“I have ordered here several times and have always had a great meal, reasonably priced and generous portions.

But the real compliment is on their service. When ordering, I asked if there was any shrimp in the fried rice as there was a shellfish allergy in our group. The answer was no.

But an hour before pickup we get a call warning us that there was shrimp in the Singapore Vermicelli (which I always order and am aware that it contains shrimp,) and is excellent BTW.)

Showed up between the scheduled pick up time and when I went to the counter I noticed the girl had not even submitted my order to the back kitchen. She hastily ran my order to the kitchen. “A large koi aquarium greets you and there is lots of seating options. We went for the lunch buffet. They had a good selection, including meat dishes, veggie dishes and soup. The price was reasonable and service was quick. They took our plates as soon as we were done and made sure our drinks were full. they were replenishing the buffet often with fresh food and the even the chicken balls were crispy. Overall great bang for your buck, enough variety for everyone to find something they like and quick, fast and friendly service (especially if you are lucky enough to have Don serve you)“

“I have never had a meal from them that I didn't enjoy.

They are a pickup/delivery Chinese Food placewith just chairs to sit in until your order is ready.
They have been in this location since at least the early 1980s when I lived about 3 blocks away and basically lived on their food because I was too lazy or too tired to cook after spending the day keeping the computer system running at a Winnipeg clothing manufacturer.
Pretty sure it's not the same people running it but the food is still great and I compare them vs any other chinese restaurant I maybe at.“

“The food you will get will be fresh, abundant, and fast.

You will not find empty space in your containers when you order take out which is very nice. The cost is a bit higher than others but the quality is good.

I do dock points for the restaurant never providing a menu on it's website and/or google maps page. I heard another customer call in upset the total price of food was $20 more than what they read on the menu. The person at the front explained the menu online is out of date, is not expected to be up to date, and the prices change monthly so it is best to come in person before ordering to get the correct prices.
Restaurants in the modern age should provide prices online if they are in the business of selling orders over phone. Which is why I am including a scan of the menu. Something the restaurant should provide each time prices change.

Other than deceptive prices. The honey garlic veal is sweet and plentiful. The orange almond chicken was crispy and both tangy but sweet. And the veggies were fresh not soggy.

If you would rather order in person and wait in person I would recommend here.“

“Delicious dim sum. Friendly staff. Still not open for dining, but they are planning to reopen sometime. We always get the beginner plate, which has shrunk over the years. However, it is a bargain at $7.80! Not a huge jump from $5 about 20 years ago. Next time we will add extra shrimp kow (used to be 4 in the beginner plate, but is 2 now).“

“it is so hard to find vegan chinese food in winnipeg, and this place does it just right.

we got wonton soup, spring rolls, veggie chicken, szechuan beef, deep fried shrimp, gluten balls, and the mixed fried rice.

all the food was prepared very quickly, and made-to-order. everything tasted so amazing and fresh. you can tell each dish was made with care and love. the portions are very big for the price, so there will likely be leftovers to take home.

the service was phenominal, our server was so friendly and made us feel like we were eating dinner at our parents' house.

During my last visit, there was a mix-up with my order pick up times but the host was very kind and apologetic. And the restaurant threw in a few extra goodies to make up for it. “Has been my go-to Chinese food place for years and I can’t see myself going anywhere else unless they close. Great portion sizes for what you pay for. You can get $70 worth of food and it’ll be plenty enough for 6+ people or it’ll last 1-2 people for days. They do offer combinations dishes for $10-15 if you don’t want to get a lot though.

It’s good quality and good tasting dishes too. They also offer a discount if you pay with cash(10% off $50+) and you get a free dish when you spend a certain amount.

There are tables inside however, the way the interior is set up, it’s more for takeout.“

“We had a good dining experience at Golden Loong, the hand pulled noodles have that nice chewy texture to it and the chilli oil adds that fragrant and a bit spicy kick to it, mapo tofu was also good though a tad salty when it was not as hot but perfect with rice, the lamb with pickled veggies in sour broth is perfect in this cold weather, pork bun would have been better if the pork was not so sloppy and the bun should be a bit more toasted on the bottom but otherwise good as well, cucumber in chilli oil is a perfect accompaniment to all of these as it cools down and refreshes the pallete.

I tried it 4 times (all dine in, service perfect, place clean and excellent food) and, the final test , was placing an order for my entire family for new year's eve (total of 170 CAD including taxes, was more than enough to satisfy 7 adults and 4 hungry teenagers). I placed the order for December 31st at 6 pm, I showed up on time and, even that the restaurant was packed at that time and they were all busy, my order was warm a ready to go. “I work in Osborne next to Spicy Noodle House so I order semi-regularly. The hot and sour soup is my favourite, especially if I'm not feeling well. That soup will cure whatever ails you. I also tried the spicy beef chow mien most recently. The portion size was perfect, and they do not skimp on the meat or veggies :) The owners are really friendly too.

I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants some seriously satisfying comfort food in a hurry. Everything I order from here is served up hot, fresh, quick, and satisfying.
