“Always super friendly with amazing Curry Chicken 🍗! They also cook traditional yellow fried rice. Not that nasty brown stuff that these other Baltimore restaurants cook.
Their customer service is great and they're always very friendly. This is the best place in East Baltimore.“

“Food was delicious and straightforward. The wait time wasn’t too long, especially since you can start eating as soon as they roll out the cart of steamed and baked dishes. Highly recommend their duck and beef lo mein. Make sure to get their steamed Crystal Shrimp and steamed pork buns!“

“Where do I even start? I ordered the Orange Chicken, which came with steamed white rice, a Vegetable Spring Roll, and a Cheese Steak Roll through the Uber Eats app. The food was absolutely delicious 🤤till the point I didn’t want my food to finish. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering how flavorful everything was. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving quality Asian food. I’ll definitely be returning! Excellent job chief👏“

“I finally had the infamous Dirty Yak Spicy with shrimp and extra egg and….I enjoyed it! It was true to its word when they said spicy which I can appreciate. Once ya nose start running…..that’s how you know it’s hot! I like the noodle consistency and texture. The ratio of noodle to shrimp was good. It was well seasoned. Great portion size for the price. The wait time was prompt. No complaints here. Look forward to trying other items on the menu in the future.“
“I ordered take out from this business for the first time and ordered beef & broccoli along with their fried chicken wings and pork fried rice. From the time I placed the call to the time I arrived was a matter of minutes and my food was already ready. Super fast service and the food was great with large portions. I will be revisiting in the future!“

I will go back to get more and I’m glad they answer the PHONE QUICK! I called my order in rather me sitting in my car in a dark area .I wish they had this in the COUNTY ! Just a FYI, I literally have to drive 30 mins for this and it’s worth it.“

“China House is a classic, old-school Chinese restaurant that feels like a familiar comfort food stop in Baltimore. It’s the kind of place locals often turn to for hearty American-Chinese favorites — think crispy cheese steak egg rolls, crab rangoon, fried rice and plenty of noodle dishes — with generous portions that hit the spot when you’re craving that take-out style vibe.
I appreciate how simple and satisfying the menu feels: the appetizers are fun to share (especially if you’re picking up wings or spring rolls), and there’s plenty of variety in the combos so you can mix classics like fried dumplings, lo mein, and hot-and-sour soup all in one meal. Service can feel a bit casual, and some visits land better than others, but there’s a nostalgic, laid-back charm to this place that makes it a go-to for casual dinners or comfort food nights.
Overall: If you’re into classic, no-frills Chinese comfort food“

“This is probably going to be one of my reoccurring favorite lunch spots!
Everything was perfect, even parking wasn’t a challenge!
The atmosphere was calm like a coffee shop, the music wasn’t too loud. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
My husband and I ordered the egg and scallion fried rice, Kung Pao Chicken, pork soup dumplings, Mongolian beef with scallions, BBQ Bao Buns, a hot yuzu citrus tea, and a passion fruit green tea
All teas and drinks are made to order. I was able to customize my tea which I loved. I’m a Type I diabetic so when I go to restaurants I usually can only order a Diet Coke or water. I ordered this tea without sugar and added stevia.
All of the food was delicious, fresh, and not too greasy!“

“Walked in on a whime while attending training for work. I was greeted, which is major to me. Even if they didn’t greet me I would have typed a review and left one Star. Nonetheless. I was greeted. I asked a few questions and they were answered. I made my order, got my food and was impressed. The pizza was soooo good. One slice was definitely enough for me. Price was great as well. Will definitely pay them a visit again. Keep up the great work.“

“Egg foo young should not be CRUNCHY!!! Whoever made mine on the day of order had not mastered cracking eggs without mixing eggshells in... I asked for and received a full refund. Will never return. That experience was a violation I will not risk repeating.“

“I used to never see anyone going in there and one day I decided to try it and oh my goodness the food is absolutely delicious and even though I've never seen anybody go in there they STAY BUSY and you get your food in a timely manner. I give it a five-star atmosphere because once entered and you see the people in there the customers everyone is just so nice and patiently waiting even striking up conversations with each other except for one of my neighbors she called and gave them a hard way to go because she was charged for extra shrimp 🦐 as if she didn't know yes there is a cost for extras. There's only two people that work in there the lady and I guess it may be her husband and they work very hard preparing orders. I'm sold on this business.“

“Wow! This food was so good. Their $2 fries are phenomenal! My son loves their cheeseburger sub. We finally tried the Shrimp Fried Yak and I was blown away. They put a nice amount of shrimp in there. I should have gotten an extra boiled egg. Too bad they open late.“

“This is my go-to spot in Mondawmin Mall whenever I’m hungry and need something quick, cheap, and filling. I’ve ordered from China Yum at least 8–10 times now (mostly online pickup or delivery), and it never disappoints. The portions are HUGE — one combo plate (General Tso’s or sesame chicken with fried rice and an egg roll) easily feeds me for two meals, and it’s only $9–$12. Chicken is always crispy, sauce is flavorful (nice sweet heat), rice is fresh, and veggies are cooked just right.
Online ordering is smooth, food is ready fast even during lunch rush, and the staff is friendly and gets the order right every time. Delivery through DoorDash/Uber Eats comes hot and accurate too. For mall food court Chinese, this place is consistently the best option in the area — way better than average. If you’re shopping at Target or just passing through, stop here. You won’t be mad. Highly recommend! 🥡🍗“

“Honestly speaking it’s not easy to find Chinese Restaurants that make really good General Tso and Orange chicken. Oriental Wok is the best place in the east Baltimore area for these dishes. Every single time I order my favorite dish it’s perfect. The chicken is not soggy and perfectly fried with the right amount of crunchiness. The sauce is a perfect blend of spices and sweetness that will have you addicted. Thank you Oriental Wok for making me love this dish again that I have eaten since I was a kid.“

“After visiting the Bethesda location I was excited to hear a nicer sichuan restaurant was opening in Charlie's Village. We brought a big group and we're not disappointed. Yes I'm sure some of the Chinese Americans who visit say it isn't 100% authentic, duh! But it's better than most of what you can find in the area. Also, I never trust reviews from takeout customers.“

“This is my first time ordering from Mochi Teriyaki on Doordash. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki with Lo Mein, they sent fried rice, shrimp teriyaki with fried rice, fried chicken wings with fries, and carrot cake. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp teriyaki with fried rice, and the fried chicken wings were delicious. My sister wanted the lo mein noodles, so she wasn't happy because she doesn't like rice that much. The carrot cake didn't have the nuts and pineapple like most carrot cakes. It was just carrot. To be fair, I gave Mochi Teriyaki four stars because the food was very good.“
“I love this place...stroll down to pick up my fresh fruits, veggies AND microgreens and juices from FarmerNell my son. (Who's dedicated in providing healthy-eating). I enjoy the atmosphere of the friendly staff, affordable prices. Fresh at the Avenue supporting the community is Awesome!!“

“04/26/25 was my first time eating here. I always pick up for my DoorDash clients but never myself. When I walked in as a customer it was friendly and welcoming. I advised the person at the counter that I have never eaten here and there exact reply was “ but you always come for doordash pickups” we both laughed and enjoyed the small moment. I order a small shrimp fried rice, small plain white rice, order of crab sticks and 4 wings with shrimp fried rice. The food was absolutely delicious, it was hot, tasty and worth the experience. If you are in a rush to eat this is not the place as the food stays hot very long which to me is a good thing 😊🤪. I will definitely be returning to try more options.“

“China Chef is a casual Chinese restaurant in Baltimore’s Canton area that’s great if you’re in the mood for classic Chinese-American comfort food with generous portions and easy ordering for takeout or delivery. The menu has all the familiar favorites you’d expect — orange chicken, General Tso’s chicken, fried rice, lo mein, chow mein, egg foo young, and combination plates — so it’s a go-to spot for familiar flavors that hit the spot when you want something satisfying and affordable.
The vibe here is relaxed and unpretentious — it feels like a neighborhood take-out favorite rather than a fancy sit-down spot. Reviews online are mixed: some folks on delivery apps rave about the tasty, well-seasoned dishes and convenience, while others suggest that the experience can vary from visit to visit.
Personal take: I’d describe it as reliable, comforting Chinese takeout — great for lunch or dinner when you want classic Chinese favorites without anything too complicated. The portions are generous, the flavors familiar, and it’s a nice casual pick if you’re craving orange chicken, lo mein, or a combo plate in Baltimore.“

“One of the best Chinese food spots I’ve had.
I had a craving for Chinese food and found China House not far from my Airbnb, glad I did. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken combo, which came with rice, a shrimp egg roll, and a delicious tea. The food was fresh, the chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the fried rice had tasty vegetables that made it even better. I finished everything! The wait time was short less than 10 minutes and the service was smooth. If I’m ever back in Baltimore, I’m definitely coming here again“
