I love that it's a short walk from my house. The orange chicken is good, fried rice was nice. I tried the shrimp yat gaw mein and was so very disappointed. It looked dry and severely lacking, but I tried hoping there was more flavor. Nope! Just straight up noodles a couple of shrimp, an egg, and a sprinkle of green onions. No sauce, no flavor, just wasted money. My crab Rangoon were stale this time too

Sunny Carry Out is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant known for its good, affordable food. The service is top-notch, fast, friendly, and efficient, making it a reliable choice for quick meals. The hot and spicy chicken remains a delicious favorite, and the shrimp fried rice is a popular option. The restaurant does not offer inviting seating, but customers can bring their own adult beverages. Despite some initial confusion about payment methods, they do accept credit cards, and ordering online is quick.
Recent reviews highlight the freshness and flavor of the food, made with high-quality ingredients. One customer praised the crab Rangoon for being crispy and sweet, and enjoyed the General Tso's combination platter, which included fried rice and an egg roll. The food is reasonably priced, with enough for multiple meals. Sunny Carry Out continues to be a go-to spot for those seeking a satisfying meal in the Hollins Market/Pigtown area.
