“I flew home to Boston from Milwaukee to surprise my mum for her 70th birthday. We had about 14 people and had one of the best dining experiences I think I’ve ever had. I believe our waitress name was Conchetta and she was so unbelievable. Amazing personality and made my entire family feel so great from the moment we got there.Food was fantastic, atmosphere was fun upbeat and inviting. We were the last people to leave tonight (I had no idea they closed at 9pm) and Conchetta was so great about it being my mum’s birthday and making sure she had a memorable experience.I have never been here before but I can’t wait to come back next time I’m home (probably June)Thank you again.“

“Got takeout. Good food takes time, so be patient-- The wait is worth it. The lobster raviolis $29 were stuffed with lobster. The sauce was delicious with perfectly cooked portobello mushrooms. Spumoni $13 was delicious as well. The mini ciabatta that accompanied the entree was crispy on the outside and soft & chewy on the inside--perfect. The restaurant was packed on a Mon evening. “I have not been to Fiorella's for several years, but in the past we used to go every weekend after the theater. Food is excellent and the staff friendly. “I went here like 10 years ago, then happen to revisit it tonight. All i can say is EXCELLENT all around: meal, service, atmosphere. I had the eggplant parm w spaghetti. And a bowl of minestrone soup...very tastey, not salty. The staff should be applauded and recognized for their friendly personalities and hard work!! Its a quaint atmosphere too. “Saturday date night with my wife. We didn't have a reservation but wanted to try it after seeing it on the phantom gourmet. The staff was very accommodating and got us seated right away. At first we ended up at the bar and enjoyed the Italian wedding soup and some arancini. Later they were able to move us to a table after a no-show reservation.For my main course I had the Pollo con crema and my wife had the vegetable risotto. Both dishes were excellent and we had enough leftover to take home.For dessert I had the Iris which is a fried donut stuffed with fresh ricotta and lemon zest. My wife enjoyed a pistachio canoli.Price was reasonable but there is a charge for paying with a card. The building is beautiful and the bathroom was spotless. Can't wait to go again.“

“I've been going to Mario's for probably 20 years and for standard, economical Italian fare it can't be beat. No reservations taken; in Lexington you go to the sign-in book, put down your name and the # in your party, and wait to be called. Long time customers know the best times to go to get seated right away; be prepared to wait most weekends at dinner time. I've sampled several things on the menu and my go-tos are either chicken parm with meat sauce (you can get everything marinara if you prefer) served with shells (you can choose spaghetti if you prefer) or pizza (best sauce ever) loaded with sausage, extra cheese, onions and black olives. All the portions are plentiful (I always take half home for leftovers) and always tasty. I've had the lasagna, which is huge but lacking in enough sauce for me (I'd order extra sauce if I were to get it again) and the ravioli which I have no complaints about. Bread is served to the table in the form of fresh rolls. I often get a side salad for dinner and did so last night. It's usually fresh and tasty but for some reason at 5pm the salad I served was limp and tasteless. Maybe left over from another day? The service is impeccable. The waitstaff take orders, deliver to tables, keep track of who's waiting to be seated and deliver them to a table when one becomes available. Orders are taken quickly, food is delivered hot. Fun fact: often during the summer students on vacation are working there, which makes for fun small talk. As you can imagine Mario's appeals to everyone; families, couples, singles, so don't expect a quiet, romantic ambiance where you can have a leisurely meal and a private discussion. When full the place is very lively. There is a large metered parking lot (2 hr max) directly behind the restaurant and a larger one behind that if you want to, say, also go to the Lexington Venue (movie theater) or visit the many shops in Lexington Center.“
“For our date-night we chose to return to Da Vinci Waltham, and were not disappointed. We like to sit side-by-side, and Da Vinci takes reservations for bar seating, so that suited us well. The efficient and friendly bartender took great care of us as we made our way through Caprese (*truly* delectable cheese!), Scampi (the pasta was a wow, and plump shrimp completed the dish nicely) lamb chops (very delicate flavor, bountiful portion with a full meat/potato/vegetable dinner) and pistachio cannoli for dessert. Everything was delicious, and served timely but unhurried in the order we requested. Modest noise level was fine (though sometimes they have large parties that can get a bit raucous). Wines by the glass did not disappoint, especially the lovely Sangiovese we had with the lamb.“

“Not so hidden Waltham gem, with an interior reminiscent of an Italian country villa. The well-appointed outdoor terrace houses 6 tables that can seat about 20, making it ideal for groups and small parties. The interior comprises several cozy micro spaces that provide a feel of being a guest in a friend's Tuscan home. We started with an Arancini (a Sicilian street food made of risotto that's rolled into a ball, stuffed, breaded, and gently fried) wrapped on prosciutto and on a pillow of Mozzarella. Delicious. Next came a risotto with pan-seared scallops, shrimp, yellow and red cherry tomatoes, and lobster stock. Joyous. We tried a special of the evening: Fresh crab ravioli with marscapone and Parmegiani, lobster sauce and pea tendrils. I found this to be relatively bland and was the only true disappointment of the evening. The pièce de résistance was the next dish: Salt encrusted whole Bronzini, wood over roasted, accompanied by a "teeny" green and French pear salad, and whole roasted garlic. $36 and worth every penny. On the gratuitous side, I'd recommend the hot chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate ganache, which must be ordered a bit in advance. It held its shape, and will tickle your sweet tooth; very worth busting one's diet. Ask for Tim, one of the most accomplished waiters in the northeast, who won't disappoint in terms of service and knowledge. Overall, we enjoyed the execution of Campania's creative menu, its knowledgeable and attentive wait staff, and the warm, inviting decor. La Campania comes close to delivering on all the elements of a Michelin star establishment.“

“First time customers, all 9 of us. Despite having a large party, our waitress, Ruth, took excellent care of us. As did the kitchen. We ordered cocktails, wine, appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts- a wide sampling of the menu. Everyone raved about their food, that is was quiet so we could hear each other, that the service was quick and accurate, and that the portions were huge. All got to enjoy their meals a second time (Ruth wrapped our leftovers for each of us). We all agreed that we will be back.“

While the store's atmosphere is aging and in need of a little pick me up , it's nice that they make fresh pasta and have a selection of other Italian corner store goods for purchase. I got a deli meats sandwich (not an Italian). The meat was cut in front of me on a slicer and fresh , but I found the sandwich a bit salty, even for deli meat (maybe the bread or the meat ?) . Great service and a nice local business , even if the food I sampled wasn't at the top. I'd bet the pasta and the eggplant parm are great here. Maybe next time“

“After checking in the hotel in Waltham, Massachusetts the front desk provided a list of all, and I mean all the restaurants in the area. In settling for a choice we chose Charcoal Guidos on Moody Street. Fearful that a Friday night would be very busy, we were pleasantly surprised to be given a table right away. Service was prompt, professional and pleasant from the attendant providing water and then Juan who provided great service through the meal. Arancini was tasty, mussels in a tomato broth pleasing, and the gnocchi with a bolognese plentiful and very good. Overall just a very good meal from start to finish. Kudos to Juan for making sure we were happy with our meal without perching at our table the whole time. Recommend this place for anyone seeking excellent Italian food in a pleasant setting.“
“I've been coming here for a while now, but a recent event impassioned me to leave this review.Let me start by saying that firstly, the food here is ALWAYS delicious and cooked to perfection. Never have I ever received something done badly, spilled, or over/undercooked.Secondly and lastly, the employees and manager here are very kind and understanding. Today, I put in an online order for a pizza, but through either my error or my phone's internet connection error, my comment of "no mushrooms please!" did not attach to the order. When I arrived, my order had mushrooms on and I told them that I had put "no mushrooms." Without fuss, I was told that they would make another pizza for me right away. While I was waiting, I realized that the comment did not attach for some reason, and quickly apologized for my error. They were entirely understanding and even let me keep the second pizza free of charge!This interaction of them "honoring" MY error was wonderful and will keep me coming back for a long time! Combine that with the fact that I heard they give free pizzas to the elementary school students nearby, I gotta say that this restaurant has become one of my favorite places to come to. The garlic bread was tasty, buttery, and extremely cheesy. We got a cheese pizza that had just the right amount of crunch and cheese with a flavorful sauce. The buffalo chicken calzone was great as well, hot and cheesy with a perfect ratio of ingredients. Both had large portions and were cheap for the amount of food. I can wholeheartedly recommend the fried haddock with extra crispy fries or the grilled steak and chicken combo with crispy fries plus a side of their tasty rice! “Everyone in town loves Kosta's: A family owned business with consistently good food. I frequently get the Greek salad with their incredible fresh pita bread. Delicious! The Greek chicken wrap is also a favorite. Kosta's family is running it now and carrying on his tradition of good food at reasonable prices. Sure prices have increased in the last few years (where haven't ithey), but quality continues to be the best in town. It's a cash business but if you forget, there is an ATM in the restaurant now. Lunch can be busy but they know how to move quickly so you are not left waiting long. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Kosta's!“
