“I am not sure about the recent negative review this place received. I ordered two dishes, one with tofu and the other a lowmein with shrimp, and they were both copious and very tasty. It was also so reasonably priced. This is a very legit place.“

“My review might be different if I went for lunch instead of dinner, as it was relatively empty and some things interesting characters came in and wandered the restaurant while we were eating.

First, and most importantly, the food was incredible. We ordered a bunch of dim sum, and a scallion and egg fried rice. Overall, we ordered the pork soup dumplings, shrimp shumai, crystal shrimp dumplings, beef pastry, gluttonous, rice, Chinese burger and the scallion and egg fried rice.

The food was delicious, especially the shrimp shumai, the beef pastry, and the fried rice.

The staff was friendly, but unattentive unless prompted by me, but it could’ve just been an awful night.

I'm not sure if you know or not... but the east coast chinese chicken wings... are ? ?... well this place doesn't disappoint... chicken wings, pork fried rice, BBQ pork rib tips, chop suey & shrimp egg roll all good... the customer service excellent... the food was very fresh, seasoning is spot on... just know it's a take out only... if you're looking for great food at a great price... pull up... you won't be disappointed

“This low rating is Ridiculous! This is some of the best I’ve had I the city limits, and I mean that from ove the years.
I’m actually mad about the low rating, because I live close and avoided it.

And one day, I’m happy I changed my mind!
I consistently go for their wontons in hot sauce (so good), their Signipore Curry Noodles, Sum Gum Wonton Soup. They do the wonton/egg drop for $1 more (or so, ask them….).

This is awesome. The food is on point. I only have seen the super nice, quiet mannered lady w working the counter, and a gentleman behind her working in the kitchen with her. Whoever this person they complained about no longer works there. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences and it seems most people I see in there at the same.
These are nice people and they deserve to be told so.

The food is quality, fresh, I haven’t had anything in the menu I didn’t like. I love to cook, so I don’t eat out much. And even with that, I probably stopped here 2-3 times a month, which is a lot for me eating out.

I don’t even write a lot of reviews. But these folk deserve a 4.5 rating.
They deserve the success of their hard work and quality service.

And I rally love their cheesesteak egg rolls! Can’t forget about them!

“This is my go-to spot in Mondawmin Mall whenever I’m hungry and need something quick, cheap, and filling. I’ve ordered from China Yum at least 8–10 times now (mostly online pickup or delivery), and it never disappoints. The portions are HUGE — one combo plate (General Tso’s or sesame chicken with fried rice and an egg roll) easily feeds me for two meals, and it’s only $9–$12. Chicken is always crispy, sauce is flavorful (nice sweet heat), rice is fresh, and veggies are cooked just right.
Online ordering is smooth, food is ready fast even during lunch rush, and the staff is friendly and gets the order right every time. Delivery through DoorDash/Uber Eats comes hot and accurate too. I had a craving for Chinese food and found China House not far from my Airbnb, glad I did. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken combo, which came with rice, a shrimp egg roll, and a delicious tea. “Honestly speaking it’s not easy to find Chinese Restaurants that make really good General Tso and Orange chicken. Oriental Wok is the best place in the east Baltimore area for these dishes. Every single time I order my favorite dish it’s perfect. The chicken is not soggy and perfectly fried with the right amount of crunchiness. The sauce is a perfect blend of spices and sweetness that will have you addicted. Thank you Oriental Wok for making me love this dish again that I have eaten since I was a kid.“

“Pretty good food but portions are absurdly small for the price. Got general Tso’s, Thai basil chicken and Philly cheesesteak rolls. The main courses are portioned in standard rectangular delivery containers, but half of the rectangle is filled with rice! The rice doesn’t come in it’s own paper container! The General Tso’s contained a mere 7 small pieces of chicken. Further, the Thai basil chicken was filled with onion (for the half not occupied by rice) and contained even less chicken than the General Tso’s, maybe five sad, small slices at the most. The sweet and sour soup I received as a side was in a sauce-sized carry out container. Not the large tall buckets or even the ~4 inch tall round plastic containers you would expect for a soup, but the ~1.5 inch tall ones you’d get from a decently conscientious place to hold the sweet and sour sauce to prevent it from sogging up the chicken during delivery, for example. The cheesesteak rolls too were miniature in size, much smaller than expected considering they are sold singly for three dollars and forty cents.“
