“So glad we found this place!! Love the kimchi fritas with bulgogi beef, reminds us of our favorite place in Houston. The tteokbokki was standard goodness (a biiiit spicy and no fishcakes) but the tempura-ish seaweed on top was SOOO good. And the chicken taco was delicious!! The owner was very nice and doesn't speak a lot of English.“
“This is my favorite place to get Mexican food. Everything I’ve had is delicious, but my favorite is the carnitas bowl. I love that they have agua fresca! Achilitos is also a great option for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-sensitive with everything clearly marked and lots of options.Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians and vegans!“
“Great fast/casual restaurant. Low-key atmosphere. We got 4 tacos and the avocado fries. The avocado fries had breading that wasn't that exiting, but it came with a cilantro ranch that was wonderful. I got the vegetable taco, my husband got the pork belly taco and we each got a pastor taco. Each were very good. Excited to try some different tacos next time! There were many other types to choose from. The service was prompt. We had a nice meal and a nice time today. I'd love to try some of the tasty sounding beverages they had on the menu next time. Will certainly go back. The restaurant is in the Norwood center area - it doesn't have it's own parking, but there is quite a bit of street parking and a lot of public lots within walking distance.“
“So I tried this place a few months back and I took one bite and gave it to a homeless guy. However I decided to give it a 2nd shot. I must say very impressed. The guacamole and rice needs more flavor but overall the rice bowl was on point. There was only one guy working (which I feel is a little bit of abuse especially were this is located in the heart of symphony & Berkelee College.) The line was out the door and the guy was handling online orders, in store orders and ringing them up. He deserves a raise for real! He did all of this with such ease and greeted us all with a smile.“
“Came here for the vegan options and was satisfied. Pleasantly surprised even. Love that they label the vegan items on the menu and that their refried beans are vegan. I got a bowl and my hubby got a burrito, and we left happy. ??Parking: Parking in the neighborhood is extremely limited. I recommend taking public transportation.“
“I simply loved it. Was visiting my friend in Boston and we went there on Sunday. I loved the nachos that they great you with as soon as you are seated ... yummy with the sauce. You can get as much as you want ( but don't fill your stomach before you get your food ) ??? nice and smiling staff. Ready to help but some don't speak English. One waiter was nice but didn't bring me a fork for like 15 minutes, had to go and ask for it myself. Bathrooms relatively clean. Liked the food but it was my mistake regarding what I ordered, just made the wrong choice compared to what I expected. I will go there again for sure.Ohhh i was about to forget???????? make sure you order the guacamole yummy yummy yummy.. HUGE portion and the nice thing is that they are generous with their portions.“
“Very small space, but the decor is cute. There are only three tables, so not good for large parties. I recommend taking to-go. The bulgogi beef burrito is my favorite. The sauces are good, and it is filling. I haven’t been here in years, so I am not sure if the quality is the same.“
“Had heard about this place for years, so glad to finally try it, and also that it lived up to its rep. First and foremost, delicious margs here, and plenty of mezcal, if you are into that. I order birria any time I see it on a menu, and Lone Star delivered; it was wonderfully fatty and rich. A surprise for me though was how good the grilled avocado taco was. I'm not sure I've ever had avocado not raw, but it was downright fantastic - their salsa verde is great in general, so that paired quite well. Certainly a fun spot, and the patio out back for nice weather sure doesn't hurt (although not much of a view).“
“Reserved two seats for one of their live music nights. Worth it! Pulled up in Stoughton at Toffee. The outside is inviting with its script and neon chocolate signage. Stepped in expecting a greeting but had to walk to the back for the hostess. We were seated in a prime location facing the bar and live music area. Service was great, moktails were tasty. Other drinks around me looked appealing. Heard that the bartender can make anything to your liking. Next time!! Food menu isn't that grand, the draw is the bar and live music. Flatbread was cheesy good but the crabmeat balls were just OK. Chicken Caesar salad wrap and chips looked good, not huge but satisfying. Worth the drive from Providence for drinks and snack food. Love that it's black-owned. The atmosphere is fantastic with a cute lounge area by the door and ample seating for groups & couples. Like I said it's all about the bar. The lighting is fantastic and the decor electrifying.“
“fantastic food and service, speedy ordering process, and friendly staff! you can't ask for a better experience. there are sooo many options to choose from and everything is fresh and delicious. i got the torta and was so happy to find out that you can add plantains as a topping! that and everything is very affordable. perfect for our group, as we had a timed museum exhibit to get to at the mfa. all around, i would highly recommend mamacita!“
“We stopped by for lunch to celebrate our son's birthday with some friends, 5 people all together. We didn't need reservations and were treated by a very sweet, caring, and efficient staff. And the food was delicious authentic Mexican food. We are still dreaming about the delicious flautas! We enjoyed the fried ice cream and churros for dessert. We look forward to returning when we're in the area.“
“A small little spot for a quick Mexican bite. Portions are good. I'd hoped my burrito came with some chips on the side like most other places do, but at least the burrito was filling. Had my burrito had just 15-20% more steak I would've given max stars. All in all still very good. I placed my order in English and my parents were able to place theirs in Spanish just as easily thanks to the bilingual staff. It's a small thing, but I appreciate it!“
“Eating chimichanga for the first time. Seasoned just right, the roast meat was great, as were the beans. Detail of the sour cream on top of the lettuce added the finishing touch. Food well prepared, 5 minutes very well waited. Very simple but extremely welcoming environment. Excellent service, very friendly.“
“We didn't know what to expect from Pakistani Mexican cuisine but, damn, it was delicious! The staff was so kind, making us feel so welcome. We ordered the butter chicken, samosas, cheese naan (pretty much a less greasy quesadilla) and the mango lassi (mmmm that was a good mango lassi). Would go back - both for the food and the experience. Thanks!“
“Food was great. We ordered a few different things; nachos, biria tacos, and a few different pupusas. Only issue with the food was the pupusas were very mushie and fell apart instantly (still delicious). Another little issue was, there was a group of what seemed to be homeless people who were in and out throughout our dining. They kept saying they were waiting for their food, bit it was obvious they were not. All that aside, I really liked everything.“
“Went here for bottomless brunch…absolutely delicious at a price you can’t beat. Service is friendly and quick, while the ambiance is pretty uncrowded and relaxing. I would highly recommend the French Toast, Molettes, and Chicken + Waffles. Plates are small which adds to the fun of unlimited ordering. Makes for a great morning!“
“This may be the best Mexican restaurant in Boston. Do yourself a favor and try this place! Had the nopalitos, fajitas, tostada, and sike marga + chips and salsa. It was all fantastic! Our server was also very attentative, nice, and let us try a bite of several things we were considering. Thank you for a great meal!“
“Came here after seeing a movie and wanted to try a burrito! It was actually really delicious and the customer service was amazing! I’m always skeptical of Mexican food in Boston especially being from California but this place didn’t disappoint, Will definitely be returning!“
“Service is both friendly and efficient, but what I'm really here to say is that this is the best lunch value in the entire Longwood/Fenway area, and a fantastic vegan option. Built my own small bowl today: brown rice, fajita veggies, roasted broccoli, corn salsa, tofu, black beans, jalapeno salsa--10 bucks. This is an extraordinary value, and I feel well fed but not grossly full after.“
“I came here for an event so it was just our group there. We sat at the bar and one of our party got their food a bit later but it was hectic having a big group there rather than usual diners. As a Texan, paying $7 for a taco is a bit crazy but these were genuinely delicious. My favorite was the Queso Carne because of the onion and bacon jam. However, the meat in both tacos was tender and flavorful. The food was delicious and it seems like a cute spot to visit again!“
“This place has truly amazing food. At least, the Barrira tacos are amazing. Had them twice and the were truly excellent both times. It's a bit of a hole otherwise. Set up like a Chipotle sort of. No table service. Get your own water and napkins. The decor is interesting. The food is good though, and that matters most.“
“Fire fire fire fire. Best birria around. Every monday I go here for lunch. Its hands down my favorite spot. Guys are super friendly make great food have good drinks. And the prices are great. Ingredients are fresh and never disappoint. Go here.“
“Best mexican food in Boston. We tried the quesadillas and the tortas, both are amazing. We only got a photo of the beef torta though. But the cochinita pibil and steak quesadillas were great too.The service was amazing. They went above and beyond and were super friendly.Incredible food, atmosphere and service. 10/10 would reccommend. I recommend dining in, the decoration and vibes are great too.“
“Hit the spot! I stopped by after some shopping and had the carnitas quesadilla. It was the perfect portion and it also came with pico de gallo, sour cream and guac. The service was fast too, I only had to wait a few minutes and this was around 1130 so they were getting quite busy. Very small place, most people were doing take out. They have some outdoor tables too. I'll defiantly be back next time I'm in the area!“
“Great fresh Food!!!Try the pupusas, yum! They stuff them with enough ingredients and give it flavor. My family loved the pupusas & their strawberry banana smoothies?.The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice and provides great service!!! Totally worth it!!! Thank you?“
“Love this place, must-visit if you’re in the area. Was there this past Saturday at 11:45AM just before the Boston College football game. Walked right in and ordered. If you go after the game lines are literally out the door. My favorite is the caramelos but they might be too spicy for some.“
“Must eat here! Food and service are both excellent. The best hands down in house made guacamole and salsa. Pupusas, sweet plantains and the Montanero are personal favorites. The whole menu is great and you can't go wrong with any of these dishes. If you are looking for delicious, authentic food, then look no further than Taqueria El Carrizal!“
“Good prices, cheaper than most places you go to, calm atmosphere, had the soccer game on, just a nice little neighborhood food spot. Gives a nice friendly vibe. Has a few cute little arcade machines and even a coin-pusher machine, which you don't see often. Really nice to stop in at while I'm waiting for my laundry to finish up at rossmore maytag.“
“Doesn't get much better than Chilacates on Mission Hill. Great food, though prices seem to increase upon every visit. It's hard to turn down a papas con chorizo torta from here at any cost. Long waits can sometimes be a bother, especially when the store isn't busy, but ordering ahead of time solves everything.“
“Roxanne's Taqueria offers an exceptional blend of flavors in their burritos and bowls. The freshness of ingredients, generous portions, and vibrant sauces make every bite a delightful experience. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance add to the overall positive dining experience. Highly recommended for a satisfying and flavorful Mexican food fix!“
“The main dishes were average. The chips, salsa, and guac were all solid. The portion sizes were oddly small. I received a tiny serving of rice and an even smaller serving of beans with my food. Our waters stayed full the entire time.I ordered the carne Asada, which I ordered medium rare. It arrived medium-well, and I wasn’t sure whether it was intentional or not. The flavors were good, but frankly, not great. The enchilada that came on my plate had a highly overcooked filling of white meat chicken. I would have expected thigh or otherwise more careful cooking.Parking: Extremely busy downtown street parking, or expensive garage parking is available.Wheelchair accessibility: No accessibility here. Several stairs to enter, narrow pathways, and cramped interior. No elevator to be found.“
“I’m not a fan of eating at the same restaurant but this is one of the very few exceptions. I dream about the nachos and veggie chili. I have never once had a bad experience and the margaritas? My absolute favorite margaritas , especially the strawberry basil flavor. If you want a margarita that feels like drinking two in one get the nitro margarita! There’s something for everyone and the staff is so kind“
“The holiday margaritas were amazing to start, my boyfriend said wow about 6x while eating the calamari which was breaded IN HOUSE which definitely gives you the WOWZA feeling, I ordered the sautéed lobster roll and he ordered the blackened fish. And WOW the lobster roll was the best I've ever had EVER, it just melted in your mouth and paired with garlic butter and toasted bread MUAH perfectooo also came with sweet potato fries. The blackened fish came with sausage and shrimp with a creole sauce and it was gone in seconds.. we were so happily full after. Talked about the food alllll the way home and how great it was!! Service was also soo great, our server was so sweet and recommended just about every single thing we ordered!“
“✷---PURPLE. CARUS IS A FOOD PLACE..NOT A HOTEL!!!----✷❥- My mom literally gets Purple Catus •••EVERYDAY!!! ••& MY brother gets it at least 2-3 times a WEEK!!! SOOO MANY OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE! THE PPL THAT WORK THERE ARE LITERALLY JUST SOOO AMAZING..✷ •• SOPHIE ••. & •• AMANDA •• ✷Food & drinks: Amazing ?“
“One of the best burritos I’ve ever had recommend this if you want any food and suits anyone.Vegetarian options: The options are very varied between meat and veggies.Dietary restrictions: Only so many restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Any kid would love it here.“
“I stumbled upon Naco Taco truck when I was waiting for an appointment on Newbury Street that I arrived early for. I ordered a couple of tacos not so much because I was hungry but just because I needed to kill time. I was blown away with the flavor, freshness and value.I ended up calling and asking if they did private truck rentals - and sure enough they did! I was STOKED at how well Naco Taco went over with my party. It was a High School Graduation for 150 people and EVERYONE raved about the food: Greatest thing was, hard to tell who loved it more..... the kids or the adults! The Cod and Shrimp Tacos were surprise hits but all of them and the sides were amazing. A bin of iced Jarittos and other sodas was a nice touch along with warm, friendly service....what more could you ask for?I guess the only disappointment was how good the food was. I mean, my grill and meats are usually the star of the show.....and I'm not lying - they were amazing that day LOL - but most of the props went out to Naco Taco.I will definitely use them again for a future function and if you are in the neighborhood of the truck on Newbury, their restaurant in Cambridge or the food hall in Boston...I suggest you run and not walk to get there - just great food!“
“El Jefe's Taqueria in Boston has top-notch burritos and a variety of other delicious Mexican dishes. The cozy atmosphere, good service, and quick service make it a must-visit spot. Highly recommended.Full Review:El Jefe's Taqueria in Boston exceeded my expectations with its fantastic selection of Mexican cuisine. While the tacos and other dishes are undoubtedly delicious, it was the burrito that stole the show for me.As a self-proclaimed burrito aficionado, I can confidently say that El Jefe's burrito was one of the best I've ever had. The flavors were bold and delicious, and each bite was a delightful blend of ingredients. I opted for the classic carne asada filling, and it did not disappoint. The meats were well-seasoned, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The Jarritos soda was a perfect accompaniment to my meal, adding a refreshing touch to the experience. To cap off the meal, I tried the Spanish flan (which some of you may know as crème caramel, flan, caramel pudding, condensed milk pudding or caramel custard) for the first time along with having my first ever Jarritos, and it was a delightful end to the meal. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly complemented by the caramel sauce, it was a fitting conclusion to a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere with just the right amount of seating. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, and the food was prepared quickly without compromising on quality.El Jefe's Taqueria is a must-visit for anyone craving great Mexican flavors in Boston. Whether you're a burrito enthusiast like me or just looking for a delicious meal, this place has something for everyone. Highly recommended.Note: My burrito was hearty and delicious. So much so that I forgot to take a picture and scarfed it down, and I took a consolation picture of my flan and soda instead.“
“I can't say enough good things about Fuego in Norwood! This local gem has quickly become my go-to spot for delicious, casual burritos, and I couldn't be happier to have it in my neighborhood.First and foremost, let's talk about the fact that Fuego is not your typical chain like Chipotle. While I appreciate the convenience of chains, there's something incredibly special about supporting a local establishment that puts heart and soul into their food. But what really sets Fuego apart is their exceptional customer service. On one recent visit, my family ordered our usual burritos, and they went above and beyond by throwing in some rice and beans for our toddler at no extra charge. It's these little local touches that make a big difference and keep us coming back for more. The location of Fuego couldn't be better either. Being close to the Norwood Common is a huge plus. It's the perfect spot to grab a quick, satisfying meal before or after enjoying the beautiful green space and events there. As for the food itself, Fuego never disappoints. The burritos are generously filled with fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. Whether you're a carnivore, vegetarian, or anywhere in between, they have a variety of options to suit your taste buds.In summary, Fuego in Norwood deserves all the stars and then some. It's a local treasure that offers top-notch burritos, outstanding customer service, and a convenient location near the Norwood Common. If you're in the area and looking for a fantastic burrito experience, look no further than Fuego!“
“Absolutely amazing ? it's like chipotle but so much better and local. The taste is fresh and authentic. I would recommend 100% if you visiting the area. So amazing and beats chipotle out of the water. They learned how to dominate their competition. Felix the manager and his team were outstanding with their customer service. Would go again.“
“To start off, I was expecting some high level of spice but didn't get much. I guess I'll have to try some of that ghost pepper sauce. The hot salsa wasn't hot at all.But flavor is there and decent! The boneless wings appear to be double fried, very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the Nashville hot had a nice flavor, bit smoky.I lifted the container for the burrito bowl. It was heavy! I look inside and there's layers of barbocoa, good amount, and the flavor of it was also spot on!“
“Love this place. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Boston in 2018 and now that I live outside of the city, I still will make the trip to come here. I always get the el guapo burrito and the plantains. It is perfect every single time. It never misses. We tell anyone that comes to visit to come here so they could love this place as much as we do“
“My waiter was an angel and the chef was God himself. Upon consuming my burrito, I ascended to Heaven. Or maybe it was some place beyond Heaven, a greater place superior to such. Everyone enjoyed their incredible meals. They can make anything upscale and delicious. Will come again a thousand times. :)“
“Great service. Food is pretty damn good and the prices are INSANELY good. This restaurant has extreme value for everyone, whether you're looking for a side or a comple platter. Inside there is plenty of space. The decor is a bit outdated, but the is also very nostalgic to a family style mexican restaurant that most grew up eating from.“
“I've lived around the corner from this place since it opened and haven't given it a try. I am wicked disappointed in myself. This food is FANTASTIC!! I have been going to Anna's for the past 20 years like an idiot. Achilitos is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Anna's. Their menu is wayyyyy bigger than Anna's and everything taste so fresh. I got a surf and turf bowl. The steak was charred but super tender. The shrimp were a decent size and cooked perfectly. My husband got the chorizo burrito and really enjoyed it. Only thing it was missing for him was some texture. He's looking forward to getting the steak burrito next time. I honestly can't wait to go back. I have to give the churro a try. Also, they have brunch on Sunday that looks pretty killer. I'll have to check that out. Eat here. Im serious. It's way better than Anna's and I've been going there for decades.“
“I got the breakfast special which was incredible value. Two 8" tortilla burritos (with generous filling) and home fries for $9. Tasty, and friendly staff. Plus, a whole rack of a variety of hot sauces to try with your meal. Will return if I am in Boston again.“
“Great spot for a quick bite. Never fails to produce a tasty burrito with great additions. I love getting a jumbo spicy steak with the cilantro lime rice and all the other toppings. It's been a weekly staple for my food rotation and I look forward to one of those tasty rolled up packages of goodness every time!“
“Great place to get Burritos very filling and plenty of options to pick from. I've been a few times now and the service is fast and consistent.Parking: There's a paid parking lot behind CVS on Harvard St and then a short walk from there or on street meter parking. Along Beacon St. Both on the inbound and out bound side.“
“Best Local Mexican Food In Newton Just Hard To FindVegetarian options: Good amountDietary restrictions: Very accommodating for my restrictionsParking: Many spots near the placeKid-friendliness: Very friendly went with kidsWheelchair accessibility: Very accessible“
“Been going here on and off for years. The tacos and burritos are the best, but they have good plates too. I’d say probably the best burritos and tacos I’ve had in recent memory, pretty good value for the money even though they had to increase prices in the last two years. I tell everyone to get the beef tongue tacos. They are consistently incredible.“
“This is by far my favorite chipotle. The service was excellent, although they were busy they were still speedy to make my bowl. They were also super generous with my bowl portions and I will definitely be coming back here. Even though there was a trainee making my bowl, it was still made to perfection.“
