“Went here for dinner on a Sunday, we were the only ones there mainly because it was really cold out, they do take out and delivery orders within 3 km which is pretty good. The restaurant is small but the food was really good, the reviews didn’t lie at all. We ordered the crispy fried chicken, sizzling seafood plate, chicken egg foo yung, Cantonese fried rice, deep fried breaded shrimp and the chow mein. Both the crispy fried chicken and chow mein were just a little bit more on the saltier side but it was still really delicious ! Would come definitely come back again.“

“Solid Chinese restaurant with a mix of dim sum and other regional dishes — food is decent overall. It's a bit pricier and not quite as authentic as I'd hoped, but for the south end of Winnipeg, it's honestly a pretty good option. My former landlord also gave it a fair review, for what it's worth.🥰“

“The highlight was the beef noodles. Great selection of menu options including Cantonese/HK diner dish options.
Friendly service. Gets very busy at times. So busy, they didn't make my third dish and ended up canceling. Limited seating. Would return to try other dishes on the menu.“

“This place is incredible. I've been looking for great Sichuan food for years, since my favorite place in Calgary shut down. Didn't expect to find it in Winnipeg.
The spicy pork noodles were fantastic. The green beans and the shredded potatoes with vinegar are a must. Highly recommend the eggplant as well.
The atmosphere matched most of the best restaurants I went to in China, which is that you're there for the food, not the decor. We were on the side by the kitchen so it wasn't fancy and was a little noisy. But it didn't matter because the food came fast and we were focused on how good it was.
Can't recommend this place enough if you're after incredible Chinese food.“

“I liked their Cantonese fried rice. I’d buy 3 orders every week. Recently they raised the price and the container is now 2/3 full. The next time. They started to cut the pork so fine you can barely see it and absolutely not taste. Someone forgot to put in the salt. That’s two times in a row bad experience after buying from them for over 25 years. If they don’t return to right portions and tasty foods I’ll no longer buy from them.“

“First time trying malatang and I must say it was an enjoyable experience. Staff were super helpful in explaining the process of the hot pot. The ingredients were fresh and there was a huge variety as well. Definetlg recommend trying it out.“

“Last night, we ordered dinner from you through Skip the Dishes. When I looked at our confirmed order, I realized the it wasn't correct. I then called your restaurant, the fellow I spoke to was very kind and reassured me that they would correct the problem eventhough I was quite panicked. When our order arrived it was correct and still hot. Thank you so much for taking care of us. You folks are terrific!“

“The food was great, and the General tso tofu was some of the best tofu I’ve ever eaten! For people who say they don’t like tofu, try this and you’ll be a convert! Super nice staff.“

“Me and my dad literally just finished eating here, we had a few different types of seafood dumplings, mainly shrimp. The ginger beef was exquisite. The pork buns were big and fluffy and delicious and they didn't skimp on the pork. The little custard buns were delicious as usual. We had the mussels in black bean sauce that was pretty tasty. And of course the mango pudding with cream at the end was fantastic. We also had a type of chicken skewer that was too easy to eat. And of course the tea there is fantastic. All around 10 out of 10.“

“Our favourite Chinese restaurant around south pointe. The owner is always very friendly. The portion sizes are great and the food is always consistent for us. I’d recommend the kung po shrimp, Szechuan chicken, china garden chop suey and ginger beef are our go-tos“

“We have ordered take out a few times, and every time it has been EXCELLENT. Generous portion sizes, fresh ingredients and always made in a reasonable amount of time! I love the spicy bbq pork bowl. Service is excellent.
Great food, we will continue to order and would highly recommend!“

“The cheesy baked cutlets over rice are my favourite. Very decent popcorn chicken and a wide range of desserts. I have always liked the desserts. I did try the condensed milk toast and it was quite disappointing. It takes 15 mins to make and $8 for literally condensed milk on toast. I was expecting a bit more design, whip cream and something more (I'm comparing it to the toast dessert at Cafe Lemon tree). I regret not picking a different dessert or at least flavour“

“This is Prairie Chinese food (lemon chicken, Singapore style noodles, ginger beef, sweet & sour veal, chop suey,... you get it) done to perfection. Great prices! Four adults stuffed themselves at lunch and came home for enough food for another meal for under $60, taxes in! The place is meticulously clean, the chef is talented, owner and front & back person is friendly. So, the decor is 70s rec room, it just adds to the authentic charm of stepping back in time when Chinese food was what you'd find in a small Prairie town, portions were generous and prices were more than reasonable. The beef was tender and juicy with just the right amount of ginger and garlic, the lemon chicken was also juicy with a spectacularly crisp breading and the smooth sweet-sour lemon sauce brought back memories of 1960s Lee's Chop Suey.“
