“Authentic Latin American food truck. It looks like your basic gas station taco truck, but it is run by a nice elder lady who does all the cooking and it is FREAKING DELICIOUS! An amazing surprise and consistently good (I've been back to try more things and make sure the repeat food was just as good and it was!). I honestly was shocked by how good it was and brought dinner home for my family the second time. It was also inexpensive, but CASH ONLY! Don't miss that step, cash only, but inexpensive and delicious!!! I would be willing to pay 50% more. And the food itself is delicious. I've had the steak burrito spicy, highly reccomend it, and the chicken quesadilla (also highly reccomend but the burrito is my favorite so far). Note, the photos I've posted are mostly eaten, I couldn't help myself and didn't think about it!“

“The food was absolutely amazing! I had beef fajitas, my aunt had the salmon with a wine sauce, my grandma had the carne assada, and my husband had a beef milanesa. I tried everyone’s food and loved all the plates. The meat was so juicy and tender! I have eaten at numerous latin restaurants over the years and this is definitely on top of my list. We received a tres leches cake for my grandma’s birthday and I can say it was the best one I’ve ever had. Just perfect 😍“

“The best ramen of my life!

I had to sign up and wait for about an hour, but it was absolutely worth it. While waiting, we grabbed a beer at one of the bars nearby, which made the time fly by.

We ordered the chicken karaage and the spice tonkotsu to share, and honestly, it was the best ramen in the world — the broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and everything was beautifully balanced.

On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would come back a thousand times!“

Kale is much better than what normally comes on a taco, and the flavor doesn’t overwhelm as kale is known to do. From the sauces, there is a good heat which was a nice surprise the first time. “We had an excellent experience at Medium Rare. The staff was extremely attentive, the food was delicious. It was fresh, hot and generous portions- both times! The servers were particularly were extremely aware of dietary restrictions and even comped us two glasses of champagne as we were celebrating an anniversary. “I had the pleasure of dining at The Hitching Post DC. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, mac & cheese, collard greens. The lamb chops are in my top 2 of the best I've ever tasted. I don't normally order mac & cheese when I go out to a restaurant, but this order was perfect as well. The collard greens could use a little vinegar, however, they were still delicious. Advertised to close at 7p, we walk in at 6:40p to say the kitchen is closed. 20 mins is enough time to put soup together for us eat it and leave. That being said, we were really craving some pho and we found Pho 81 in Germantown. They close at 8p and I hate to say I will chose Pho 81 over BooBoo Pho because it was beyond delicious and it was a slight bit cheaper.“

Edit - My one qualm is that one time, my partner ordered a burger and while two of our burgers came out, he had to wait nearly 45 minutes for his. I’m still going to come back, but that was a bit surprising and disappointing and I hope that doesn’t happen again! I really like the atmosphere!“

“My daughter recently moved to the area. After a long day of cleaning and unpacking boxes we ordered pizza for dinner. This is the BEST pizza! The crust was perfect. It was not greasy. It was sliced perfectly-easy to pick up. Location was easy to find and service was SUPER friendly! I am looking forward to eating here again when I’m in town!“

“Solid place, we enjoyed the food quite a bit overall, and great service as well.

Cocktail could have been a bit better balanced and the pricing of the entrees was a bit steep for the quality. I would say the food is comparable to Clyde's or Glenwood's (fka Stanford Grill) in terms of MoCo spots.

We enjoyed the following:

Crispy Empanadas & Chipotle Dipping Sauce - delicious seasoned ground beef paired perfectly with the creamy aioli.

Tuna & Avocado Tartar, Crispy Wontons & Seaweed Salad - it was fine but have had better versions of this dish, just wasn't as fresh tasting as hoped

Sautéed Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes - With bacon mashed potatoes, roasted corn hash, and sweet corn sauce. My friend enjoyed his crab cakes, they're always good in MD, the crab quality does most of the work here.

Black & White Sesame Crusted Seared Tuna -
With roasted red pepper, snow pea, bean sprout, red onion, couscous, and sweet chili sauce - this was also good but not epic.

Trio of Profiteroles -Cream puffs with vanilla ice cream, caramel & chocolate sauces. Simple but excellent.“

“The night before the Marine Corps Marathon, we celebrated our anniversary dinner with family and relatives at Satay Club, a cozy Malaysian restaurant tucked in the heart of Washington DC. I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors — and this place truly impressed us with every bite.

We started our feast with their signature Satay — both chicken and lamb. Perfectly grilled with smoky charred edges, the skewers were tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the rich, nutty peanut sauce. It felt like a taste of Kuala Lumpur in DC!

Next came the salted fish fried rice, aromatic and full of wok hei (that irresistible smoky aroma). The balance of savory salted fish, soft egg, and crisp vegetables made it comfort food at its best. The calamari dish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with colorful bell peppers and crunchy shallots — a delightful mix of texture and spice.

We also loved the tofu and eggplant stir-fry, which came in a deliciously savory sauce — rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. To end the evening, we indulged in ice chendol and fried banana, a sweet and refreshing finish that brought nostalgic memories of Southeast Asia.
