Starbucks in Winnipeg

“I was deeply disturbed by an interaction I saw in between a customer and a worker at this location on August 28, 2025. I can see here that they left a 1 star review so I’m posting this to counteract his scathing (and crazy) review. I’ll let you find out yourself who it might be.

Anyways, It’s a shame that people think that they can yell at people literally working at a Starbucks.

I witnessed a customer today yelling profanities and having tantrum, like a big baby on the patio. I appreciated that the staff here stood up for themselves and didn’t let a man baby bully them. I hope that the largely insecure man (who, by the way did this in front of his children - they looked pretty mortified) looks into the mirror when he gets home and feels nothing but embarrassment and shame for his behavior. Apparently he feels embarrassed anyways, rightfully so.

5 stars for the staff/ 1 big diaper for the man baby I saw having a tantrum on the patio.“

“Every morning, I stroll from the Holiday Inn where I'm staying to grab a latte at the nearby Starbucks on Pembina Highway. This particular location has an older charm but exudes a welcoming vibe, complete with a patio for outdoor seating. It tends to get lively, especially with kids, likely due to a nearby school. The staff are fantastic and my morning lattes are consistently spot on.“

“I really like Starbucks — their service is always great. One day, my boyfriend and I went there and maybe we ran into a new staff member, because they got our drinks mixed up. We had to change our drinks three times in total (we felt sorry about it too, but still hoped to get what we ordered). The staff was very friendly and handled the situation so well, which made us feel less awkward. By the way, their breakfast is also really delicious!“

“My partner and I unfortunately experienced extreme homophobia and hate speech while near this location, but the staff here turned what could have been an awful night into a moment of kindness. They were incredibly caring, checking in with us to make sure we felt safe and comfortable, and even offered to remove the people who were harassing us. On top of that, they surprised us with a few complimentary snacks and a sweet note on the bag that read, “Ignore the haters.” It truly meant so much. Huge shoutout to Diego and Hollie you were the absolute best!“

“The food was okay, the service was very slow, I recently visited one when there was a buy one get one free promo, from the time I placed my order to the time I got my order, it took them an hour and 13 minutes when there was 5 people working. The atmosphere would have been relaxing except it was packed that day, normally it is good for a friend meet-up. But it is starbucks, it's my go-to every day latte when I'm not with my hubby?“

“This location is one of the best!
The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, creating such a positive and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a wonderful place to sit, enjoy your drink, and take in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

The lady with the accent at the drive-through is especially kind and genuine — she always greets you with a smile and somehow makes your day feel better. You can really tell that the people here care about their customers.“

“Nice spot, gets busy during the day. Can be difficult to find parking. Go early and there's no wait... go mid day and you'll be waiting even if you've ordered on the Starbucks app ahead of time. They also have a drive trough which likely gets slighlty better service at peak times. The Baritas are working hard to get orders made and there's only so much they can do. Starbucks should be in stand alone buildings with lots of parking available to accommodate there large and always growing customer base.“

“I have had the same girl a few times. She usually works like 4pm on Saturday. I go after I hit the gym to get my refresher (it was my 2nd of the day, don't tell my trainer)Anyways, I don't know her name but she is skinny and has shoulder length brown hair. She is so nice! She is also funny. She always makes my drinks amazing. 50000 stars to her!“

“I went here to get a Java Chip drink, but sadly they didn’t make it because they said it’s out of stock or whatever but they recommended me something else very similar to it. It was so nice. They were very cool and very kind. Thank you.“

“I truly enjoy visiting the Starbucks location at 2080 McGillivray Blvd in Winnipeg! Simply put because of excellent customer service and great product! Of note, the staff are consistently positive and helpful to myself and other customers. I attached a couple of photos including an Americano and a Peach Green Tea Lemonade which are a few of my favorites! My experiences have been both time and money well spent all things considered.“

Dietary restrictions: All kinds of dairy-free options to replace milk or cream. Almond milk, Oat milk, Coconut milk, Lactose-free milk, etc.“

“Usual Starbucks except for this time. My wife wraps her retainer in a napkin as she can’t eat or drink with it in. You guessed it, threw it out with the rest of our garbage. She only noticed 2hrs later when we got home
As it’s a $500 retainer we panicked to the store and a very helpful Joshua kindly went with us to the bin which had not yet thrown in the big garbage bin.
We would’ve taken the bag home but Joshua very kindly dived right in, and luckily, found it for us.
So, long story, happy ending but Joshua needs a huge reward for looking after us.

“I wish I caught her name, but the young lady who served me at the Radisson Starbucks this morning was stellar. We talked about Brett Hart (?!?) and being fans. Just her general demeanour really picked me up. My Americano was perfect and the store is spotless! An astounding way to start a stressful day! Thank you, Wrestling Fan Barista!!!“

“Starbucks at Outlet Collection Winnipeg is always a reliable place for a quick break during shopping. The location is clean, well-organized, and has a nice vibe even when the mall is busy. The staff here are friendly, polite, and usually pretty quick with orders. They greet you with a smile and make sure your drink is exactly how you want it.

My drink was made perfectly — rich flavour, good temperature, and consistent every time I visit. Their bakery items and snacks are also fresh, which is great when you need something small to keep your energy up while shopping.

The seating area is comfortable and kept tidy. Even though there’s a crowd at times, the line moves smoothly. The only thing that could make it even better is slightly faster service during peak hours, but overall they handle rush times really well.

A great place to chill, grab a coffee, or take a short break while shopping in the mall. Definitely one of the best spots inside Outlet Collections.“

“Wonderful location with amazing employees, I didn’t know they didn’t take cash and I didn’t have my card but Ravneet pulled out her card and paid for me! My drink was ready within a minute and it was amazing, the good deed will be passed along!“

“This location is one of the very few that still feels like a classic sitting cafe from the nineties. Despite the modern aesthetic, the music feels very mid ninties folk alternative and the staff feel like friends youd meet at 11 pm and talk to for four hours in 1995 As a Gen X lad, i appreciate the hidden qualities of this place. Also a version of a mojito? No complaints. Youll love it here and youll love to lose tine here as well.“

“I recently visited a Starbucks and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, quickly taking my order and preparing my drink just the way I like it. I had a classic latte, and it was perfectly made—smooth, creamy, and just the right temperature. The store was clean and comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere that made it a nice place to relax or get some work done. Overall, I had a pleasant visit and would definitely return for my next coffee fix!“

“The staff were SUPER helpful this past week when I requested used coffee grinds (grinds for gardens program), a requested as much as possible expecting not a lot but they went above and beyond. I got as many as I needed and in the past from other locations I have received them with garbage in them, which not the biggest deal, but it was so so appreciated because it was both what I needed and clean, and just grinds! I have also previously gotten drinks from here and it was great service then and done right. The person that helped me acquire the grinds and went above and beyond, if I'm not mistaken with what I overheard, was Ernesto so special thanks to them!“

“This Starbucks coffee is located inside of Savon foods in Bridgewater Forest area of Winnipeg. They receding for about 20 adjacent to the counter. The same on food’s deli is also located next to it as well so perfect place to dive into both. The staff is friendly, it’s a nice environment and overall great ambience. Plenty of free parking. I recommend.“

“Always a pleasant experience at this Starbucks location. The ladies working are so kind and now remember my order, which makes my experience that much better. There can be a wait sometimes but that, of course, is subject to flights and time at the airport but, even so, they manage to get us through fast and efficiently. They could probably use an extra hand at these times.“

“The few iced drinks I order are always made correctly even with the customization options. The Frappuccinos and Lattes are unmatched! I do wish the store merchandise was abit cheaper. The cups/bottles on the shelves go from $30 - $40+ which is just ridiculous.“
