Colette Bakery in Melrose has some of the best pastries around! I’m a sucker for chocolate croissants, and the Cho-colette croissant at Colette is so delicious (pro tip, take the croissant home and toss in the air fryer to warm the pastry!)

Servers are all smiles, friendly, attentive, but not hovering.
BEST fish n chips, the fish was so sweet and flavorful and tender and flaky. The slaw was delicious too.

“We had dinner reservations at 6:45 and arrived early. Sat at the bar for a drink and decided to stay there. The bartenders were great !! My martini was to die for. Corey did an excellent job making it. Dinner was delicious. I had the lobster risotto and my partner had a filet. We also had salads and the bread was amazing. We will definitely be back.“

“I cannot say enough about Romano’s Pizza! We originally had inquired about this party to another pizza place and less than 2 weeks before they said they could not do it. We messaged Romano’s and reached out to Paul and they were able to have our small event. We had a graduation party for about 16 people. They allowed us to decorate how we needed, we set up the tables how we liked and cleaned up after ourselves. Pizzas came out in a staggering pace so they where nice and hot! Food was amazing, staff was amazing and you cannot beat their prices on food. I will definitely be ordering food from there more often and consider them for any other small events. There are two steps to enter and leave, but they aren’t big ones.

There are also a few tables and chairs, and everyone was very friendly.

There is street parking out front.

I tried a cake ball and a homemade pop tart which were both yummy.

“La Qchara is such a gem in the area. The food is flavorful, reasonably priced and always hits the spot. I appreciate that they have a variety of breakfast options from pastries to chia pudding to larger dishes like chilaquiles. The tortas are a perfect lunch/dinner option.

And they've always got the pick-up/delivery orders running on time and on point! It's nice considering that most places now are just taquerias that serve the quick burrito/bowl type set up. I got the pozole which was good. Decent amount of chips on the side and overall pretty good. Certainly Arlington is lucky to have this type of restaurant within it especially the details of the interior. I would come back for sure.
