, vegetable dishes are incredible. The samosas are killer.. There isn't a bad dish there.. The atmosphere is warm and there has never been a wait. There is plenty of street parking right in front. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and the prices are quite reasonable, $15 for the all you can eat lunch buffet. I always get some to bring back to my wife, she also thinks it's the best Indian food.“
